Wicked by Jennifer Armentrout

Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.

Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.

But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

REVIEW

Jennifer really is the queen of cliffhangers. I should have known better haahha. Also she has an amazing talent and that makes her one of my favorite authors ever. I would have given this book 10 starts if I could.

So what is this story about.

This story is about Ivy, she is part of an order that fights Fae, creatures from the underworld. Fae's have blue eyes and silvery skin. They have the ability to compulse/ influence and feed off humans, killing them in the process. Ivy is a 21 year old, college student, with blue eyes and red curly hair. Her appearance is often compared to merida from a disney movie. Ivy is a strong and sassy female. She has lost allot and has problems trusting people.
The story starts of very exciting and thrilling and stays that way.
Ivy gets injured on her job, which leads her to meeting Ren. Ren is also part of the order. He is a 24, very fit male, with striking green eyes, tattoo on his arm, chest and back, rides a motorcycle, is sassy, strong, takes the lead, knows what he wants, charming, funny and is a good person.
As if fighting and killing fae isn't dangerous and hard enough, things are getting tougher and worse for Ivy, ren and the rest of the order but threw that Ivy needs to learn how to trust and love again.

And other amazing character in this book, that I just have to talk about, is Tink. Think is a brownie, a little creature that lives in the underworld. He is such a funny character. I really loved him!!! I kind of imagine him like a combination between a human and a kelpie from harry potter hahah.

I can't say an awful lot about the story without spoiling it. All I can say if you're an jennifer fan, or fan of paranormal, romance, action, new adult story's and want something with more original creatures, and even if you don't, this book is a definite must read.

Did I love this book

Hell yes I did, jennifer never lets me down. I'm very intrigued with her strong characters and the way they learn threw out there life. It's inspiring really. I love the chemistry she creates between the characters, making it hot and steamy but also very light and funny.

So I have found some pictures, trying to show how I visualize Ren and Ivy

Stone cold touch by jennifer armentrout

Every touch has its price

Layla Shaw is trying to pick up the pieces of her shattered life—no easy task for a seventeen-year-old who’s pretty sure things can’t get worse. Her impossibly gorgeous best friend, Zayne, is forever off-limits thanks to the mysterious powers of her soul-stealing kiss. The Warden clan that has always protected her is suddenly keeping dangerous secrets. And she can barely think about Roth, the wickedly hot demon prince who understood her in ways no one else could.

But sometimes rock bottom is only the beginning. Because suddenly Layla’s powers begin to evolve, and she’s offered a tantalizing taste of what has always been forbidden. Then, when she least expects it, Roth returns, bringing news that could change her world forever. She’s finally getting what she always wanted, but with hell literally breaking loose and the body count adding up, the price may be higher than Layla is willing to pay…

REVIEW

I was so impatient for this book. And i'm really scared for the last one because weither roth ends up with layla is in our hands and after reading Stone could touch i'm afraid of the Zanye lovers or people switching teams. Not that it happened with me. I'm team roth all the way.

So if those pictures won't convince you to stay/become team roth I'm hoping my review will.

What is this story all about
Well the story starts immediately where the first one ended. Layla misses roth allot. Zanye is there for her the whole time. This book is more about Layla and Zanye relationship. You see the two of them growing together and things get a little hot sometimes, I have to admit. I did like those scenes but I still feel like roth is better for her than zanye is.
So thank god roth is back and he has another job that he has to do. This also involves layla ( not spoiling what it is.) The thing I will tell you is that the prevention of the birth of the lilin might not be that well prevented.

What did I love about this book

Well here are some roth quotes. (I'm not trying to spoil anything but these quotes might contain spoilers so don't say I didn't warn you)

"“Nah, I think I’m sexy.” The smirk spread, but it didn’t reach his cool ocher eyes. “And I also think I’m hilarious.” Dez and the rest of the Wardens tensed. I guessed they thought Roth should be intimated by so many of them, but Roth...well, the more sticky the situation, the more of a smart- ass he became "

“Are you...seriously growling at me, Stony?”

The tip of his tongue moved over his upper teeth, showing off the ball holding the bolt piercing in place. Supposedly it wasn't his only piercing—I stopped that thought. I so did not need to think about that

Roth dropped his arm over my shoulders and hauled me up against his side. I stiffened as he slid his hand up my back, balling his fist in my hair. “We were looking for a private place...you know, so we could be alone.” He dipped his head to mine, sending raven-colored locks across his forehead. “Then we saw all of this and kind of got distracted by the weirdness. Isn't that right, baby?”"

Oke enough teasers, or I'll end up quoting the whole book and i'm not gonna spoil the best part. I think it's quite obvious what I loved about it.

Obsession by Jennifer Armentrout

He’s arrogant, domineering, and... To. Die. For.

Hunter is a ruthless killer. And the Department of Defense has him firmly in their grasp, which usually doesn’t chafe too badly because he gets to kill bad guys. Most of the time he enjoys his job. That is, until he’s saddled with something he’s never had to do before: protect a human from his mortal enemy.

Serena Cross didn’t believe her best friend when she claimed to have seen the son of a powerful senator turn into something... unnatural. Who would? But then she witnesses her friend’s murder at the hands of what can only be an alien, thrusting her into a world that will kill to protect their secret.

Hunter stirs Serena’s temper and her lust despite their differences. Soon he’s doing the unthinkable—breaking the rules he’s lived by, going against the government to keep Serena safe. But are the aliens and the government the biggest threats to Serena’s life… or is it Hunter?

REVIEW

So this is a spin off book from the lux series. You don't have to read the lux series but I do recommend it.

What is the story about.

The story starts with Serena's friend freaking out about something. Talking about some weird glow in the dark persons that supposedly are the senators son's.  So what could go wrong right. Well serena is finding out that allot can go wrong when the senator wants you dead. The senator thinks serena's friend told her something, something very important. But serena doesn't know, what she supposedly knows.
Hunter isn't a guy who you should take home to your momma, he is a cold hard handsome pale eyed, dark haired, hot son of a bitch, oh yeah he is also an alien. There are two kind of aliens on earth. The luxen, who are light and there are the arum, who are darkness, shadow. Hunter is one of those arum. And he is assigned to  protect Serena from harm . He didn't think Serena would be so gorgeous, spunky and kind of a fighter. He also didn't think aurum could develop any kind of feelings other than lust and hunger. And there is chemistry and lots of lust in their story.

What did I love about this book
I really really really loved this book. Hunter, omg that man is so freaking hot. And the intensity between him and serena, hot danm.
I also liked to read about the aurum more. It made me think about good and bad, because no race is either good or bad. That's also the case with the arum and the luxen. Both race's have good and bad people.
I really liked serena, she really handled herself well.
God I loved Hunter he was so snappy and sarcastic and just hilarious. I really love him, and he was hot.
OMG those scenes with serina, I feel my head getting red already thinking about it.

Darkness duet series by Melissa Andrea

I loved to dance, but I don’t anymore.
I was in an accident I don’t remember… or maybe I don’t want to remember.
Either way, every day since, has been… an adjustment and I’m left with a constant reminder that nothing is forever.

Now, my life is a tangled web of darkness filled with deceit, hate, betrayal and lies. I don’t dwell on the past, I don’t regret and I don’t remember… I survive. But then I met Ryland Dare and he changed everything. He reminded me that life’s worth living and that remembering isn’t always a bad thing.

You don’t know true darkness until you've felt light…
On the outside looking in, some would say my siblings and I have had a pretty easy life. But beyond the fancy cars, the huge house and endless social events, is where the truth really lies. Power hungry father, defeated mother and fake friends? Yeah I have one of each. Then Araya Noelle comes along and shows me what I’ve been missing. She thinks I changed her life, but really, she saved mine.

REVIEW
I accidentally read this series in the wrong order. Stupid me. But in my defense I had no internet so I couldn't look it up. I figured it out in the thank you note at the end of the second book haha.

Well what is this strory about.
The story is about a girl named araya noelle. After a horrible car accident she lost not only her mother but her sight as well. Araya lives with her aunt and her aunts husband. They are terrible awful angry bitter people. Despite everything araya went threw she is determent to survive and see the best in others.
Araya loved to dance but hasn't since her accident.

The other main character in this book is ryland. Ryland, and his older brother sebastian and his younger sister Cara or as she wished to be called careless, didn't hit the parents jackpot. There father is the owner of a multi million dollar company and he brings a whole new meaning to the word asshole. He is a mean slimy controlling son of satan
His mother is a naive money digging bitch.

Ryland and Araya met in the park after one of rylands friends accidentally threw a football in her lap. Ryland asked araya out but she stood him up. Ryland didn't notice araya was blind because she kept her sunglasses up at all times.
The second time they met, it is at rylands house. Careless is araya's new tutor. Despite careless warnings to stay away from araya, Ryland couldn't help himself. He was drawn to this innocent, beautiful, lean red haired girl With beautiful pale green eyes. Ryland promises that he isn't going to fall in love with araya but that promise isn't so easy to keep. Rylands father, JD is determent to make sure that araya and ryland aren't together and that he can keep ryland firmly in his pathetic claws.

What did I love
I love the message on the front of the book: there is light even in the darkest places.
I love that this story is about love can concur al. And that love can happen for everyone
I love how strong araya is. She is an inspiring person as well as ryland. Instead of shying away from her he is pushing her forward and he helped her to truely life again. There both helping each other out.
Eventho I have read the books in the wrong order. I still enjoyed it very much

Every part of me yearns for Ryland and there hasn’t been a day that’s gone by that I don’t question if I made the right decision. Adjusting is something I should be used to by now but how can I do that when life has other plans?

When darkness consumes you, only true light can free you

Remembering how I existed before Araya came into my life and turned everything upside down has been the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. I can’t stand to be round anyone and the feeling is mutual. But I’m ready to take back what’s mine. I’m ready to be whole again. But every decision has a choice and every choice has a consequence.

To find the grace in darkness, you must
Dare to be BRAVE
Dare to be STRONG
Dare to be ALIVE

REVIEW

So as Blond as I am, I read this book first. Surprisingly it was amazingly easy to follow. I did think it was an odd beginning and it was weird that the characters weren't introduced but it did work. I figured out that this was the second book after reading the thank you note from the author at the end of the book. Silly me.

So what is this story about.
This story takes of after the ending of The edge of darkness. Araya left and is learning how to work with her blindness in a new school which name I forgot. Ryland is stuck in his fathers sticky claws but he is still thinking of Araya every day.
It doesn't take long for Araya and Ryland to see each other again. Araya doesn't know that Ryland already found her. They immediately connect again and that makes it even harder for Ryland to stay away. He is done being his fathers puppet and he works hard to get out from under his thumb.
Araya is working very hard at her school and is doing very well. She even started dancing again and she's really good at it. But still the way she got into this school is nagging her.

Will Araya and Ryland manage to make it work and get away from rylands father or is it a lost cause.

What did I love about this story.
I love that it's so cleverly put together. I loved that the main characters weren't your typical alpha male and pretty but strong yet needs saving female.
Araya is a very strong resilient women and I admire her.

I loved sebastian ( Rylands older brother.) He is just an amazing guy. Very funny, I would love to see him get his own book

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

When Tate Collins meets airline pilot Miles Archer, she knows it isn’t love at first sight. They wouldn’t even go so far as to consider themselves friends. The only thing Tate and Miles have in common is an undeniable mutual attraction. Once their desires are out in the open, they realize they have the perfect set-up. He doesn’t want love, she doesn’t have time for love, so that just leaves the sex. Their arrangement could be surprisingly seamless, as long as Tate can stick to the only two rules Miles has for her.

Never ask about the past.
Don’t expect a future.

They think they can handle it, but realize almost immediately they can’t handle it at all.

Hearts get infiltrated.
Promises get broken.
Rules get shattered.
Love gets ugly.

REVIEW
I just finished reading my first book by colleen hoover. What he hell to me so long!! I loved it. Miles is just sigh.

So what is this story about.
The story begins with 23 year old Tate moving in her brothers Corbin's apartment. She meets Cap, who works there as an elevator help, not sure what to call his job. Cap is really funny and hilarious. Anyway, when Tate gets to her new apartment, there's a drunk passed out guy in front of the door. After finding out it's her brothers friend Miles that lives across the hall, the drag's him inside. Miles is a very private, and if I say private, I do mean private. Tate really wants him and Miles want her as well, and that's the thing. He only wants her physically. The start there'relationship'with two rules, set by miles, 1 Don't ask about my past, 2 Don't expect a future.....

What did I love about it.
I love, love miles, I mean he is very honest, and he is a good person. And ofcourse he is very very sexy. Tate describes him as a tall guy with a scar on his cheek, with rocking ab's and the V. He has very light blue eyes and hair that is neither blond or brown and doesn't know if is't curly or straight. His hair is a bit longer on the top and short on the sides. He is an airline pilot.

Tate is a strong girl, who works very hard. She is studying for her master in nursing and works as a registered nurse in an ER. I really liked that because I'm a nurse as well. That is very comfortable in her own skin.

I liked that tate wasn't a virgin, it different from most of the NA that I have read, so I liked that as well.

The story is written in dual point of view but different. Tate is narrating the present events, while Miles chapters are about his past. I liked that because we get to know a little bit about Miles.

I can't wait to see Nick Bateman portraying Miles in the movie. I hope he can present the intensity that miles has, other than that he seems perfect :D

My Jennifer Armentrout signed book Collection

Some things are worth waiting for…

Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago—an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe—please God—make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn’t need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she’s building for herself.

Some things are worth experiencing…

Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that’s just so… so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.

Some things should never be kept quiet…

But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she’s has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?

And some things are worth fighting for…

Teresa Hamilton is having a rough year—she’s in love with her big brother’s best friend, but he hasn’t spoken to her since they shared a truly amazing, mind-blowing, change-your-life kiss. She got out of a terrible relationship. And now an injury is threatening to end her dance career for good. It’s time for Plan B – college. And maybe a chance to convince Jase that what they have together is real.

Jase Winstead has a huge secret that he’s not telling anyone. Especially not his best friend’s incredibly beautiful sister. Even though he and Teresa shared the hottest kiss of his life, he knows that his responsibilities must take priority. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But it doesn’t help that all he can think about kissing the one girl who could ruin everything for him.
As they’re thrown together more and more, Jase and Tess can’t keep denying their feelings for each other. But a familiar danger looms and tragedy strikes. As the campus recovers, the star-crossed couple must decide what they’re willing to risk to be together, and what they’re willing to lose if they’re not…

One kiss could be the last.

Seventeen-year-old Layla just wants to be normal. But with a kiss that kills anything with a soul, she's anything but normal. Half demon, half gargoyle, Layla has abilities no one else possesses.

Raised among the Wardens—a race of gargoyles tasked with hunting demons and keeping humanity safe—Layla tries to fit in, but that means hiding her own dark side from those she loves the most. Especially Zayne, the swoon-worthy, incredibly gorgeous and completely off-limits Warden she's crushed on since forever.

Then she meets Roth—a tattooed, sinfully hot demon who claims to know all her secrets. Layla knows she should stay away, but she's not sure she wants to—especially when that whole no-kissing thing isn't an issue, considering Roth has no soul.

But when Layla discovers she's the reason for the violent demon uprising, trusting Roth could not only ruin her chances with Zayne… it could brand her a traitor to her family. Worse yet, it could become a one-way ticket to the end of the world.

Eleven months ago, bartender and weird-shirt-wearing extraordinaire Roxy and Officer Reece Anders had a one night stand. Well, kind of. She’s been in love with him since she was fifteen, and he wishes that night they shared never happened. She’s sworn him off forever, but the past and future collide, forcing her to rely on the one man who broke her heart not once, but twice.

Her best friend since birth has been in a long-term care facility since he became a victim of a hate crime years ago, and the person who put him in there is out of prison and wanting to make amends with him and Roxy. She’s not sure she has room for forgiveness in her and when she begins to receive frightening messages and is on the receiving end of escalating violence, she thinks she knows who is to blame. The man who already destroyed one life already.

But Reece isn’t convinced. The threats are too personal, and even if Roxy doesn’t believe him, he’s not willing to let anyone hurt her. Including himself. He’s already messed up more than once when it comes to Roxy and he’s not going to let history repeat itself.

The Fates are cackling their bony asses off…

It’s been a year since Seth made the deal with the gods that pledged his life to them. And so far, the jobs they’ve given him have been violent and bloody–which is kind of all right with him. But now Apollo has something else in mind for Seth. He’s got to play protector while keeping his hands and fingers off, and for someone who really has a problem with restraint, this new assignment might be the most challenging yet.

Josie has no idea what this crazy hot guy’s deal might be, but it’s a good bet that his arrival means the new life she started after leaving home is about to be thrown into an Olympian-sized blender turned up to puree. Either Josie is going insane or a nightmare straight out of ancient myth is gunning for her.

But it might be the unlikely attraction simmering between her and the golden-eyed, secret-keeping Seth that may prove to be the most dangerous thing of all.

Because history has once again been flipped to repeat
