Review "Storm and Fury by Jennifer L. Armentrout"

Enter a world of gargoyle protectors, rising demons and one girl with an explosive secret.

Eighteen-year-old Trinity Marrow may be going blind, but she can see and communicate with ghosts and spirits. Her unique gift is part of a secret so dangerous that she’s been in hiding for years in an isolated compound fiercely guarded by Wardens--gargoyle shape-shifters who protect humankind from demons. If the demons discover the truth about Trinity, they’ll devour her, flesh and bone, to enhance their own powers.

When Wardens from another clan arrive with disturbing reports that something out there is killing both demons and Wardens, Trinity’s safe world implodes. Not the least because one of the outsiders is the most annoying and fascinating person she’s ever met. Zayne has secrets of his own that will upend her world yet again--but working together becomes imperative once demons breach the compound and Trinity’s secret comes to light. To save her family and maybe the world, she’ll have to put her trust in Zayne. But all bets are off as a supernatural war is unleashed...

Review:
I was looking forward to reading this book. Before going into this one, I reread the Dark Element Series to prepare. I was really wondering how Zayne would be without Roth to over shadow him. And how he would move on from Layla.
Let me tell you there where plenty of surprises in this book. Sometimes it felt like Zayne was a completely different person than the one we met in the Dark Element Series.

What is this book about:
This book is set in the dark Element world, and I would recommend reading it before reading this book. It's set about 6 months after Every Last Breath.
This time we focus on Zanye. For those of you who don't know him yet, Zayne is a tall, blonde, blue eyes, hot, gargoyle. You heard that right, he's a Gargoyle. Ten years ago gargoyles came out of hiding. They had a job to do, protect humans from demons.
Zayne and two of his clansmen are visiting another gargoyle strong hold to ask for reinforcements. There he meets Trinity. To all the onlookers, she seems like a human who lives with Gargoyls. As strange as that is, it's not the weirdest things about her. Not everything is what is seems.
Trinity is strong, sassy, argumentative, stubborn and beautiful. She doesn't have it easy, she has something called Retinitis Pigmentosa, a degenerative eye disease which could cause her to go blind over time, but she doens't let that stop her from fighting.
Strange things are happening in the Gargoyle world, something is attacking Gargoyles and demons alike. Attacks on the community Trinity lives in leave her shaking. She doens't want to stand on the side lines any longer, not when something she cares about deeply is put in grave danger.
As Zayne and Trinity try and out snark each other at every turn, they do grow closer to each other. They can't deny the attraction and chemistry between them, but something is holding them back.

What did I love about this book:
I love trinity, she is such a strong and sassy character. She really reminded me of Alex. I found it very insightful to learn more about Jennifer L. Armentrouts own eye disease because trinity has as well. I can't imagine what it must feel like, and how much easy things for us can be a huge struggle for others. I really respect Trinity, and Jennifer for their strength.
I liked seeing more sides of Zayne, some sides really took me by surprise. He had some dickish moments I didn't expect him to have.
The interaction between Trinity and Zayne where awesome. It was very funny.

Overall this book had great chemistry, funny moments, and great mystery and suspense. My friend and I tried to theorize and guess what was going on and what would happen but it remained a guess. We couldn't be exactly sure, like you sometimes can be with other books.

I know the books don't focus on Roth and Layle anymore but I loved seeing them, as well as Bambi and Cayman.

                                   The Lux Series
The last thing Dawson Black expected was Bethany Williams. As a Luxen, an alien life form on Earth, human girls are…well, fun. But since the Luxen have to keep their true identities a secret, falling for one would be insane.

Dangerous. Tempting. Undeniable.

Bethany can’t deny the immediate connection between her and Dawson. And even though boys aren’t a complication she wants, she can’t stay away from him. Still, whenever they lock eyes, she’s drawn in.

Captivated. Lured. Loved.

Dawson is keeping a secret that will change her existence...and put her life in jeopardy. But even he can’t stop risking everything for one human girl. Or from a fate that is as unavoidable as love itself.

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

His eyes searched mine intently, and for a moment we stood there toe to toe. "The ones who throw their beauty around, waste what they have? Their beauty is only passing. It's just a shell hiding nothing but shadows and emptiness.”

Review:
To be honest I didn't want to read this book. Aliens didn't sound really appealing to me. It was the cover that made me want to read it. I mean who doesn't like looking at Pepe Toth (Cover model aka daemon). So I read it and I'm so glad I did because I absolutely loved it.

What is this book about:
This book is about aliens. No not the murderous kind of aliens from the alien movies and not ET or slimy monsters. No very very hot aliens.
Anyhow this book is about Katy, Katy just moved to a town with precisely one traffic light and no mail service. She and her mom moved there after her dad died. Next door lives the very hot daemon. He seems perfect until he opens his mouth. Deamon is rude, very rude and he knows it and doesn't care. He and Katy do not get along, Daemon doesn't seem to get along with allot of people. His and Katy's arguments are epic. They are so hilarious and so funny. Katy really got claws.
Daemon isn't the only one that lives next door, he has a sister as well. A sister that is much nicer but it became obvious very soon that the siblings are hiding something. Daemon is over protective and acts like everything can come crashing down very soon.

What is the secret the Blacks are hiding, not in a million years did Katy expect that her douchy hot neighbor and his sister are aliens, and that they aren't alone. One thing is for certain, live for Katy will never be normal or simple again.

What did I like/love about this book
I loved the banter Katy and Daemon had going on. Katy is a kind woman but she got claws. She won't let anyone walk all over her, she will stand up for herself. I liked her spunk and kindness. She cares about people and she's a book nerd. I loved that about her.
I really like Deamon as well. Yes he was acting like an ass but he showed another side as well. He showed it by the way he cared for his sister and how he did care about Katy as well, although he may never admit it.
I really like how the author worked with an, to me, original concept (in books) and made something amazing.

Being connected to Daemon Black sucks…

Thanks to his alien mojo, Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems.

Something worse than the Arum has come to town…

The Department of Defense are here. If they ever find out what Daemon can do and that we're linked, I’m a goner. So is he. And there's this new boy in school who’s got a secret of his own. He knows what’s happened to me and he can help, but to do so, I have to lie to Daemon and stay away from him. Like that's possible. Against all common sense, I'm falling for Daemon. Hard.

But then everything changes…

I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

No one is who they seem. And not everyone will survive the lies…

Review:
This is the second book in the series. And it's my least favorite. I was getting annoyed with Katy sometimes, I understood her, understood her reasoning but I got impatient. I remember when I read it that I felt a bit of the excitement I had for the first book leave and I was worried that I had too high expectations. Luckily I did not because this series is amazing.

What is this book about:
This books starts where the last book ended. Katy and Daemon are connected. She is well uhm marked by left over alien energy residue. I don't know how to explain it differently, you've read the book so you should know what I mean. Katy is convinced Deamon only likes her now because they are connected and Daemon is hell bent to prove her otherwise.
A new kid in town, Blake, isn't helping either because he's also interested in Katy, and Katy kinda in him because she's craving normalcy. Blake however isn't interested in Katy in the way she thinks he is. He is hiding something and Katy may not like when she find out what. Trusting the wrong people can have serious consequences.
Besides Daemon being all up in her business strange things are happening, things that aren't possible and that shouldn't happen.
Can Katy find out what's going on and can she really believe that Daemon is actually liking her and can she admit to herself that she's also kind of into him?

What did I like/love about this book:
Like I said in the beginning, this book isn't my favorite in the series. I still liked it but it wasn't as good as the first one.
I was more annoyed with Katy and got impatient with her. Blake annoyed me as well and I never trusted him.
I really wanted Katy and Daemon to be together. They shared some great and steamy moments together. Their banter was still as amazing as it was in the first book and very funny. Tension crept up high between these two and I loved that.

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn't fooling around. Doubting him isn't something I'll do again, and now that we've made it through the rough patches, well... There's a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can't protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I'm no longer the same Katy. I'm different... And I'm not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I'm capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won't turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we're stronger...and they know it.

Review:
Things really pick up in this book. Katy and Daemon finally admitted they were into each other and are together. I couldn't be more happy about that.

What is this book about:
Everyone is trying to move on from the disastrous events that happened at the end of Onyx. Yet things are far from over. The DoD is showing up more often and is really interested in Katy and Daemon.
Dawson is also something Daemon didn't see coming but his brother is far from who he used to be. All he wants is to get Bethany back.
The characters are growing and changing. They're becoming stronger and I really liked seeing that.
Katy and Daemon are trying to find out how to make their relationship work, to get Dee to stop stop being mad at Katy (I understand why though) and to help Dawson get Bethany back.
In this book Katy and Daemon find out more about what the DoD are really up to. They find out that giving second chances to the wrong people can have very grave consequences and that the people you thought you could trust, the ones that you thought told you the truth were indeed lying.
Things will never be the same for Katy, that's for sure

What did I like/love about this book:
I loved seeing Kat and Deamon actually be together. To see them stop being so stubborn, well they're still stubborn but to see them actually work together and be together was so great. I really loved that.
This book is where the series really picks up. There is more action in this book than there was in the others.
I had such a hard time putting this book down and that cliffhanger all but killed me. That was just cruel.

I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.

And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I’m not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it’s that humans can’t be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.

But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I’m the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl…she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.

Falling for Katy—a human—won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that’s one thing I’ll never let happen...

Review:
I loved it! I handled my reread a bit differently this time. I couldn't not read it all in Daemon's pov as well.
So basically this book contains Obsidian, Onyx and Opal in Daemons pov. Most scenes are the same but there are some extra scenes as well that we didn't get in the original books.
I loved seeing things from Daemon's point of view. To see what he was thinking in the beginning. How he feels about everything. It made me love him more.

What is this book about:
Like I said above this book is the first three in Daemons point of view. You don't have to read Obsidian, Onyx and Opal. You could begin the series with this one but it would be more fun to read both.

Oblivion 1.5
Daemon black isn't your normal highschool guy. He is hot and arrogant and he knows it. What people don't know it that he isn't human, in fact he and his siblings are aliens . They came to earth many years ago after their own planet blew up and have lived on earth ever since.
Deamon thought he was lucky that the house next to his was empty only to discover his luck has ran out. Not only did new people move it, it's a girl the same age as him and his sister. Knowing his sisters ability to be friends with anyone, and the risk of exposure he tries everything to keep the girl next door, Katy away from him and his sister. Not everything goes according to plan though.
Daemon thought it would be easy, that Katy would just leave. What he didn't expect is that the girl he thought average wasn't so average, and as he likes to put it, kitten got claws.

Oblivion 2.5
The story picks up right where we left it in Oblivion 1.5. Katy and Daemon share a connection. Daemon knows that connection isn't what made him like Katy or make him attracted to her but Katy is hell bent on believing otherwise. Daemon however wouldn't be Daemon if he walked away from a challenge. He is trying his best to convince Katy they are perfect together and that he always liked her but indeed had a shitty way of showing it.
When this new guy comes to town, bard, benny, what's is name, oh yeah Blake, Daemon thought it wouldn't get more complicated that that. But when Katy experiences things she shouldn't, and Blake seems awfully interested in her. Daemon tries his hardest to help katy and keep Blake away. However there are things that even Daemon can't keep from happening, nomatter how hard he tries or nomatter how different he wants things to be.
Daemon knew he should have trusted his own gut, his instincts. Now things have changed, and it might not be for the better.

Oblivion 3.5
Things happened in the second book that Daemon never expected. His brother wasn't dead. He's alive and he's home. If only that was the end of it. Instead of wanting to stay the hell away from Daedalus Dawson is hell bent on going back to get Beth. And Daemon is hell bent on not letting that happen. It's eating away from his time he gets to spend with Katy.
However when Katy promises that they, she and daemon would help Dawson get Bethany back. They have to do things her rather not. But he can't complain, he got Katy.
Now they need to get Bethany back for Dawson and all will be oke......he hopes.

What did I like about this book:
I love seeing what goes around in Daemons head. Book 2 is still my least favorite. I got so frustrated and impatience with Katy. And seeing it through Daemons eyes didn't help.
I loved seeing all my old favorite scenes again but also the new ones. It made me fall in love with daemon more.
And my heart broke for him in certain scenes.

In my opinion, If you love Daemon and the Lux series, you'd want to read this book!

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.

After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.

All Katy can do is survive.

Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?

Together, they can face anything.

But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on?

And will they even be together?

Review:
I really love this book. I think it might be my favorite so far in this series. I loved how Deamon and Katy were together. They really proved they love each other and are great for each other. After these lows I hope they get many highs.

What is this book about:
This book starts where the last one so brutally ended. Katy is taken by the DOD and that's no walk in the park. The DoD is very interested in hybrids, they want more of them for reasons you might not suspect.
Deamon can't just let Katy go through all of this alone so he let himself get caught so he can be with her and support her.

Together they must find a way to get out of the DoD's clutches.

What did I like/love about this book:
I just love Katy and Deamon. They are so great together. I really liked the suspense in this book.
My heart went out for Katy and everything they are making her endure. They are very cruel and it's sickening.
I really enjoyed reading this book, the cliffhanger ripped my heart out though. It left me with lots of anxiety. I have to read the last book ASAP!

They must team with an unlikely enemy if there is any chance of surviving the invasion. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything— even what they cherish most—to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

Review:
This book was so full of thrill, action, and anxiety. I loved how everything came together and how it all worked out in the end.
Jennifer has done an amazing job creating this world and these amazing characters. She is an incredible author.

What is this book about:
This book takes off right where the last one ended. Katy and Daemon managed to escape from the DoD with a bang. After that they hoped that laying low would do the trick but then came the other luxen. A full blown invasion. And to make matters worse, Daemon, Dawson and Dee disapeared without a trace.
Katy is desperate to find Daemon again, to find out what happened to them. When she find Daemon he is changed. He doesn't seem like the Daemon she fell in love in, but more like the asshole Daemon that couldn't care less about her that she met in the first book. What's happening to Daemon, and why is he so loyal to the invading Luxen?

What did I like/love about this book:
This book had everything I wanted for a finally. It was so good. I couldn't put it down, I had to keep reading, I had to know what was going on and how things would turn out.
I had so many emotions while reading this book, my poor heart.
I'm gonna miss these characters and this world.

Review:
So this is a spin off book from the lux series. You don't have to read the lux series but I do recommend it.

What is the story about:
The story starts with Serena's friend freaking out about something. Talking about some weird glow in the dark person that supposedly are the senators son. So what could go wrong right. Well serena is finding out that allot can go wrong when the senator wants you dead. The senator thinks serena's friend told her something, something very important. But serena doesn't know, what she supposedly knows.
Hunter isn't a guy who you should take home to your momma, he is a cold hard handsome pale eyed, dark haired, hot son of a bitch, oh yeah he is also an alien. There are two kind of aliens on earth. The luxen, who are light and there are the arum, who are darkness, shadow. Hunter is one of those arum. And he is assigned to protect Serena from harm . He didn't think Serena would be so gorgeous, spunky and kind of a fighter. He also didn't think aurum could develop any kind of feelings other than lust and hunger. And there is chemistry and lots of lust in their story.

What did I love about this book:
I really really really loved this book. Hunter, omg that man is so freaking hot. And the intensity between him and serena, hot danm.
I also liked to read about the aurum more. It made me think about good and bad, because no race is either good or bad. That's also the case with the arum and the luxen. Both race's have good and bad people.
I really liked serena, she really handled herself well. God I loved Hunter he was so snappy and sarcastic and just hilarious. I really love him, and he was hot.
OMG those scenes with serina, I feel my head getting red already thinking about it.

Review:
I was really looking forward to reading this book! I love the lux series and I loved Luc so I was really excited to see him grown up.

What is this book about:
This book is set 4 years after Opposition. The world knows aliens walk among them and they aren't taking it well. People are scared, and some are just giant assholes.
Anyhow, this series focuses on Luc and Evie. For those of you that read the lux series, you know what Luc is, you know what he can do. For those of you that haven't read the lux series, please do so now.
Evie is a 17 year old high school student. Her mother is Silvia Dasher, we met her in the Lux series, and she works for the government.
One night Evie decides to go to a illegal night club with her friend. The night club is known for allowing anyone in, including aliens. Evie's live is going to change after this night and she doesn't even know how much. Ever meeting Luc in the night club she hoped to leave that dreadful night behind her but Luc has other plans.
Things post invasion aren't all about roses. People are getting killed and it all points into the Luxen being the ones who are doing it. People are protesting, wanting the luxen to be round up and be send to special camps and neighborhoods, since that worked oh so wel in history.
The killer is targeting people in Evie's school and it seems whomever is doing this has noticed Evie as well.

What did I like about this book:
I loved seeing Luc again. I really liked him in the Lux series. I absolutely loved seeing Daemon and Archer again.
I am just absolutely excited to be back in the lux world.
Jennifer has some really clever plot twists hiding in this book. Some I saw coming and some completely slapped me into my face.
I cannot wait to read the next book! I really want to see where this is going!

"Love in my world usually ended up with someone hearing 'I smite thee!' as she was cursed to be some lame flower for the rest of her life."

For three years, Alexandria has lived among mortals—pretending to be like them and trying to forget the duty she'd been trained to fulfill as a child of a mortal and a demigod. At seventeen, she's pretty much accepted that she's a freak by mortal standards… and that she'll never be prepared for that duty.

According to her mother, that’s a good thing.

But as every descendant of the gods knows, Fate has a way of rearing her ugly head. A horrifying attack forces Alex to flee Miami and try to find her way back to the very place her mother had warned her she should never return—the Covenant. Every step that brings her closer to safety is one more step toward death… because she's being hunted by the very creatures she'd once trained to kill.

The daimons have found her.

Review:
I liked this little preview. However I'm glad that I read it after Half-blood. That way I was already familiar with the story and the characters. You can easily start with this one, it's a good way to start the series. I'm normally just not that into prequel novella's.

What is this story about:
This story is about Alex(andra) who isn't like any other 17 year old girl. She isn't exactly human. She is a decedent of the Greek gods. Well she is a descendant of a pure blood (hematoi) and a human, making her a half-blood.
Three years ago her mother took her away from the covenant ( a school for half-blood and pures, while also a community for the hematoi to live) and they've been on the run ever since. Ever moving, never settling.
One night the thing that Alex always worried about happend, the Daimons, Pure Bloods turned addicted to Aether (a magical force in their blood) which turned them into very lethal monsters, found them...
This story gives a little more background to Alex and her mother.

What did I like about this story
I liked that we saw a bit more of Alex's mom. We got to know her a little bit, see what she was like. Even though we know from Half-blood what happened to Alex and her Mom, it's interesting to see it actually happening.
Like I said above, you don't have to start the series with Daimon, but it's a good place to start if you want to.

Overall I enjoyed reading this little book.

The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi - pure-bloods - have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals - well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.

Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:

Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.

Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem - staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck.

Review
It's been such a long time since I read this series but it stayed with me non the less. I still remember the main plot.
I loved diving back into this world. Reading things that I didn't remember.

What is this book about
This book is about Greek mythology. Only they aren't myths. They're real. The gods had children called Hematoi. Those with two hematoi parents where called pure bloods. Children of the gods. Those with a pure blood and human parent are called half-blood.
Half blood are thought of as the lesser species. They where either (forced) to be servants or became guards/sentinals.
Alex is a 17 year old half-blood. She lived her entire live in the Covenant, a hematoi community, studying and training to become a sentinal. That was until 3 years ago her mother pulled her from the covenant and ran.
However they found alex and brought her back to the covenant. Alex has one chance to prove that she can catch up and become a sentinal or become a servant. Aiden, a hot Pure blood, offered to help her train and get her back on track. Sounds simple right? If only things where that simple...

What did I like/love about this book
I love Greek mythology so I found that aspect really interesting.
I still love Alex, she is such a funny bad ass character. Its fun to relive her journey again.
I also like Aiden. He and alex are great together. The stupid breeding rules are still pissing me off. It's just wrong.

There is need. And then there is Fate. Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome--especially when Alexandria's other half is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom--so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do--and sacrifice--for her. When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies--lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon--and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude--or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

Review:
I find it amazing that after all these years, I still love this series so much. That even though I know what happens I still get nervous. I still get the feelings I did when I first read this book.
This book definitely doesn't suffer from second book syndrome. It's so good.
My heart goes out for Alex, shit just keep getting dumped on her plate. I like Seth but not with Alex, they are to alike for it to work and ofcourse there's Aiden.

What is this book about:
This book begins where the last one ended. Alex and Aiden are still training. Alex is back on track on becoming a sentinel, and unfortunately for her she also has to train with Seth.
As much as she wants do dislike Seth, there is a part of her that likes him.
Not everything is going well, with Halfs being able to turn into daimons the threat on the covenant is high. Fear and paranoia is never a good thing.
Alex has yet to pay another price, and it's not one she was willing to pay, one she never want herself or her friends to pay, but sadly that wasn't up to her.

What did I like/love about this book:
I liked Seth, he's a funny guy but he has serious boundary issues.
I loved seeing this story pan out again. How things are being set in motion, its amazing.
I love Alex, she is such a strong characters. She has her flaws, everyone does but she does her best dealing with them. She is always trying to do the right thing. And her sass, it's just hilarious.
I also love Aiden, I mean who doens't like the dark hair, light eyes look, but he is just a good guy.
I liked seeing more of him, his sense of humor, his strength, and his desire to do right by alex, even if that means pushing her away.

"History is on repeat, and things didn't go so well the last time. "

Alexandria isn't sure she's going to make it to her eighteenth birthday--to her Awakening. A long-forgotten, fanatical order is out to kill her, and if the Council ever discovers what she did in the Catskills, she's a goner... and so is Aiden.

If that's not freaky enough, whenever Alex and Seth spend time "training"--which really is just Seth's code word for some up-close and personal one-on-one time--she ends up with another mark of the Apollyon, which brings her one step closer to Awakening ahead of schedule. Awesome.

But as her birthday draws near, her entire world shatters with a startling revelation and she's caught between love and Fate. One will do anything to protect her. One has been lying to her since the beginning. Once the gods have revealed themselves, unleashing their wrath, lives will be irrevocably changed... and destroyed.

Those left standing will discover if love is truly greater than Fate...

Review
Well shit just got real! Allot happens in this book. Things that cannot be reversed, no matter how much we might want them to. Actions have consequences.

What is this book about:
Things got set into motion that will change the lives of everyone. Alex and Seth are continuing to develop, they are still training but Alex promised to give him a chance. But she can't just forget Aiden.
People aren't happy, they are scared and someone will go to extreme lengths to make sure Alex doens't make it to her 18th birthday. While others are trying to jump start her awakening.
Things are going to change, they have to change, but will things change for the better or the worst....

What did I like/love about this book:
I loved the thrill and excitement of this book. I just didn't want to put it down, had to rediscover what happened next. The story, the world, the characters have really sucked me in.
I can tell from a mile a way that Seth's being manipulated, that he is being used, and that he is lying to Alex. I could tell that the first time I read this book as well. It's sad to see because I know what a good guy Seth can be. He didn't have it easy and I feel for him.
I do love the development with Alex and Aiden. I'm glad that Aidens resolve finally broke so to say ahahaha. They deserve to be happy.
And that ending, my god, it still hurts. I'm anxious to read on even though I know full well what's going to happen next.

Review:
I really loved this novella but it also broke my heart at the same time. I felt so bad for Aiden. It was awesome seeing things from his POV.

What is this book about:
This novella is a go between book 3 and 4. We see what happened after Alex awakened and went evil. Everything is told in Aidens point of view. Aiden is willing to do everything to help Alex even if his actions will make her hate him forever.

What did I like/love about this book:
I loved that this book was told in Aidens pov. It was nice to see what he was thinking, how he was feeling etc. I loved seeing more sides of Aiden. He is always so calm and collected and to see him get upset, how hard it was to see, was good.
He loves Alex so much that he is willing to do something that could possible make her hate him, just to save her.
It was odd seeing alex so subdued and naive and calm. But despite the Elixir she still knew that she loves Aiden, that says enough.
I wish we got more from Aidens pov though.

Fate isn’t something to mess with… and now, neither is Alex.

Alex has always feared two things: losing herself in the Awakening and being placed on the Elixir. But love has always been stronger than Fate, and Aiden St. Delphi is willing to make war on the gods—and Alex herself—to bring her back.

The gods have killed thousands and could destroy entire cities in their quest to stop Seth from taking Alex’s power and becoming the all-powerful God Killer. But breaking Alex’s connection to Seth isn’t the only problem. There are a few pesky little loopholes in the whole “an Apollyon can’t be killed” theory, and the only person who might know how to stop the destruction has been dead for centuries.

Finding their way past the barriers that guard the Underworld, searching for one soul among countless millions, and then somehow returning will be hard enough. Alex might be able to keep Seth from becoming the God Killer… or she might become the God Killer herself.

Review:
This book! That ending! It's intense. I love that this book sucked me in just like the first time I read this book.
I sped read through the entire thing, read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down.

What is this book about:
This book stars of where the last one ended. Alex awakend and is connected to Seth. Everything he wants, she wants. Everything he feels, she feels. The thing Alex feared the most, the thing Seth promised that wouldn't happen, happened. And that's not all, he totally planned it.
Will Alex be able to break the bond between them or will Aiden have lost her forever.
If that's not bad enough, Lucian is still waging a war against the gods, halfs and certain Pures. The gods aren't happy, and chaos is everywhere.

What did I like/love about this book:
I loved seeing more of Alex and Aiden together. They are so darn perfect for eachother. Aiden grounds Alex, he loves her and puts her first.
I love all the other characters as well.
And as much of an ass Seth is, I see how he was being manipulated. He still pissed me off big time though.

This book, especially that ending, well the chapters before the ending, break my heart. This book is full of action, it's really good.

What is this book about:
This book picks up where the last one ended. Ares all but killed Alex. He broke her in every way possible. She survives but it will take time to get over that, to heal from that, but time is a thing they don't have. Lucian and Ares are still waging a war against the gods. Innocents are getting killed.
Alex, Aiden and the army of awesome are trying to find a way to end the war. But killing a god requires a god killer, and the gods won't allow a god killer to live....

What did I like/love about this book
I feel like a broken cd for saying this but I loved the moments Alex and Aiden have. I love that they are more open about their relationship. They work really well as a couple.
I feel for Seth. He dis some pretty despicable things but I see that he was manipulated and that the addiction to aether got to him. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be held responsible but he took some pretty big steps to earn forgiveness for what he has done. In the end he realized that what he was going was wrong, and thats a great first step. He and Alex would never have worked but that doesn't mean he is a bad guy.
I loved the action and intensity of this book. I love that it still makes me feel the same things it did the first time I read it.
Great ending for a great series! Alex remains one of my favorite heroines.

                                The Titan Series
The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…

It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.

But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.

Because history has once again been flipped to repeat.

Review
I must say I loved this book allot more the second time I read it. I liked it the first time obviously but it didn't make a big an impact that the covenant series did.

I didn't really love nor hate Seth in the Covenant series. Did I get mad at him for getting between Alex and Aiden yes, do I hate how he behaved, yes, do I hate the things he did, definitely yes but do I hate him, no I don't. I could see how Seth got manipulated into doing what he did. I saw there was more to him than he was showing. And I believe, even more so after reading this book, that he never truly meant for things to happen as they did. He did everything in his power to make it right.

I didn't like Seth with Alex because I knew Alex would never truly love Seth like she does Aiden. I do love Seth with Josie. He deserves someone that loves him for him, and not be second.

What is this book all about:
This book takes place a year after the ending of Sentinel. Seth traded his mortal and after live for Aiden to become immortal and therefor be with Alex. Seth is basically the gods bitch boy, their assassin. Whatever the gods wants him to do, he has to do it. Apollo is sending Seth on a assignments. It's a change from his usual assignments, thiss time Seth has to find a person. He only know's the persons initials and on which university to find said person.
Seth thought it would be an easy task but Apollo is the master of giving as little information as possible and only provide all the information a while after it would have been nice to have said info.

Seth sets of to find this mystery person and finds out it's a girl named Josie. Seth is shocked as he finds her because she reminds him of a certain girl he rather not think about.

Josie seems like a ordinary human at first but as it turns out that is far from the truth. Josie is very important in the upcoming war. You see the Titan Seth and the others set free, that escaped in Sentinal, decided to free his buddies. And now they're planning all kinds of havoc.
Josie didn't have an easy childhood. Her mother got diagnosed with schizophrenia and that hasn't been easy for Josie to live with her. To make matters worse, her mother never really made her feel like she wanted her. After running into a hot guy of collage, her lives changes in ways she never could have imagined. She gets thrown into a world where Greek Mythology isn't mythology at all. The gods are very much real and they need her help.

This book is the start of Seth finding his redemption in Josie. He is desperate to find himself again. All he's been all his life is just the Apollyon and with Josie he feels like he can be more than that.

What did I love about this book:
I loved seeing some of the old gang again, Luke, Deacon, Apollo etc. But what I liked most is getting to know more about Seth. I really felt sorry for him and what his live has been like. He never felt wanted and never had a family that loved him. I can see how that was used against him. He craved a family and when that got dangled in front of him he got blindsided by what was actually going on.

I loved Josie, I loved how she saw him as just Seth. She handled the situation she was in very well.

I do have to say, If you haven't read the Covenant series and you're planning on reading both this series and the Covenant series, read the covenant series first. If you read this series first you'll receive some major spoilers about the covenant series. The Titan series can be read as a complete standalone series.

With any great change, there is always strife, and the Covenant University has become the frontline between pure-bloods who want the Breed Order reinstated and the half-bloods who want the right to control their own destinies.

Fate has other plans.

The violence is escalating and war between the races seems inevitable, and it couldn’t come at a worse time. Hyperion may be out of commission, but Josie and Seth know they have only earned a reprieve.  Seth must get Josie fully prepared, which means controlling her newfound abilities, and they need to find the other demigods before the Titans do.

But the gods are sensing a greater threat.

Only one thing is more dangerous than a bunch of starved Titans, and that’s an out-of-control Apollyon. The aether in Josie is drawing Seth in deeper, and when lust mixes with love and gives way to power, he knows being close to her is not only dangerous to her, but to everyone around them, but letting her go requires a level of selflessness that just isn’t Seth’s style.

The paths taken in the past are becoming the roads of the future.

Just as chaos breaks out, familiar faces from the past return, complicating the already strained bond between Josie and Seth, and when the danger from the Titans erupts with devastating consequences, the dark allure of power calls to Seth again, but this time Josie might not be able to pull him back.

And when the struggle between power and love becomes the deadliest battleground, there may be no salvation.

Review:
This book begins right where the first one ended. Seth and Josie decided to give their relationship a try. Josie is awakened as a demigod and she is training to become stronger and control her powers.

What is this book all about:
In this book we continue Seth and Josies story. Josie is training to become stronger and to control her powers. She and Seth are growing closer together but there is still something that is holding Seth back.
Things are getting more and more tense at the covenant as the pures and the halfs are fighting amongst themselves. Not only that, the Titans are still lurking around waiting to attack.

Seth and Josie are trying to find the other demi-gods so that they can fight the Titans for once and for all. The thing is, they can't do it alone. They need the help of other demi-gods to track and protect the other born demigods. Will Seth be able to deal when he has to look the consequence of his action in the eye? Or will his resentment though wards himself keep him and Josie from being together, from being happy?
The war between the greeks and the titans are far from over. Their will be a price to pay, the question is what is the price and are Seth and Josie willing to pay or will it destroy them forever.

What did I love about this book
I felt so bad for Seth. The way he feels about himself is heart breaking. He acts all confident and cocky but deep down he is a broken man. He deserves to be happy and so does Josie. They are so good together.
I loved seeing Alex and Aiden again. It's great to see them so happy.
The one thing I loved, maybe the most, is when Josie stood up for Seth. It really showed how much she loves him. I can't wait to read the third book! March can't come soon enough.

Review:
This one might be my favorite in the series so far. We really see Seth stepping up but we also see him settle. He becomes calmer, more himself. As if he finally found his place in the world. It's very nice to see.

What is this book about:
This book starts after Seth left in the previous book. Josie was taken by the titans and it probably isn't for a nice chat with a cup of tea. Hell is breaking loose and things are looking like an apocalyps movie. Zombie's aren't just a movie character anymore, no those fuckers decided to become real.

Seth is on his way home, far away from the ones he cares about because he doesn't want to hurt them anymore. When he gets there he finds out more about what he really is, as hard as it is to believe, seth finally embraces his true self.

When he finds out Josie is taken by the titans he's willing to burn this world and the next down in order to find her and keep her from harm.
While Seth is looking for her Josie's stay with the Titans is far from a nice relaxing holiday on the beach. No the titans are cruel and get off from feeding on her and torturing her.

Will Josie be able to hang on long enough for Seth to find her or will Seth loose yet another person he loves.

What did I like/love about this book
I loved seeing Seth more settled. I loved finding out what he is and it makes so much sense to me. He is a great characters and I'm a 100% in love with him now.

I really love Josie, she grew so much. Became such a strong girl.

Can't wait how their story turns out.

History is on repeat…

Seth never thought he’d have a future. But now he’s on the brink of having it all with Josie: A tomorrow. A family. A forever. And all that's standing between him and that forever is the Titans. If he helps Josie entomb them -- without killing them, a nearly impossible task for him -- everything he could ever want will be in reach. But he soon realizes that as a god, every little choice he makes can reshape the world for the better… or worse. And in meddling with the Titans, Seth may have just set into motion catastrophic consequences that will force the Olympians to enter the mortal realm and reshape the delicate balance of power that keeps the world from total collapse.

A price must be paid…

Entombing the Titans is Josie’s top priority. After all, it was what she was born to do. But the plans her father put into play to help her are no longer an option, and the odds she and Seth face in forging their own path are grim. Review:
My poor heart, Jennifer really put it through the wringer. I am so happy with this book, it was amazing. It tore my heart out at certain points that I'm still trying to recover from. I hardly cry while reading a book but this one brought me to tears.
I'm sad that this is the last book but I am happy with this ending.

My review won't contain spoilers from this book but it will have spoilers from the books leading up to this one.

What is this book about:
This book continues Seth and Josie's journey. Seth is coming to terms that he is a god and that he and Josie will become parents. As if that isn't enough there are still Titans running around and they are not playing nice.

The gods are as helpfull as two year old toddlers so its not going very well.

The army of awesome, Deacon, Luke, Alex, Aiden, and Seth and Josie are doing everything they can, rounding up the remaining demi gods, fighting shades, you know the usual.

Everything comes at a price and the price for entombing is very high...will Seth and Josie be willing to pay such a high price? Read and find out.

What did I love about this book:
I just love Seth. I liked him in the Covenant series but didn't love him. He wasn't right for Alex and she wasn't right for him. He was coerced into doing some pretty horrible stuff that he's trying to make up for. In my mind he has totally redeemed himself. He did that at the end of the covenant series and certainly did in this one

I loved seeing him with Josie. They are great together. Josie is such a great girl who had to deal with allot.

I also love seeing Alex, Aiden, Luke and deacon again. I really missed those guys. I will miss the amazing world Jennifer has created.

I miss apollo. The ending hit me harder the second time around than it did the first time for some reason.

Favorite Quote: “Nothing in this world is stronger than love. It should always be enough. No matter what.”

Review:
The first time I read this book I was hesitant because I never read a book about gargoyles before but I didn't have that problem the second time around.
I already loved the world Jennifer build.

What is this book about:
This book is about Jasmin aka Jas and Dez. Jas was always in love with Dez but one day he decided to up and leave without explanation which broke her heart. It couldn't have come at a worse time, just after her father announced he would happily support a mating between the both of them, the next day, poof he was gone. She hasn't heard of him in years.
One day he was back and Jas's father announces that she was to mate him. It came as quite a shock to Dez that Jas has no interest in doing so and she made that quite clear. He expected her to be happy to see him and that she's fall into his arms and they'd ride into the sunset. But yeah that didn't happen.

Now Dex has 7 days to turn it all around and have Jas say yes to mating him. It's won't come easy but he is determent not to make the same mistakes again.

What did I like about this book:
I liked this book as much as I did the first time I read it. I liked Dez's sass and I liked that Jas didn't just fall at his feet.
I like the uniqueness of this series. To date, it's the only book about gargoyles I've read so far.

Now that I know and love Layla and Roth, I don't mind that the prequel is about different characters. I did the first time because I became attached but it's still a good set up and introduction to the Dark Element world.

One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne… it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

Favorite Quote: "I lost myself the moment I found you."
"Your life isn't about what you can't do. It's about what you can do"

Review:
This book is making me fall in love with Roth all over again. I mean I still loved him but I forgot certain things, like the fact that he has a tong piercing. It was a bit frustrating seeing Layla so hesitant since in my mind they have had their happy ending.
It's nice to be back in the dark element world, and experiencing it all over again.

What is this book about:
This book is about 17 year old Layla. She isn't you typical girl. She is what you would call a hybrid, part warden (Gargoyle), part demon. That makes it very difficult for her to fit in anywhere. She was brought up by the Warden but was never fully accepted. You see her ability to take someones soul, and her hybrid status, is what's making people reject her.
Ever since she was a little girl she had a crush on Zayne, a warden who she grew up with. He is one of the only people in that house, in their community that has made the effort to get to know her, to be friends with her. Over the years she developed a crush on him, but it can never work. As the son of the head of the clan, and a male warden, he is to get mated with a female warden and produce children. Keeping the race alive. And he has a soul that is calling out to Layla to take, so she cannot kiss him or be herself a 100%.
Enter hot as sin demon Roth to the mix to turn Layla's world up side down. He is challenging everything she knew about Demons. She thought they where all plain evil, but she isn't so sure anymore.
She didn't expect to like him, nor that he would accept her and encourage her to accept a part she was taught to hate and be scared of.
When more and more demons seem to be coming top side, things are about to change even more.

What do I love about this book:
I loved the setting of this book. I haven't read books about gargoyles before and it works out great.
Obviously I love Roth. He is as charming as he is hot. He is proving that not everything is as black and white as some might think.
I love seeing Layla develop, she was hesitant at first but she was willing to open her mind a little.
Zayne is a nice guy but I don't like him with Layla. She isn't what she needs and vice versa.

Favourite Quote: “I love you Layla. Do you hear me? I've loved you since the first moment I heard your voice and I will continue to love you. No matter what. I love you.”

Review
I was so not looking forward to reading this book. Not because it isn't a good book, because it is! It's a great book. It's because I love Roth and It's sad and frustrating not seeing him and Layla together. The focus was a tad more one Zayne and Layla. I like Zayne, he is a nice guy but I don't like him with Layla. I feel like he only started to pay attention when someone else did. He never fully accepted Layla, no matter how hard he tried or wanted to. And it's dangerous for him since he has a soul.
Anyhow the story was as good as always!

What is this book about:
This book continues where the last one ended. Roth sacrificed himself in order to send Paimon to hell and by doing so, saved Zayne.
Things should be returning to normal, or normal enough with Paimon out of the way. Instead the opposite is happening. Strange things. People are losing it, and some are even dying.
The only thing that is different than normal, something that Layla always wanted,is that Zayne is finally paying attention to her. He is looking at her like he wants her. Now that she finally got what she wanted, is it still what she wanted?

What did I like about it:
I like seeing Layla grow. She is getting stronger and that's good.
I don't like love triangles so this series is hard for me, especially this book. But the story is so good that it makes up for it.
The Roth/Layla moments we got where as good as they where frustrating at times.
I was trying to look past Roth and see Zayne's potential and I can see it, but not for him and Layla.
Abbot and his clan really pissed me off. Zayne kept telling Layla that people wanted her there, that it was her home and that she was part of the clan, and while that is sweet of him, it isnt what was happening. Layla was always an outsider there and she would always be an outsider. Anyhow Abbot needs to get over himself and let go of his prejudice and really open his eyes. His, and the rest of the clans (well most of them) treatment of Layla was crossing the line. And it's even more maddening that some of it could have been avoided.

Some loves will last ’til your dying breath

Every choice has consequences — but seventeen-year-old Layla faces tougher choices than most. Light or darkness. Wickedly sexy demon prince Roth, or Zayne, the gorgeous, protective Warden she never thought could be hers. Hardest of all, Layla has to decide which side of herself to trust.

Layla has a new problem, too. A Lilin — the deadliest of demons — has been unleashed, wreaking havoc on those around her…including her best friend. To keep Sam from a fate much, much worse than death, Layla must strike a deal with the enemy while saving her city — and her race — from destruction.

Torn between two worlds and two different boys, Layla has no certainties, least of all survival, especially when an old bargain comes back to haunt them all. But sometimes, when secrets are everywhere and the truth seems unknowable, you have to listen to your heart, pick a side — and then fight like hell…

Review:
Fair warning this review won't be spoiler free. The beginning should be save to read though.

I was so anxious to read this book. I really had to pase myself. I really wanted to get to certain parts in the book.

What is this book about
This book continues right where Stone Cold Touch ended. Layla, Roth and Zayne figured out who the lilin is. Well they didn't really figured it out, the lilin showed it self. It turned out it is Sam, well more like took Sam's appearance.
You can imagine how much of a shock that was to Layla.

On top of all the Lilin crap, Layla has to make a choice. She either chooses Zayne, the man she loved and adored since childhood or the sexy demon prince Roth, who accepted her for who she is and makes her feel like she shouldn't be ashamed of herself.

We find out very soon who layla chooses, so we get to see their relationship blossom in the book. There's also enough action, like in the previous books.

Every choice has consequences. And for every action there is a reaction. There is a price to pay in order to save the world and take down the Lillin. Nobody thought the price would be that high.

What did I love about this book:
Spoiler Alert:

I loved this book as much as I did the first time. I was so nervous and anxious to get to the part when Roth and Layla would get together.
I felt a bit bad for Zayne, but not really at the same time. I felt bad because he felt so hurt but at the same time I thought he waited to long and I ship Roth and Layla one hundred percent.
Even if she where to choose Zayne, she is immortal and he is not. He still has a soul and she has the ability to take it without meaning to. Although it's probably not that big of an issue anymore with her changing.
I felt so sad when Roth had to give up Bambi. I really like that snake.
I can't believe I forgot about a certain body piercing Roth has! How could I forget that. It sure would be something i'd remember hahah

I really look forward to Zayne's story. I really want to see how different he is with someone else and when not in the shadow of Roth.

Favorite Quote: "Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it."

Review:
Jennifer really is the queen of cliffhangers. I should have known better. She has an amazing talent and that makes her one of my favorite authors ever. I would have given this book 10 starts if I could.

What is this book about:
This story is about Ivy, she is part of an order that fights Fae, creatures from the underworld. Fae's have blue eyes and silvery skin. They have the ability to compulse/ influence and feed off humans, killing them in the process. Ivy is a 21 year old, college student, with blue eyes and red curly hair. Her appearance is often compared to merida from a disney movie. Ivy is a strong and sassy female. She has lost allot and has problems trusting people.
The story starts of very exciting and thrilling and stays that way.
Ivy gets injured on her job, which leads her to meeting Ren. Ren is also part of the order. He is a 24, very fit male, with striking green eyes, tattoo on his arm, chest and back, rides a motorcycle, is sassy, strong, takes the lead, knows what he wants, charming, funny and is a good person.
As if fighting and killing fae isn't dangerous and hard enough, things are getting tougher and worse for Ivy. Can she survive?

Another amazing character in this book, that I just have to talk about, is Tink. Tink is a brownie, a little creature that lives in the underworld. He is such a funny character. I really loved him!!! I kind of imagine him like a combination between a human and a kelpie from harry potter hahah.

I can't say an awful lot about the story without spoiling it. All I can say if you're an jennifer fan, or fan of paranormal, romance, action, new adult story's and want something with more original creatures, and even if you don't, this book is a definite must read.

What did I like/love about this book:
Did I love this book? Hell yes I did, Jennifer never lets me down. I'm very intrigued with her strong characters and the way they learn threw out there life. It's inspiring really. I love the chemistry she creates between the characters, making it hot and steamy but also very light and funny

Review:
OMG! I just love it! The first one was good. I was so surprised it didn't get as much love and attention as it should. Well this one is even better. It is so darn good.

What is this book about
Well this book is about Ivy. Ivy is a member of the order and she fights fae. In the first book we see how she meets Ren and how they fall in love. Ren isn't just any order member he is one of the elite. In the last book we see that the fae prince escapes and nearly kills Ivy. But that isn't all. We also find out that Ivy is a so called halfling. A mixture of fae and human. And that she is the "thing" that ren was ordered to find and kill.
Well this book takes of where the first one end. Ivy is trying to come to terms with what she is. She is scared to death that if she tells Ren he'll leave her and will kill her. Not only that the fae prince wants her. He wants to impregnate her in order to create a baby so he can open to doors of the other world and take over the earth. To make matters worse since the prince tasted her blood he can find her anywhere. There isn't anywhere on the planet that she could run....

What did I like/love about this book:
Well I just love Ren. He is just amazing. But also I really love Ivy. She is a strong, very loyal and funny girl. I just loved seeing how much she was growing in this book.
The one who did the most growing is Tink. I won't say anything els but that. You'll understand after you've read the book.
I really liked the Fae world and how the story changed. I can't wait to read the last book!

Overall I just loved the story line. Seriously I have yet to read a book by jennifer that I didn't like or love. She is just amazing.

Ivy Morgan hasn't been feeling like herself lately. Not like anyone can blame her. After all, being held captive by a psychotic fae prince hell-bent on permanently opening the gates to the Otherworld is bound to leave some mental scars.

It’s more than that, though. Something dark and insidious is spreading throughout Ivy, more powerful than she could ever imagine... and it’s coming between her and the man she’s fallen deeply in love with, elite Order member Ren Owens.

Ren would do anything to keep Ivy safe. Anything. But when he makes a life altering choice for her, the fallout of his act has far reaching consequences that threaten to tear their lives apart.

If Ivy is going to have any hope of surviving this, she must put aside the hurt and betrayal she feels, and work with not only those she loves, but with an enemy she would rather kill than ever trust. War is coming, and it soon becomes clear that what Ivy and Ren thought they knew about the Order, themselves, and even their enemies, has been nothing but a cluster of dangerous, deadly lies.

Ivy knows she must be more than just brave to save those she loves--and, ultimately, to save herself.

Because behind every evil fae Prince, there’s a Queen….

Review:
This is the first book I've managed to read after my brain injury ( I got a blood cloth in my brain) and I just couldn't focus enough to read. But I managed to read this one and I'm so glad I did.
In hindsight it might have been better to reread the first two books before reading this one because I noticed I was a little hazy on the details.

What is this book all about:
This book picks up where the last one ended. Ivy got rescued from the evil prince and is now hiding with people that she never thought would exist, good fae that don't feed on humans.
Ivy has been through some horrible stuff and it's not something one just gets over. She is struggling and the people around here are struggling to help her. But escaping the clutched of the evil prince doesn't mean it's over. He still wants to make an apocalyps baby and Ivy isn't down with that.
The prince is hunting her down, but are things really what they seem? Are the things you were told the actual truth?

What did I like about this book:
I liked how real this book was. Eventhough fae aren't real, ptsd and trauma is and it was portrayed in a very realistic manner in my opinion. In some books we see heroines struggle for a page and then be totally fine with everything and all is good again. It's not that I wanted Ivy to struggle but for the sake of the story i'm glad she did.
I just love Ren, I mean who doesn't melt when a tall, hot, muscled guy with piercing green eyes calls you "sweetness", and don't lie to me, I know you do. I love how he was willing to stay with Ivy to the end, through everything. Yes they faught but he never gave up.
I absolutely adore Tink, he might be one of my favorite characters Jen's ever written. He is so funny and eccentric and full of live. And weird, just love him. It was so funny to see how other fae were reacting to him, especially in his 'adult' form.

Overall I really enjoyed this book. But it doesn't feel like a definite ending to me. I feel like this could be the third book in the series and there could be another one. Not that i'm not pleased with the ending because I am. I just miss a 100% closure.
Also like I hinted at above, be aware of the cliffhangers. There was stuff happening that I did not see coming, ever.

I can't wait for the novella that comes out in 2018 called the prince. You might think 'what the hell, why are you excited to read about that asshole', well read the book and find out why.

Review:
Another great book by Jennifer L. Armentrout! I was super excited to read this one and it definitely didn't disappoint. I was happy to see certain characters again like Tink, Ren and Ivy.
Be aware that this book ends with a cliffhanger.

What is this book about:
This book begins where Brave ended. The Queen is defeated, or you know send back to the hell hole they came from. Time for celebration right? Well think again. The winter fae haven't given up, they are still hunting. Brighton knows that all to well.
The prince hasn't forgotten what he did under the influence of the Queen. He remembers everything he has done. Yet he can't seem to stay away from Brighton. There is something about her that lures him in but he knows nothing can come from it.
When some of the summer fae boys go missing, Brighton and the Prince have to work together to find them. Will they be able to find the missing fae or will they discover more than they bargained for.

What did I like about this book:
I loved being back in the fae work again. Jennifer did a really good job creating that world. I loved seeing old characters again like Tink, Ren and Ivy. Learning more about what they've been up to.
I really liked getting to know other characters as well I didn't think I'd learn to like the Prince as much as I did. And I didn't think I'd like Brighton as much as well. She's a great character, we didn't seem much of her in the other books, atleast not as much as I recall. And it was good, she's a great person, really feisty and strong.
I can't wait to see more about this world and it's characters

Review:
This book was one of my highly anticipated reads and it sure didn't disappoint! I did a reread of the whole series to prepare me for this book.
Warning for those of you waiting to read this book because you don't like cliffhangers, this one has a huge one. There will be a third book called The Queen.

What is this book about:
This book starts of where the last one ended. Caden is no longer the Prince, but he is the King now. He broke it of with Brighton but he can't seem to stay away from her. All Caden wants is for Brighton to back of and stay save. Well Brighton doesn't want to hear any of it though. She want justice to what was done to her. Not even Caden can keep her from getting it.

What did I love about this book
I absolutely loved Brighton in this book. I won't give away any spoiler but man that girl is a bad ass! She is so so strong and I really admired her in this book.
There was a twist in this book that I saw coming and am not a huge fan of that trope. However I am curious to see how it all turns out in the last book.
I can see where Caden is coming from but man the dude was a huge dick sometimes. Like really dude, not cool man. I really hope he is going to do some groveling in the next book.

Overall this book was amazing, it was action packed, hot, and just awesome. I really loved it. Couldn't put it down!

Review:
I was really excited for this book ever since I saw the crazy hot trailer, and since it's a Jennifer L. Armentrout book.

I wasn't sure what genre this book might fall in. The blurb made is sound like it could be paranormal as well and maybe it is to a certain extent. You'll have to read the book to find out.

What is this book about:
This book is about Julia and Lucian. Lucian is from a very wealthy and well known family. They aren't neccecairly known for good reasons but they are known. Julia is desperate to get away from her ex husband and gets a job offer she can't refuse. She is going to work as a private nurse for the de Vincent family. She doesn't know what hit her.

She and Lucian have crazy hot chemistry. Julia is trying not to submit to that chemistry and Lucian's charming ways because he's her boss. But how long can she resist him? Especially when she gets to know him better, know that he's more than this (overly) confident man that has it all. After all not everything is what it seems.... the de vincent curse might very well be real.

What did I like/love about this book
I really liked the banter between Julia and Lucian. Lucian is a very sassy confident person that knows who he is and makes no excuses for it. Julia is strong and respectable and she seems like a nice and fun person to be around.

I really liked the suspense aspect to it. So I'm looking forward to reading about the other brothers because this book didn't reveal much.

Gabriel spent years beating himself up over his last encounter with Nikki. He’d wanted her then, but for reasons that were bad for both of them. Things have now changed. Gabe sees more than a girl he’s known forever; he sees a smart, talented, and heartbreakingly beautiful woman... one who’s being stalked from the shadows. Review
I liked this book. It was a very enjoyable read, one that I couldn't put down. I started reading before planning to go to sleep, I was tired so I didn't think I'd be able to read for long. Well it was 9:30/10 pm when I started and I finished 1:30 am. So no early night for me.
Like the first book this one has sons of suspense and mystery in it. I liked that the book kept you guessing whether or not there was something paranormal going on.

What is this book about:
This book focuses on Gabriel, the middle de Vincent brother and Nikki, the daughter of the de Vincent's house keepers. Nikki grew up with or around the de Vincent brothers. She has a huge crush on Gabe. She would follow him around. Well one night something happened right before she went to collage. Something that really hurt her. After not seeing Gabe for four year, she comes face to face with him again after she returns home to take over her mothers house keeping duties for a while. There is no escaping from Gabe now. As angry as Gabe is with her, he can't stop looking at her. As much as he wants to push her away, he just can't help wanting her closer.

What did I like about this book:
While I really liked this book it's not my favorite series by Jennifer. I love the added suspense, Jennifer writes that so well. I had my suspicious but I wasn't sure.
I liked Nikki, she is a strong girl that has a backbone. She wasn't beyond putting Gabe in his place even though she was the "help".
I liked seeing Lucian and Julia again. It was fun to see Lucian was just as much in love with her as he was in the first book.
It was interesting seeing Devlin some more. The way this book ended makes me very interested into reading his book.

Review:
I'm really impressed with this book. If you'd told me this one, Dev's one ended up being my favorite, I wouldn't have believed you, but here we are. The other books in this series where good, I enjoyed reading them, but this one, is amazing! It's so so good.
I laughed my ass of and what I find even more impressive I did not for the live of me saw those twist coming. Normally I can guess, or have a feeling something is gonna turn out in a certain way, but not this one.

What is this book about:
I can't really tell you how this book begins because it gives away some thing. I can tell you what this book is about. This book is the third in the De Vincent series and focuses on the eldest of the brothers, the devil aka devlin.
Dev's the one that everyone's scared of. The one that never smiles or hardly shows any emotions. That changed when he met Rosie. Rosie surprised him by calling him out on his bullshit, argued with him and didn't seem remotely scared or even impressed by him. Their banter is hilarious.
Rosie is a smart, hard working, ghost hunter. You hear me, she is a ghost hunter. Together with her coworkers/friends they chase ghosts, and help people get rid of haunting in their homes/lives.
They do say the de Vincent house is haunted and its inhabitants cursed. But that isn't the only thing that attracts Rosie to the de Vincents. No, as much as she doesn't want to admit it, she wants more from the de Vincents than a look in their house, she wants Dev, eventhough she absolutely hates him.

What did I like about this book:
I absolutely loved this book. It was so incredibly good. I loved Rosie. She is a strong, steady, and hilarious character. I loved how she never backed down, how she spoke her mind. Her one liners made me laugh and snort so much my family must have thought I was crazy. It's been a while a book made me laugh so much.
I loved Rosie and Dev's banter. I also fell in love with Dev, something that I didn't expect would happen!
Out of the three, this book is definitely my favorite!

Review:
This book is a bit different than Jennifer's other books. Her writing style has changed over the years. I'm not used to her writing in third person. Anyway, it's not that she isn't good at it because she it, but it was different.

What is this book about:
This book is about Madison and Chase. Maddi has always liked Chase but she wasn't sure it was the same for him. Well his actions made that pretty clear, or did they.
Chase has a difficult childhood. His father was a fucked up person and he screwed up his children. Chase was so scared of a normal relationship that he just fucked around. And who wouldn't have him, he's hot, rich and successful. All he needed was the right person to show him that he does indeed deserve love and that the person he loved all along was right in front of him.
So when Madison and Chase get stuck together at her brothers wedding, chase doesn't wast this opportunity to get what he wants. Maddie however disagrees. Will she cave?

What did I like/love about this book:
I liked that this book was about second chances. We all screw up but that doesn't mean that that's it. Everyone deserves a shot at love.
I liked to see how the characters changed in the book. They aren't big changes but they're there.
Overall it was a very enjoyable read.

All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe--please God--make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn't need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she's building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing.

She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that's just so... so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet.

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she's has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

Review:
I just love this series. This book might be one of my all time favorite books. I really enjoyed this story and the characters in it.

What is this story about:
This story is about avery, who goes off the collage. She is a quiet girl, who tends to keep to herself. On her first day of collage, she's running late. Trying to get to class in time she runs into this tall hot guy with very pretty blue eyes. And when I mean run into, I literally mean run into.
During the day they have a few encounters. Avery comes to realize that she and the hot guy, called Camaron aka Cam, live in the same apartment building, on the same floor.
Avery really loved to dance, but because of something that happend to her 5 years ago, just just can't bear to be on a stage anymore. Her parents where really crappy parents during all of this. The way they appear to their country club buddies is more important then their own daughter.
Cam really is interested in the shy gorgeous red head that ran into him in the hallway and is determent to take her out on her date. He didn´t think that pretty and kind of skittish Avery would be so good at saying no to him. This however only intrigues him more.
As cam and avery grow closer, it seems like avery will do anything to protect her secret, even if that means pushing him away. Only Cam isn´t one to give up easily but when will even cam have enough?

What did I love about this story:
I just loved the humor and sas the characters had. Jennifers ability to create amazing characters and ability to keep a story light and funny while also talking about heartbreak and secrets is juts amazing.
I loved cam, he is such an amazing and caring guy. He is really patient and he would do anything for Avery, but he is also very clear on where his boundaries are and really stands by them. I like that about him. That he stands by what he believes in, no matter how much he cares about somebody.
I also loved Avery, she really didn't have it easy. Although I really wanted her to see that she can trust cam and doesn't have to push him away so much. I understand because it's scary to love some one, especially when you've been hurt by someone you thought you could trust.

I really am an inpatient person so I got really frustrated with avery sometimes, I really wanted to slap her in the face and tell her to open her eyes and really look at cam and just go for him since she obviously cares for him.

This story is really about learning to love and trust someone and that it's oke to move on and live you life. Do what makes you happy.

Review
I just love love this book. It still has the same amount of excitement, like the first one. I didn't love it any less and I still felt the same thrill I felt when I read the first one. I still got very impatient and had to constantly try and calm myself down and tell myself that everything will be fine. Cam and Avery's story really captivate me.

What is this story about:
This story is basically Wait for you in cam's point of view. We got some extra scene's, some scene's where skipped but the story was the same.

We really get to know cam more and see how he felt during the entire story.

You could read this book as a stand alone but I'd recommend reading Wait for you too, to hear both sides of the story. I don't know which book I would recommend more.

So for those of you who haven't read Wait for you and want to read this one. Here's is what the story about.

Cam comes from an loving family and has quite a reputation as a lady's man. One day he meets avery morgenstern, who litterlly runs into his live. He just can't forget about her. He didn't expect Avery to be so resillient to his charm and that intrigued him even more. He just can't help but think that Avery has a big secrets, that she does everything for to protect is. He really wants to win Avery's trust but will that be possible? How far is cam willing to go for avery.

Cam really is a funny, trustworthy and caring guy. He can bake, is athletic, smart and owns a pet turtle, he also got rocking abs with baby blue ayes, so what's not to love right?

What did I like/love about this book:
I loved seeing Cam and Avery's story from Cam's pov. I liked seeing what he was thinking, how he was feeling etc. I really love this story and reading if from cam's pov made me love it more.

Review:
This time around the focus lies on Teressa and Jase. Teressa is Cam's little sister and Jase is one of cam's very close friends.

What is this book about:
Teressa always had a big crush on Jase and she's kinda sure that Jase likes her back. But after one amazing kiss he tells her it can never happen again and that he regrets kissing her. That really put a dent in Teressa's confidence.
Teressa always loved to dance and she was planning on going to a major dance academy but an knee injury messes up that plan. Her back up plan was to become a teacher, so she attends the same collage as Cam and Avery go to. This is only a temporary situation for her because once her knee heels and the doctor gives her a thumbs up, she'll go back to dancing and away from Jace.
Jace has some secrets of his own, secrets that makes him feel like Teressa is to good for here. That and she is Cam's sister and cam is very protective of his little sister, especially after all that has happened to her in the past. Will the past keep tearing Teressa and Jace apart or will they be able to break fee from it and really live in the present.

What did I like about this story:
I really like theressa, she is really and admirable and strong girl. She knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go after it. But she can only be hurt one to many times, and Jace, as much as she loves him, keeps on hurting her.
I liked Jace, I really didn't expect the secrets he has. It really came as a surprise to me.

I really enjoyed this book and I loved the chemistry between Jace and theresa. They really are a great couple. But this isn't my favorite book, cam and avery still are my favorite couple.

Instead, six feet of hotness named Jackson James is pouring drinks and keeping the place humming.

Sexy and intense, Jax is in Calla’s business from the moment they meet, giving her a job and helping her search for Mona. And the way he looks at her makes it clear he wants to get horizontal . . . and maybe something more. Before Calla can let him get close, though, she’s got to deal with the pain of the past—and some very bad guys out to mess her up if she doesn’t give them her mom.

Review:
I really really love this book. Calla might be one of my favorite heroines in this series. I just can't remember her well from the previous books but that didn't bother me at all. It's even a good thing because this way I went in with a blank view.
I also really liked a different setting than the college the previous books are in. It really gives you the feeling that the characters are growing and are going through different phases in their lives.

What is this book about:
This book focuses on Calla. Calla is one of Tess aka Teresa's friends but she is really focused on her career and getting her nursing degree. I really like that because I'm a nurse and I can relate with her.
Calla grew up in a really crappy home. Her mother was a drug addict and she had tons of different men over and bad party's. Very soon in the story, Calla finds out that her mom emptied her bank account leaving her with no money. Calla is forced to travel home and find out what is going on only to find her mother being MIA and in debt with a very wrong guy.
Calla decides to stay in her old home over the summer and work in her mothers bar.
She did not know she'd meet sexy, funny and intense guy Jax, who workes at her mothers bar. She also didn't expect him to be interested in her. You see calla really has a low self-esteem, because of the scar she has on her face and because of the burn injuries she got when she was younger.
Jax is an ex marine (I believe, either that or he was a soldier) and he also has his personal demons to battle with but he can't help and be intrigued with Calla.

What did I love about this story:
I really liked Calla, I felt like I could really connect with her and I really cared for her. I also love Jax, he really is a good and strong guy and he is exactly what Calla needs.
This story was very trilling and there was so much suspense in this story that made it hard to put down.
This might be my second favorite book in this story, it might even share the first place with Wait for you and Trust in me, I just can't choose.

I really liked seeing the previous main characters in the other books again, it really keeps the stories alive and give them the chance do develop more.

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

Review:
I just finished this book in one sitting, well not a sitting because I was laying in the bathtub but I couldn't put it away, not even when my mother called me for dinner, I just couldn't stop. I took me nearly 5 hours to finish. So my hands and feet are all wrinkled now.

What is this book about:
This book is about Roxy, Roxy works at Mona's ( Calla's mother old bar, that is now owned by Jax) and she loves painting. Roxy is flirty, sassy, and very funny. Some of the words she used where just hilarious. She is also taking online classes to become a graphic designer. She wears the most hilarious t-shirts, one of my favorites was "I'm a special snowflake". I really laughed out loud when I read it and then I was like I really need this shirt.
Around five or six years ago Roxy's best friend Charlie got a victim of a crime which caused major brain damage. Roxy is visiting him every week on Friday but her friend just isn't there anymore. That and the guilt she is harboring from the incident is making Roxy very scared to lose someone and that makes her scared to fall for someone, especially Reece because she know he can take her heart and keep it. And let's face it his job isn't the safest job there is.
Reece, what to tell you about Reece. Reece is a former marine that is now a police officer. He and Roxy where kind of childhood friend and Roxy has been in love with him for a long time. Even tho she doesn't admit it. Eleven months ago she kind of hocked up with Reece and they have not really spoken ever since. She didn't expect Reece to step up and tell her he misses her and wants to move on. You see, Reece doesn't remember a thing about that night eleven months ago, only waking up and Roxie being there and regretting not remember being with her. Which Roxy mistook for Reece regretting being with her. Any how they start to work on there relationship but it isn't as easy. Strange things are happening in town, there is some serial rapist/ women attacker on the loose. Roxy is starting to notice strange things happening in her apartment. Things movie, dishwasher being turned on, thinking she is seeing someone outside ect. Working through both their pasts and dealing with threat's in the present doesn't withhold Reece from being with Roxy.
Through out the book you get to see Cam and Avery, Tess and Jace, Olly and Brit and of course Calla and Jax.

What did I love about this book:
I loved Reece, he was so protecting and patient with Roxie. He also was very very sexy and very intense, like panty melting intense. Reece was very very ripped, amazing abs, blue eyes ( can't remember his hair color though) and he was tall. As hot and sexy he is, his caring nature is the best thing he has.
I loved Roxy, she was very strong, witty, very funny and I would love the have her as a friend. I also loved seeing the old gang through out the books. Roxy has brown harir with a different color streak in it, I believe she also has blue or grey kind of eyes and she is very beautiful. But I think her personality is the most beautiful thing about her.
I liked that this book, just liked the previous book, contained more thrill, while keeping the original feelings this series has.
I really liked Katie the stripper/ psychic . She is a very nice side character and she is very funny. Not sure If we can expect a book about her but I'd read it.
I can't wait to read more about Nick and Stephanie. I think I'm going to like nick allot.
There were some new side characters, like a gay couple Jacob and Marcus. I especially liked Jacob, any guy who introduces himself like this "Hi i'm jacob. I go to collage at Shepard, I'm a Gemini. I'm allergic to game of thrones because I can't keep track of who dies on the show. If you talk shit about doctor who, we cannot be friends, and I still want a goddamn pony and no one will let me buy one."  wins a point in my book.

Review:
How much do I love Jen's book you ask? Well, I'll answer that question for you, like so danm much. Each one is so amazing and even though this is the fifth book in the series. She still made it feel like something new. I didn't know how she would write this story. It could be just like the others but she really put a twist to it. I haven't read a book like this before. And while writing the book from a different angle she still kept the other characters in it, and gave it the same feel the entire series has.

What is this book about:
Well this book focuses on Steph (Stephanie). We met Steph for the first time in Wait for you. She is the girl that has a friends with benefit relationship with Cam. We also see her in Be with me when she helped Theresa after she found her roommate dead. But after that not so much.
So steph moves across the country so that she can work for a martial arts company. We know that Steph is far from being insecure about her sexual preferences. Some may call her a whore or a slut but I don't feel like that. She is just a down to earth girl that likes sex and there is nothing wrong with that.
While moving into her new apartment she meets Nick. He helped her move a box after almost dropping it when trying to carry to much. At a bar ( the same bar that Jax owns in stay with me ;) ) she sees nick again and the have a one night stand.
After a view days after the one night stand, Steph goes back to mona's ( the bar ) and meets Roxy. After Nick sees her he kind of troughs a fit. He is telling her that she can't be here, that they had an agreement. That he thought it would be a one time thing etc. Of course Steph doesn't like this and tears him a new one. After that they kind of become friends of sorts. Only they will find out that there a small complication of sorts that will tie their futures together in a way they might not be ready for.

What did I love about this book:
I like Steph. I like how comfortable and confident she is in her own skin. I like her take on life and the way she lives. She is a strong girl.
I like nick but he can be a bit of an asshole. At least that what it seems in the beginning. Through out the story we learn that he is a sweet, caring and amazing guy. Who will do anything for the ones he loves.
I liked seeing the other characters throughout this book. I like seeing Jax and calla a bit in this book. Also liked seeing Avery and the crew a view times. I loved seeing Roxie more and ofcourse Katie. Katie is the extravagant stripper, who is just hilarious. I liked how Roxie and Katie welcomed Steph into town. And how their friendship developed. I also really loved how Nick's character changed throughout this book. He is such an amazing guy.

Review:
I really enjoyed this book. I just have yet to find a story created by Jennifer that I have yet to like.
Although this book isn't my favorite, I still liked it.

What is this story all about:
This story is about childhood friends Sydney and Kyler who are in love with each other but they don't know that about each other.
Sydney has had a crush on Kyler for as long as she can remember but Kyler always seemed interested in every female but her. He even stood her up on their prom to bump ugly's with another girls.
Kyler always cared allot for Sidney, they grew up together after all but he doesn't think he's good enough for her, that she is too good for him.
When Kyler and Sydney get stranded in a ski resort, with nothing to take their minds of things beside each other, it gets hard to not give in to temptation.
Will they give into their attraction towards each other and admit their feelings or will the intimacy they found go away once the snow stops falling.

On top of all that it seems like there are some people in the ski resorts that don't want them to be there and things are getting dangerous. Will those people and Kylers past get in the way of a relationship or will love find a way?

What did I love about this story:
I really liked the banter and chemistry Kyler and Sydney have. Sydney really is a sweet girl and I liked her. She got hurt bad in past relationship and is very hesitant to start a new one, and I relate to that. It's hard to open yourself up to somebody.

Kylar seems lost to me, I don't know why and I don't know how to explain it, it's just a feeling I got. I can't really remember why he feels like Sydney is too good for him. He can be really blind sometimes. For example, when they where younger they used to hang out allot and have weekly movie nights and stuff like that but suddenly he started blowing Syd off to hook up with random girls. At a dance he promised Sydney he'd dance with her and she waited for him but he never showed. After he got his head out of his own ass, Syney was already in a relationship with another.

The timing was never really right for Syney and Kylar. I really enjoyed reading their story.

Review:
I have yet to read a book from Jennifer that I didn’t like. I have said it many times and I will say it again this woman is a book writing genius

What is this book about:
This book is about Andrea (Andy) and Tanner. In this book you’ll also find the characters from Frigid, Kyler and Sydney. Andrea is a trust fund baby, but that doesn’t mean she acts like a spoiled brat. She volunteers at a suicide hotline and at the mental ward in a hospital. Both her parents are successful plastic surgeons and her brother is also studying to become a surgeon. Andrea was studying to become a surgeon but changed her major to teaching. Andrea likes to party and drink, and boy can she drink allot.
Tanner is working at the fire station and he’s going to the police academy soon. He always wanted to help people and be a better man and cop than his father. Ever since he met Andrea he was interested. Who couldn’t be interested in a curvy read head with the pretty hazel eyes.
Andrea and Tanner are good at one thing, bickering and fighting. Their banter can go on for a long time, sometimes crossing the line of insulting each other.
It still bugs Andrea that Tanner doesn’t remember her from the two classes they shared in there freshmen year, and that he slept with her roommate. She had a serious crush on the guy. She loved his cropped on the sides- short on the top, hair, his stormy blue eyes and his rock hard abs. I mean what is not to like, and on top of that he is a funny, charming and good guy.

What did I like about this book:
This book covers mental illness very well ( I won’t spoil who has a problem and what it is) I could really relate to that since I have been struggling with some personal problems as well. This book showed me that It’s okey to be “messed up in the head” and that that doesn’t mean that nobody will love you. People will help you, want to help you if you let them. That it doesn’t mean you’re unworthy or that nobody will fall for you. Again you just have to let them. This book also showed me that you don’t have to have a size 2 to be attractive.
I really loved Tanner. He is a very sweet, charming, sexy, caring and funny guy. He really cares for Andrea and he really is what she needs.

...and high school senior Ember McWilliams knows firsthand.

After a fatal car accident, her gifted little sister brought her back. Now anything Ember touches dies. And that, well, really blows.

Ember operates on a no-touch policy with all living things--including boys. When Hayden Cromwell shows up, quoting Oscar Wilde and claiming her curse is a gift, she thinks he's a crazed cutie. But when he tells her he can help control it, she's more than interested. There's just one catch: Ember has to trust Hayden's adopted father, a man she's sure has sinister reasons for collecting children whose abilities even weird her out. However, she's willing to do anything to hold her sister's hand again. And hell, she'd also like to be able to kiss Hayden. Who wouldn't?

But when Ember learns the accident that turned her into a freak may not've been an accident at all, she's not sure who to trust. Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life.

For real this time.

Review:
I wasn't really sure whether I would like this book. I'm not that into YA anymore. But being the big JLA fan that I am I just had to read it and I'm glad I did.

What is this book about:
This book is about Ember. Ember isn't your typical highschool girl. She is covered in scars and well technically she should be dead. She was in a car accident that should have killed her but somehow her little sister brought her back. Sadly it killed her father. After Embers accident she found out she had a rather odd gift, every living thing she touches with her bare hands..dies. Not very practical.

After her fathers accident, her mother totally checked out. She went in a catatonic state and never came back out, so it's up to Amber to take care of her sister.

One day Amber and her sister get taken. A man that kind of manages a house for kids with abilities took her so they can help her. There she meets Hayden.
Hayden is a guy she would totally go for, he's kind, caring and very hot. And for some reason Amber can touch him for a small amount of time. What can possibly go wrong......

What did I like/love about this book:
I liked that this book really kept the mystery going. I don't remember thinking that the story was predictable in any way. It kept you on your toes.
It was thrilling and very sweet. I enjoyed watching Amber and Hayden grow closer together.
Overall I really enjoyed this story and I would definitely read it again.

Review:
If you're doubting if you want to read this book ask yourself this: "do you like pretty little liars?" "Do you like crime shows like NCIS and Criminal Minds", "Do you like books with romance and steamy scenes" and most importantly "do you like Jla?". If you're answer is yes, go read this book! If it's no, go read it anyway.

What is this book about:
This book is about samantha, or sam as she's often called. Samantha wakes up with amnesia. She remembers nothing. She finds out that she and her best friend disappeared and that only she resurfaced. No one knows what happened that night.
As sam's trying to pick up her old life she is finding out that she doesn't really like the person she was. To be fair she was quite a bitch. Especially to the guy that was always there for her, a guys she always kind of liked, Carson.
As sam is trying to find out what happened that night but is also trying to make the most at doing better, becoming a better person. Changing who she was is bringing her closer to Carson.
Will Samantha find out what happened and will she get her happy ever after or will finding out what happened destroy her. Are you sometimes better of not knowing what happened?

What did I like/love about this book:
I liked the mystery of this book. I liked that I didn't guess what happened and who was the killer. I mean I guessed, quite allot actually, but I was never a 100% sure.
I liked how Sam made the best of the situation and tried to become a better person.
I also liked Carson, he was very sweet. He and Sam made a cute couple.

Review:
I really liked this book. It was a sweet story. I expected, in a way wanted a bit more darkness in it. A more explicite darkness but besides that I really liked it. Now I don't mean that there wasn't any darkness in this book, what happened to these characters is bad enough as it is, I'm just used to more explicit scenes.

What is this book about:
This book is about Mallory, also known as Mouse and Rider. Both of them grew up together, not in a friends or siblings, but as two children that where put in the same abusive foster home. They both lived in fear of beatings and grew up hungry. Rider has always tried to protect Malory as much as he could.
One day Mallory was adopted in a save new home while Rider disappeared without a trace.
In her new home Mallory healed as much as she could from her past, enough that she want to finish her high school education in an acutal high school instead of being home schooled.
On her first day she finds someone again, someone she never expected to see again, Rider.

What did I like/love about this book:
I liked Mallory. I loved seeing her heal, her character development was amazing. She got so much better, she got to be her self, she got to heal.
I loved her relationship with Rider. They are great together. They know eachother and are willing to do anything for each other.
I loved Ryder, he's a genuine good guy that will do anything for the people that he loves. He is fiercely loyal.
It's been a while since I've read a YA book that I've liked as much as I did this one. It helped that the characters weren't immature. They are good people.
There was enough highschool drama in the form of Ryders on/off girlfriend who ofcourse is the popular girl, and couldn't handle not being wanted by Ryder.
Don't worry, there is no love triangle here. Ryder is quite honest with this girl and she knows how much Mallory means to him. There is also no cheating whatsoever, or Ryder dating two girls at the same time.

Favorite Quote:“I'm of the mind anything worth a damn in life, anything fun and joyous, will always be complicated. If it's easy, it's probably not exactly worth it.”

Review:
This book was really something different. It's not something we see Jen write about often but she absolutely nailed it! It was so amazing!

What is this book about:
This book is about Sasha and Cole. Sasha didn't have it easy. She was kidnapped by a serial killer, held hostage and tormented. She managed to escape but she hasn't been the same since. She left her home town but now she's back.

She's surprised that the man she once loved, cole, never really left town. Cole is a cop, and ladies, who doesn't like a man in uniform. He's hot, sexy, a alpha male and charming. He is willing to fight for a second chance with Sasha. But the question is, is Sasha willing to try, especially when the past came back to haunt her?

Sasha believed she would be save back home but ever since she got back strange things have been happening, and they get stranger each time.

Cole is determent to keep Sasha save this time, he won't let her slip away again. But will who ever is tormenting Sasha let him have her? After all she is the sole survivor, unfinished business so to say.

What did I like/love about this book:
I liked the suspense and thrill of this book. It was like watching a very hot episode of criminal minds.
I never once figured out for sure who the killer was. I mean I guessed but I wasn't a 100% sure.
I really loved Cole. He was such a hot alpha male. He was very caring and very kind. He really made Sasha feel safe and I liked that.
Overall I really enjoyed this book! I hope that Jen will write more suspense novels. I really liked them.

Favorite Quote:“You’re the first girl I’ve ever fallen in love with, Ella, and you’ll be the last girl I ever love”

Review:
I really liked this book. We've learned in other books, like in Till Death that Jennifer can write mystery's/horrors. I was happy to read another one of her trillers. I was a tad hesitant to read it because it's a YA book but I didn't need to be.

What is this book about:
This book is about Ella and Jensen. When they were younger they were part of the same friend group. One night something tragic happened which caused the group to grow appart.
Ella and Jensen tried dating but it didn't work out for them, and they also grew apart. One night something happend, Ella was attacked and she was saved by non other than Jensen.
After that the threads don't stop, weird things keep happening. Will they figure out what is going on and who is doing it before things escalate?

What did I like/love about this book:
I really liked the thrilling/mystery aspect of this book. I liked that it wasn't to obvious who was behind the events happening. I had some suspicions but I never expected that second plot twist to happen.
I really liked that Ella and Jensen had a history together and that they tried again. I really liked seeing them reconnecting and trying to work it out.
Overall I really enjoyed reading this book!

Favorite Quote:“I see you as Lily. I see you for who you are, even though you don't.”

Review:
I have read this book many times and I loved it every time I read it. Obviously I'm not as shocked anymore when I find out who is betraying everyone but that doesn't make the story and less good.

What is this story about:
This story is set in the world of the nephilim. The nephilim are the children of (fallen) angels and humans. The nephilim are responsible to fight the fallen angels, minions (nephilim turned dark because of the fallen persuasion) and dead heads (humans who's bodies are possessed by another soul that isn't willing to move on)

The main character in this story is Lilly, she is on of the few female nephilim and a very strong hunter. She has long auburn hair, creamy skin and stunning green eyes.

The main male character is named Julian. Julian is a fallen angel so you can imagine him being perfect looking. He is over six and half feet tall while Lilly is only five foot four...in heels. He has sandy blond hair that comes to his shoulders, striking blue hair and sizzling features and ofcourse a rock hard body.

Then there is Luke, Luke is Lilly's best friend and they've known each other for a long time. Besides Luke there is Nathaniel, he's the head of the organization named the sanctuary that Lilly's working for.

Another important character in this book is Michael. Michael is a police officer that stumbles into the nephilim world by accident. He doesn't realize that it was his world all along.

Other than fighting the minions, dead heads, and fallen, Lilly is also fighting her attraction too Julian. Her wanting him is very against the rules. She's suppose to kill him not kiss him. But Julian is impossible to ignore, very fast and very strong. He also saved her live eight times and possibly many more times that Lilly doesn't know about. As if that isn't enough, there is also a mole in the sanctuary and Lilly is desperate to find out who it is, especially when she becomes the main suspect.

What did I like/love about this book:
I loved the trill and suspense in this book. I also really liked the setting, I've always liked mythology. I loved the characters. Loved how strong and passionate lilly is and I obviously loved the sexy and strong Jullian. I loved that this book shows you that there's always a choice and that you shouldn't judge a person on their race or job. There is always more to a person than you might suspect.

I could tell that this is one of the first books that Jennifer has ever written because her writing style has changed over the worlds. The way she builds a world, creates characters an her talent to tell an amazing story has only grown over the years but this book shows that the women always had skill.

Note: there is no love triangle or cheating in this book.
