Review:

I liked this book, the cliffhanger not so much. I freaked out a bit. Luckely I had the next book right at home so I could continue reading.
I feel like the story really kicks off in this book. Things are coming together and are moving along. This serie sure gets better with each book.

Review:

I think this one might be my favorite in the series so far. That being said Mor was still frustrating and stubborn at times.
I loved that we finally got some Mac & Barrons action. I really hope there will be some sort of a development in their relationship in the next book. Talk about a slow burn.

I'm so proud of Seth! He has come such a long way and it was so awesome to see his journey. This book was so so good! A great ending to an awesome story. I'ts gonna be hard saying goodbye to there characters for good. I see allot of rereads in my future.
Jennifer really destroyed my heart in this book!  Luckily she also managed to put it back together. I was not read for those scenes.

Date read: 16-02-2018 - 18-02-2018

Quote: “You’re my responsibility now. Mine to care for, to cherish, to protect.”

Review:

I liked this book. I liked it better than I thought I would. It's something I haven't read before. It was very interesting.
I must say I liked the concept and the setting more than I did the actual characters. I didn't like the relationship development. It didn't have a nice flow to it.
I also wasn't a big fan of the characters.  Baird was a bit demanding but to me it seemed like he was trying to do his best to adapt. He was trying to go against everything he thought and knew. I liked that about him.  I didn't see why he liked Olivia as much as he did.
I wasn't a big fan of Olivia. I liked that she didn't crumble and stood her ground but she was also stubborn to a fault. Did thinks without thinking them through, and those actions had consequences. She wasn't that consistent in her behavior and thought. I felt like she switched from hating and wanting to resist Baird with all her might to loving him and can't live without him a bit to fast for my liking.
Overall I ended up liking them just not loving them. I did enjoy reading this book. I might actually read more to see more of the setting.

Review:
I liked this book. It was a fun read.  I did find the family's humor and nicknames a bit to much sometimes. Like they were trying a bit to hard.
I really liked H. He was trying his best and he had his heart in the right place. He's a sweet guy and he strikes me as a loyal caring person.
Communication was key in this book. It would have prevented allot. But then again, whats a romance book without a bit of drama.

I liked this book. It's a fun an easy read.
It was a bit predictable though but it didn't bother me to much. It didn't took away from the story.
Louise wrote interesting and fun characters. She has a nice writing style and made sure that the story had a nice flow to it.

I found this book good. It was a great read. It was very interesting and thrilling. It made me very excited to read about the other characters in this book.
The characters were nicely developed. They had were set up good and the story flowed well.
The relationship part did went a bit to fast in my opinion. They were in love and couldn't be without each other a bit to fast.
Overall I really liked it. Great read.

I was really surprised by this book. I've read from this author before but didn't like it much so I didn't have high expectations of this one. Well I was prove wrong! I loved this book, it was so so good.
It was well written and very interesting. It showed a different side of human trafficking, that it can involved men as well. It was very horrific what happend to H. Whats sad to realize is that it happens to allot of people.  It's a very real topic and thing for many people in real live.
I loved how the characters developed. How they worked stuff out together, grew together.  Very well done.

Review:
I liked this book. Mostly I just liked Bones. He is the best character in this book for me and really carries the story. He is hot, mysterious and sassy.
Cat was strong and a bit to cocky for someone that got her ass handed to her as often as she did. She was also quite immature but it went with her age I guess. I do look forward to reading more about her and Bones.
Overall it was a good read. Very interesting. Couldn't put it down. Be aware of the cliffhanger though.

I liked this book a bit better than the first. Bones was still awesome and really loyal. He is such a strong and confidant character. I really like him.
Besides knowing Cat was older, I could tell as well. She carried herself a bit different. She still was a bit over confidant. She was a bit more mature though. I'm glad. She still annoyed me a bit though. Some things could have been easily avoided if she got her ass out of her head and thought things through for once. Communicating is something she has to work on.
Her mom, dear god, why is that woman still breathing. She is so annoying and such a racist. I really don't like her.

Review:

After the cliffhanger from the last book I was rushing to start this book. It surly didn't disappoint. I loved it.
We got a few more pov's in this book. Normally I'm not a big fan of multiple pov's but in this case it was done well and provided more insight in the situation.
I liked how everything got together.  I loved that the main characters finally got to be together. It took them a while. I was glad to see how that progressed.
I think this book would have made an interesting movie that I would surly watch.
Wendy did a great job writing her first NA novel. I'm hoping she'll write more of it. She has a nice writing style and is a very nice and sweet person.

“It takes a great deal of bravery to stand up to our enemies, but just as much to stand up to our friends.”
Review:
This is the first audio book I've ever listened to. I tried before but just couldn't do it, either the voice wasn't right or their reading style didn't suit me. But in this case I loved it. It helped that I've read this book so many times so I knew what was happening, so if I missed a part I still knew what was going on.
Listening to the audio made me remember details from the book that I've forgotten. It made me experience the book in a way I haven't before.
I like Stephen Fry's reading style and his voice suits the book.

Harry Potter is just one of those story's that I'll love forever. I don't think I'll ever get bored of.

Review:

I liked this book. It's not my favorite by Jennifer but it was still very good. I'm happy that we got a more adult book from her.
I really liked the suspense part of this book. It was fun trying to figure out if the characters were actually haunted or if something else was going on. I had my suspicions but I wasn't a 100% on it. I love that. That it wasn't so predictable that you just know from page one.
I also liked the chemistry between the characters. Lucian has great sass and banter. It was hilarious. I like him.
I liked that Olivia was so dedicated to her job as a nurse. As a nurse I can respect that. I think she's a good level headed girl. I do wish we got more detail from her past. Some snippets as to why she divorced her ex husband. I expected more since it was hinted at that he wouldn't leave her alone but we never really saw that in the book.
Over all I really enjoyed reading this book and I'm very grateful that I got an arc for this book. I am looking forward to reading more about Lucian's brothers. We never really get to know them and I want to find out more about that family.

I was blown away by this book. I was intrigued by it. I didn't expect it to be this good, to be so deep basically. This book is very emotional. It shows how people can react to severe trauma. It shows how hard it is to spot mental illness in certain people.
I really didn't see that ending coming, that just blew my mind. Totally unexpected. It really put the entire book in a whole new perspective.

This book is amazing! I think this might turn into my favorite book of the year. It was oh so good. Ren became my favorite book boy friend written by pepper winters.
What I also liked, no loved about this book is that it wasn't something I've read before. It felt like something unique. A very different take on a coming of age story. And with a hint of something taboo.
I loved that it was mostly from Ren's pov. I don't read many books that are mainly from a males pov. Pepper wrote it so wel.

I didn't like Soraya that much. She's quite the bitch sometimes and not in a fun strong way. Sometimes I liked her bitchyness and sometimes I didn't.
I really liked Graham. He was very honest and didn't lie or how anything, that I noticed allot. It shows how much assumptions can ruin things. That communication is key in a relationship.

The world was build very well and It was interesting. I really liked how there are two worlds, well three when you add earth, the overworld which has demons which has tons of light, and the underwold which also has demons and is more dark than anything.

I was very interested into learning more about our two main characters, Lyre, and underworld incubus, and clio, and overworld royalty nymph.
Those two are very interesting.  This book is a great read with great characters and a very interesting world.

I was not looking forward to reading this book at all. This might even be an understatement. Just don't like Chaol. I never was a big fan of him and he didn't make him self more likable. Don't worry I won't go into a rant about Chaol.
I do have to admit that Chaol got a tiny bit better in this book but I still am not a big fan. There where moments where I though, he I might start to like you and then he opened his mouth and said or did something which made me think, welp no.
The side characters in this book where the hero's of this book. They made it manageable. They made it enjoyable.

I liked this book. I was very interested in Ash's story. I like him in The Shadow Weavers series and really wanted to know how his story would develop.
I was really happy to see Lyre again although I found it difficult to see him with other women and flirting with Piper but I know it's something he has to do. So I got over that ahah.
I'm not a massive fan of Piper. I mean I liked her but I didn't love her. She's a bit immature, naive and over confident. A bit of a know it all but is still stuck under her fathers thumb. I don't like that man. When he ask Piper to jump, she might give him attitude and refuses but in the end she always asks how high.

Lyre and Ash are still my favorite characters in this book. Piper is showing improvement haha. She is still struggling with accepting her new world and views but she's getting there. Review:

I really liked the development these characters went through. They came a long way from the first book. I didn't see much change in Lyre though because I always found him awesome and he remained that way.
I really liked how well Piper and Ash developed in their relationship and I really hope they'll remain together they are perfect for each other.
Like with the spell weaver series I understand the ending but it also made me feel like it was unfinished (and it is in away) it's just a different ending than regular romance ending. If that makes sense haha.
I did like what Ash said about their relationships, that they get to decides what works and that they'll do what makes them happy. I am anxious to see what happens in the future with Ash being the last Taroth and all and the line mustn't die out.
Overall I really loved this series. It's very well written and very interesting. I look forward to reading more about Ash,Lyre and his girl, piper, Misys and the others.

I've known about this series for a while. I have read a book by K. Bromberg a while back and while I did like it, it wasn't amazing. With this book being about racing I was very hesitant to read it. My bestie did a good job selling this book to me because I end up reading this book and I really liked it!
It was so much better than I thought it would be.

I just love this book! It was so soul wrenchingly good. This book, this series, manages to wreck you heart, shatter it to pieces and put it back together again, and if that isn't bad enough it does that to you over and over again and you accept it.

"For Della and Jacob"

"Some say our romance is over. That his death ruins our story. And I'd agree, but only because romance can be killed, but love..it can't. It lived on, and I'm patient enough to wait for our happily ever after."

"When you love that deeply, nothing can ever die."

"Love transcends time, space, distance, universes. Love can't be confined to pages or photos or memories- it's forever alive and wild and free. Romance comes and goes, lust flickers and smoulders, trials appear and test, life gets in the way and educates, pain can derail happiness, joy can delete sadness, togetherness is more than just a fairy-tale...it's a choice.
A choice to love and cherish and honour and trust and adore.
A choice to choose love, all while knowing it has the power to break you.
A choice dear friends, to give someone you entire heart.
But in the end, love is what life is about. And love is the purpose of everything."

Review:
I will say it one more time, just incase you didn't guess it yet but this review will be full of spoilers. I can't talk about this book without spoiling. So be warned.

This book is so heartbreakingly good. It broke my heart. I hardly cry over book, but this book made me bawl. I spoiled the ending for myself and even the author warns us that this book will be about live, about how live can be full of hardship, sadness and despair. Even though I knew, saw it coming and was warned on top of that, it still broke my heart. I bawled my eyes out. I can't write my review without my eyes tearing up. I couldn't write my favorite quotes without my heart wrenching in sadness and a desire to cry some more.
Ren deserved more, he deserved so much more than live offered him. He deserved a miracle and so did Della. But sadly that isn't live, not often anyways.
This book hurt, reading it hurt, it hit me hard. But it is worth is. His story, their story is worth it. It is a story that you just can't tell and not read. It's an amazing story. It is a story about love, about how love is worth anything. That love is what this live is about, no matter how hard. Live isn't fair, life is painful but it is also good, and amazing and so worth it if you can find that love that transcends time. A love that will go on forever and that's the kind of love we see in this book. A love that will never stop.
This book will stay with me for a long time, I doubt I'll ever forget it. It's a story that maybe in time I will be able to reread but I doubt it will ever be without tears.

“I want to be the friend you fall hopelessly in love with. The one you take into your arms and into your bed and into the private world you keep trapped in your head. I want to be that kind of friend. The one who will memorize the things you say as well as the shape of your lips when you say them. I want to know every curve, every freckle, every shiver of your body.

I want to know where to touch you, I want to know how to touch you. I want to know convince you to design a smile just for me. Yes, I do want to be your friend. I want to be your best friend in the entire world.”

“Loneliness is a strange sort of thing.
It creeps on you, quiet and still, sits by your side in the dark, strokes by your hair as you sleep. It wraps itself around your bones, squeezing so tight you almost can't breathe. It leaves lies in your heart, lies next to you at night, leaches the light out of every corner. It's a constant companion, clasping your hand only to yank you down when you're struggling to stand up.
You wake up in the morning and wonder who you are. You fail to fall asleep at night and tremble in your skin. You doubt you doubt you doubt.
do I
don't I
should I
why won't I
And even when you're ready to let go. When you're ready to break free. When you're ready to be brand-new. Loneliness is an old friend stand beside you in the mirror, looking you in the eye, challenging you to live your life without it. You can't find the words to fight yourself, to fight the words screaming that you're not enough never enough never ever enough.
Loneliness is a bitter, wretched companion.
Sometimes it just won't let go.”

Review:
I really wanted to like this book because they synopsis and the first few chapters sounded really interesting. I however didn't like it. I found the timeline confusing sometimes. I'm not sure it it was intentional or not but it would have helped if the authors put a headliner or something in the beginning of the chapter, to give the reader an idea at what period in time were talking. For example we started with a (what I'm guessing) present day chapter. Then we head back in time, which is oke. Then for a few chapters its bounces back and forth between certain times, then out of the blue we continue where the present day (1 chapter) started. It took me a second to realize what was going on.
I also felt like the setting wasn't that clear, as if the authors wasn't sure herself. I thought we were talking about a dystopian kind of land. Everything went to shit anyway. But then the characters were driving through, what seemed, like a normal suburban area ( without children ofcourse) and then stopped at a waffle house (or other kind of restaurant) bought some food (with money I have no clue how they got because they've been stealing food before). So did everything go to shit or not? There is no money so how can there be a waffle house/restaurant. It's one of the things that stood out to me.

Another thing that bugged me is that the parents never, ever questioned what happend to their children. No one followed up or tried to visit that we know of. They send their kids of and called it good. I know some parents are scared of their kids, or hated them, but that can't be that case of all of the parents can it. You never heard about them again.

It could have been just me, but the writing style didn't suit me much.

Sometimes book can suffer from the "second book syndrome" in a series. Meaning they sometimes aren't as good as the first one. This was definitely not the case. The characters were still as good as they where in the first book, they got even better. The mystery was still there and it was as unpredictable as it was in the first book.
One thing that did start to bother me a tiny bit is the amount of times Audry Rose would say they where being unchaperoned and how bad that was for their image and such, for her to be alone with Thomas. At some point I felt my self thing "Yes I know, you're being scandalous, I got it".

This is a very emotional, real, raw, stunning read. It really puts certain things into perspective.

For the people wondering if they should read this book after seeing the movie, my answer would be yes. The movie stayed very close to the book. The book just had more detail and more a few more events that weren't in the movie. If you loved the movie and would like to see a bit more about the characters then I suggest you read this book.

Favorite Quote: “When he watched her sleeping, he often thought, My heart lies vulnerable outside my chest.”

Review:

Again I'm on the fence with this book. I was hoping that it would be better than the first one and I'm not a 100% convinced that it is. The book started off really interesting. But soon something happend that I'm not sure how to feel about. Lachlain finally escapes from the people that tortured him for decades and finds his bride, the one made for him Emma. He hunts her down, takes her to her apartment, strips her and shows with her against her will. That didn't sit well with me. There where other moments as well where it felt more like force and kidnap to me. I got where he was coming from later on in the book but I don't know it didn't start of well.
I felt like they moved their relationship a bit fast. And it almost felt a bit like Stockholm syndrome but not really. I don't know, I can't put my finger on it.
If I didn't read the first book first then I would be lost with the world building and Emma's family .The thing is apparently that book wasn't published until later so you should be able to read this book and understand the world and characters in it and I missed that. Maybe that part of the reason I can't connect with the characters.
I did like certain parts though. The characters and world was intriguing enough for me to keep going.

It has been a while when I first read this book. I think it was back in 2014 when I met this author at a signing. Anyhow I recalled loving this series and when I found out that two more books (well one book and one novella) where added to this series I thought it was time for a reread.

This book reminded me why I liked this series in the first place. There was so much more dept to the story. We really see the characters grow and develop.
The sex was still there, and still very dirty, but it wasn't about that anymore, there was more going on outside of those scenes.

I was excited to read this book. The blurb sounded interesting but sadly it didn't deliver for me. The flow of the book was off. I didn't really like the writing style. This book went in a totally different direction than I expected it to be.
Some things happened that made me question whether or not that was actually legal. I'm guessing the author did her research so it must be but it sounded questionable.
I didn't really get the chance to connect with the characters. This book sadly didn't do it for me.

I want the second book now! I have to know what's going to happen next. I got the feeling that some of the teasers that where shared where for another book in this series....

The blurb really interested me and so did the first few chapters but it became scattered after that. The flow of the book was off. It felt like the main character was all over the place, her thoughts and actions where all over the place. It was sometimes hard to follow.
There was something missing and that's a shame because it could have been a great book in my opinion. A book that I would definitely loved.
Now don't get me wrong, the book wasn't all bad. There are plenty of things that I liked. The thrill aspect of it. The twist and turns this book had where also good. I liked Carter and overall I liked Emma. I think of this book as a rough diamond that just needed to be polished.

I really like this book. It's not what I normally read but It's really good. The blurb is what got me, it sounded really interesting.
I enjoyed reading this book and it make me think about a few things that happens so much in real life and that's prejudice. I was getting a bit annoyed with Juliet for being a bit mean to Declan and having a opinion ready already without knowing him, just because of rumors and half truths. And then I though, people do this all the time. The reason I'm not liking it now is because we see things from Declan's pov so we know him. Juliet doesn't. So that shows how important it is to keep an open mind. And to try and refrain from judgement until you actually know a person.

But I'm glad I finally got to read it because it was really good! She really stepped up from A Court of Wings and Ruin (which I still liked). I loved how it all came together.

So I went into reading this book knowing what happens but decided to keep an open mind. Well lets say Jessica had a great time watching me read this book. Review:
I liked this book, it was a funny read. I read this because of the preview at the back of Hotshot Doc and I wanted to give it a go.

I liked the banter between Daisey and Lucas. I did feel from the beginning that Daisey took it more serious than Lucas did and I was right. Lucas's pov broke my heart!
Daisey was a bit immature sometimes but it's her personality.
I enjoyed reading this book, read it in one sitting. Even though it was a bit predictable I still enjoyed it. It gave me a good laugh and the sexy scenes where hot!

Review:
I want to start my review by saying thank you for granting me this arc. It was really unexpected and I know my friend hated me just a little when I told her I got it.
I'm not sure what to say about this book. Overall it fell a bit flat? I expected more, especially when the story was build up to be so epic, don't get me wrong I still liked it, but I don't know, I expected more I guess. I felt like the focus was more on the upcoming battle beep has to fight and her story. This book was really setting up for a possible spin off.
Overall it has a good and an ending that fitted reyes and charley.

Title: The Player (The Player #1)

Date Read: 17-12-2018 - 18-12-2018

Favorite Quote: “The happily ever after depends on what you put into it. The hard work, the listening instead of talking, the laughing instead of crying, the sticking it out instead of running away, the knowing that sometimes silence is best but having her wrapped in your arms can still solve a lot of problems. So, you can have your romance novels while I have my King and Follett and Patterson because I don’t want to read about having that kind of love someday. I’d rather be over here trying to take a chance at it in real life.”

Review:
This book was a present from my mom and I'm so happy she gave it to me. Yes I admit it was the cover that drew me to the book, I mean come on. Next it was a K. Bromberg book, can't go wrong there. And the story sounded interesting although I know absolutely nothing about baseball.

Review:
After the cliffhanger from the last book, I had to rush to my bookcase to read this one. I just had to know what was going to happen, and what the hell was going on!
Poor Easton kept getting hit after hit after hit. I'm amazed with how he handled it! Same for Scout she really did her best and came a long way.
I loved this book so much, I loved how it al turned out.
Some things where a bit predictable, things I guessed but that didn't take away from the story at all.

Review
It's been such a long time since I read this series but it stayed with me non the less. I still remember the main plot.
I loved diving back into this world. Reading things that I didn't remember.

I love Greek mythology so I found that aspect really interesting.
I still love Alex, she is such a funny bad ass character. Its fun to relive her journey again.
I also like Aiden. He and alex are great together. The stupid breeding rules are still pissing me off. It's just wrong.

Review:
I liked this little preview. However I'm glad that I read it after Half-blood. That way I was already familiar with the story and the characters. You can easily start with this one, it's a good way to start the series. I'm normally just not that into prequel novella's.

Review:
I find it amazing that after all these years, I still love this series so much. That even though I know what happens I still get nervous. I still get the feelings I did when I first read this book.
This book definitely doesn't suffer from second book syndrome. It's so good.
My heart goes out for Alex, shit just keep getting dumped on her plate. I like Seth but not with Alex, they are to alike for it to work and ofcourse there's Aiden.

Review
Well shit just got real! Allot happens in this book. Things that cannot be reversed, no matter how much we might want them to. Actions have consequences.
I loved the thrill and excitement of this book. I just didn't want to put it down, had to rediscover what happened next. The story, the world, the characters have really sucked me in.
I can tell from a mile a way that Seth's being manipulated, that he is being used, and that he is lying to Alex. I could tell that the first time I read this book as well. It's sad to see because I know what a good guy Seth can be. He didn't have it easy and I feel for him.
I do love the development with Alex and Aiden. I'm glad that Aidens resolve finally broke so to say ahahaha. They deserve to be happy.
And that ending, my god, it still hurts. I'm anxious to read on even though I know full well what's going to happen next.

Review:
This book! That ending! It's intense. I love that this book sucked me in just like the first time I read this book.
I sped read through the entire thing, read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down.
I loved seeing more of Alex and Aiden together. They are so darn perfect for eachother. Aiden grounds Alex, he loves her and puts her first.
I love all the other characters as well.
And as much of an ass Seth is, I see how he was being manipulated. He still pissed me off big time though.

Favorite Quote: “He was my strength when I needed him to be, my friend when I needed someone to talk me down, my equal in a world where by law I would always be less than him, and honest to gods, he was the love of my life.”

Review:
This book, especially that ending, well the chapters before the ending, break my heart. This book is full of action, it's really good.
I feel like a broken cd for saying this but I loved the moments Alex and Aiden have. I love that they are more open about their relationship. They work really well as a couple.
I feel for Seth. He dis some pretty despicable things but I see that he was manipulated and that the addiction to aether got to him. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be held responsible but he took some pretty big steps to earn forgiveness for what he has done. In the end he realized that what he was going was wrong, and thats a great first step. He and Alex would never have worked but that doesn't mean he is a bad guy.
I loved the action and intensity of this book. I love that it still makes me feel the same things it did the first time I read it.
Great ending for a great series! Alex remains one of my favorite heroines.

Review:

I loved that this book was told in Aidens pov. It was nice to see what he was thinking, how he was feeling etc. I loved seeing more sides of Aiden. He is always so calm and collected and to see him get upset, how hard it was to see, was good.
He loves Alex so much that he is willing to do something that could possible make her hate him, just to save her.
It was odd seeing alex so subdued and naive and calm. But despite the Elixir she still knew that she loves Aiden, that says enough.
I wish we got more from Aidens pov though.
