Review "Sweet Rome by Tillie Cole"

You met Romeo Prince in the Amazon & USA Today bestselling novel, Sweet Home. Now hear the story from his lips: unbarred, uncensored, and raw to the bone.

It makes me laugh when I hear folks think Molly and I rushed into things too fast, spouting that we couldn't possibly have felt what we did for each other in such a short space of time. I say, how the hell would they know? We made it, didn't we? She became my whole life, didn't she? And as for my folks not being real, being true? Tell that to me aged ten, eleven, twelve—damn, all my bastard life—when I was never enough, when I was beaten until I bled for being too good at football and not being everything they'd dreamed: the perfectly dutiful son. Tell that to thousands of kids around the world getting wailed on by asshole parents for whatever stupid reason; tell them evil don't exist in their eyes.

Fuck Romeo and Juliet. This is the story of me and my girl, from my lips. No mushy sentiment, no cheese, just the plain, hard truth, and, because I'm feeling generous, I'm going to let you in on more of our story too.

Review
It has been a very long time since I've read the first book sweet home, but that doesn't matter. It's basically the same story but from Rome's point of view. I still think the names are very very cheese but it fitter the characters.  Just to be clear the males name was Romeo Prince and the female's name is Molly Juliet Shakespeare. So yeah it's a modern aged Romeo and Juliet story.

What is this story about
This story is told in Rome's point of view. Rome is the Quarterback for the Tide in collage. Rome has a very crappy childhood and isn't treated well by his family. That causes him to be a moody  son of a bitch. Not only is he stuck with his crappy parents but they're also forcing him to get engaged to Shelly. Shelly is a shallow, vindictive, cruel bitch.
One day Rome meets the new British student  Molly. Molly is a shy, very smart, pretty girl with brown hair and brown/golden eyes. The only down thing about her is that she wears horrible croqs.  Those things should be burned.  Molly didn't have an easy childhood , causing her to be very careful with people. She doesn't let people in.
This is they're story. A story of two people finding each other and going against terrible odds to stay together.  A story about change and becoming better people. That despite having a bad childhood, and/or horrible parents, that doesn't mean it has to dominate your future.

What did I love about this story.
I love love Rome. He really didn't have easy but darn does that boy loves Molly with something fierce. He stood by her trough everything.  I love his journey of becoming independent, and breaking free of his parents.
I did love his dominant side, especially during the sex. That was very very hot. I liked how Molly was with him and I loved how Rome was with her.  What I didn't like was how Molly could just disappear and not contact Rome for such a  long time after what happens. I know she had a tendency of running away but she didn't go through that alone and to do that to Rome was just horrible.  And the fact that he just took her back, just like that  without talking about it. No he just saw her and thought how could she do that to me... but that doesn't matter she back.  And that's that. Of course I wanted them to be together again but I didn't expect Rome to be that easy on her. Well that does show how much he loves her.

Review "Wet by Stacy Kestwick"

Doughnuts were her weakness.
If Sadie Mullins hadn’t been running on the beach to burn off the calories from her doughnut addiction, she wouldn’t have noticed the man not moving out in the water.
Wouldn’t have dived in after him.
Wouldn’t have met West Montgomery.
The cocky bastard should have been thankful, grateful even.
Of course, he wasn’t.
That should have been the end of it.
Of course, it wasn’t.
Damn doughnuts.

Review

I heard of this book through the Rocking Rachel Readers facebook fan page. The author took over the page and promoted the book. Allot of people where saying allot of good things about this book so I've decided to give it a go.

What is this book about
This book is about Sadie. Sadie thought she had it all, a great and loving boyfriend, and her own photography company. But nothing is what it seems, especially her "perfect" boyfriend. As a result sadie moved across the country to get away from it all.
One day she meets sexy beach boy West. She doesn't want to get involved with him but she just can't resist the charming and stubborn guy. The more Sadie and West grow closer, the more she finds out about him. It turns out that Sadie isn't the only one interested in West. His old fling and the girl his parents wanted him to marry is still hot on his tail and doesn't want to give up. West keeps saying that he doesn't want anything to do with anybody but Sadie. Although sadie wants to believe him, she finds it very hard to. Especially when West actions doesn't seem to match up to his words.

What did I thing about this book.
I liked it but it was a bit of the same thing over again throughout the story. I liked the main characters and I became infested in their story. So when the book ended with that darn cliffhanger, of course I want more!
Overall I enjoyed this book.  Also this book is a debut novel by the author so I'm really impressed with her work and I can't wait till I can read more

Review "Every Last Breath by Jennifer L. Armentrout"

Some loves will last ’til your dying breath

Every choice has consequences—but seventeen-year-old Layla faces tougher choices than most. Light or darkness. Wickedly sexy demon prince Roth, or Zayne, the gorgeous, protective Warden she never thought could be hers. Hardest of all, Layla has to decide which side of herself to trust.

Layla has a new problem, too. A Lilin—the deadliest of demons—has been unleashed, wreaking havoc on those around her…including her best friend. To keep Sam from a fate much, much worse than death, Layla must strike a deal with the enemy while saving her city—and her race—from destruction.

Torn between two worlds and two different boys, Layla has no certainties, least of all survival, especially when an old bargain comes back to haunt them all. But sometimes, when secrets are everywhere and the truth seems unknowable, you have to listen to your heart, pick a side—and then fight like hell…

Review
I just loved this book. I was waiting so long to find out who Layla choose. And I must say I'm really really excited about the story. Since I'm not sure I can guarantee a spoiler free review, don't read this if you really don't want to know.  The first part of my review will be spoiler free, the second part, not so much. So be warned.

What is this book about
This book continues right where stone cold touch ended. Layla, Roth and Zayne figured out who the lilin is. Well they didn't really figured it out, the lilin showed it self. It turned out it is Sam. Well it looks like sam. So you can imagine what a shock this is for Layla.
On top of all the Lilin crap, layla has to make a choice. She either chooses Zayne, the man she loved and adored since her childhood or the sexy demon prince Roth, who accepted her for who she is and makes her feel like she shouldn't be ashamed of herself.
We find out very soon who layla chooses, so we get to see their relationship blossom in the book. There's also enough action, like in the previous books.

I  hope this captured the essence of the story without spoiling to much. In the next part I will spoil the crap out of it so stop reading if you don't want to know.

What did I love about this book
I'm just so happy with lyla's choice. I'm team roth since the beginning so I'm very happy that she chooses him. I think, like layla said, that she could have been with Zayne, that they'd make it work but that it wouldn't last long. I felt like Zayne started to express his love for her after another guy got in the picture and showed interest. I felt like he was a little to late and I feel like he never really accepted her. I know he tried and he thought he accepted her but his clan, family, his very own being just never really did not for a 100%. I mean his clan thought her to be ashamed of herself, that she wasn't good enough. Zayne was there for her yes but it's just wouldn't have worked in my opinion.  And Roth, he just accepted her for who she is right away, he made her feel like she was worthy and that there was nothing wrong with her. He thought her that not everything is black and white and that there is more than what meets the eyes. He also trusted her and was always honest with her. And Roth gave up, and continues to sacrifice, everything for Layle. Not that Zayne wouldn't have done that for her but Roth actually did it in my opinion.  He is just perfect. Don't get me wrong Zanye is a great guy but just not THE guy for Layla.

I loved that we got to experience Layla and Roth's relationship. Roth kept surprising me. He was so sweet and undemon like. I also liked how Layla grew in this book. It truly felt like she accepted herself and got stronger.  She really grew. I liked her in the first book, thought she was oke in the second (still liked her) but loved her in the last one.

Quotes from the book \

"You talk a lot" Roth growled, stepping forward. "And I men a lot. Why is it that the bad guys always have to give disgustingly long and boring monologues? Let;s just get to the killing part, all right? " Roth

"You..... you have a.... a pocket-size dragon?" - Layla

"Honey-child, a blind person could see there's major tension. What's the scoop?" - Cayman

Stop being a coward and let go of the past. Embrace the future, because they are two very different things.

"  While I'm glad you guys have decided to become the twosome of the year. I really don't want to see you sucking face" - Cayman

"I want that night with you, but I don't need it. What I need is this- these seconds and minutes with you. That's what I'll always need" - Layla to Roth

"You make me wish I had a soul so that I could be worthy of you " - Roth

"Everyone can say whatever they'd like to say, but that does not mean they are correct, and the truth is sometimes lost in translation when facts are not understood" Grim

" I was willing to watch the world burn if that meant being there with you to watch it" - Roth

" With every breath I take, I will always love you" - Roth

Review "Final Call by Emma Hart"

In the highly anticipated sequel to LATE CALL, Dayton and Aaron learn once more than not everything is as straightforward as it seems, and if they have any chance of getting their long-awaited happily-ever-after, they'll have to work for it...

We crashed and burned like a falling plane. Hard and fast with an inevitable explosion. Another few weeks together changed my life the way the first did. At twenty-four, I became naïve again. I became a dreamer again. A believer. And walking away hurts just as much as it did seven years ago.

But over doesn’t have to mean over-at least in Aaron Stone’s mind. His pursuit is relentless, his determination unwavering. He’ll go to any lengths to keep me and prove that I belong to him. Unfortunately, love isn’t easy, and whether or not I forgive him is irrelevant to his past catching up with us. Once again, our relationship is haunted by a secret, one that could destroy everything, and the secret is born from the need to protect the other…

But the tables have turned, because the secret is mine.

Final Call is the second and final book in the Call series and is the conclusion to Aaron and Dayton's story. It's is not a standalone and Late Call must be read first.

Review
I really liked this book. It was a very nice story to read. It held romance, very steamy moments, strong minded people, arguments, love, anticipation, forgiveness and thrill.

So what is this book about.
This book starts of where Late Call ended. Dayton left Aaron because he didn’t tell her about his wife Naomi. Naomi is a crazy bitch that only cares about money and status, she is a model and she and Aaron only got married because it was expected of them.  They’re separated for over 2.5 years but Naomi has yet to sign the divorce papers because she felt like she didn’t get enough money. When Dayton left Aaron, Aaron sped up all his business  plans, flew back home and forced Naomi to sign the divorce papers. After she signed them, he signed the contract ( making him boos of the company) and fired her bitchy ass. Then he did everything in his power to get Dayton back. And damn he is one sneaky powerful bastard. And luckily Dayton isn’t one of those girls that just lets him do that. No she can fight with a fury. She just doesn’t tolerate his obsessive behavior and gives him hell for that. But she can’t resist the man she loves forever so most of the times she gives in. Because in the end all she wants is to be with the man she loves.
Only Naomi is still lurking around and she doesn’t plan to back down without a fight. And the girl doesn’t mind playing dirty, very dirty.

What did I like about this book

I liked Aaron and Dayton. There a very funny couple to watch. In my opinion they’re absolutely perfect of each other. They fight but they’re also make up. They need to work on their communication skills but they’re getting there.
I really like Dayton, she is a really strong and passionate character. She is very confident and she isn’t afraid to show it. I love how she fights Aaron on his sometimes obsessive, sneaky, and controlling behavior and doesn’t let him get away with it easily. I really like her for that.
I like how passionate, protective, caring and loving Aaron is towards Dayton. He really shows and tells her there’s nothing he won’t do to protect her.
I also liked Aaron cousin Tyler. He seems like a very funny and charming guy. I can’t wait to read about his story. ( Wild Attraction, Wild Temptation and Wild Addiction)
Overall it was a very fun series to read., great steamy sex, fun and strong characters and a nice storyline. I do wish there was more background to the characters. I mean, I know there is, we learn bits and pieces about it, but I would love a bit more. Especially a bit more about their time in Paris.

Quotes from the book.

“I have no Idea what I’m doing with you half the time. You are the one thing that’s unexpected, the one thing I truly have no power to control. I’m totally winging this, you know that? Like right now, I’m sitting here, completely lost, all the while hoping you’d walk out that door with me?

I roll my eyes “You and the red thing”.”I like you in red. You look like the temptation you are” “Like a great big chocolate cake in front of a dieting person?”

And he still wants to marry you? Dottie holds up her hand “oh yes. For some goddamn reason the man is crazy in love with me, and when he has abs tighter than a nun’s vagina, who am I to argue with him” “Who has nun’s-vagina abs?” Liv asks.

Review "Sincerely, Carter by Whitney G"

Just friends.
We’re just friends.
No, really. She’s just my best friend...

Arizona Turner has been my best friend since fourth grade, even when we “hated” each other. We’ve been there for one another through first kisses, first “times,” and we’ve been each other’s constant when good relationships turned bad. (We even went to colleges that were minutes away from each other…)

Throughout the years, and despite what anyone says, we’ve never crossed the line.

Never thought about it.
Never wanted to.

Until one night changed everything.
At least, it should’ve ...

Just friends.
We’re just friends.
I’m only saying this until I figure out if she’s still “just” my best friend…

Review
I gifted this book to a fellow reader for her birthday a while back. So that and the very very sexy cover really spiked my interest. After reading the summary I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this book because I don’t read about friends-to-lovers too often. But I really liked this book. It was very sweet and funny with the right amount of sexiness. I mean who wouldn’t like a guy with a six back, a half sleeve tattoo on his arm, with pretty light eyes, dark hair, a stopple beard and dimple’s. I mean that just screams perfect. And on top of that all the guy is also very smart
The female lead is also a very pretty and down to earth girl yet also kind of dreamy. She is in business school but her real passion lies in the culinary world.

So what is this book all about.
This book is about Carter and Arizona. It’s written in dual point of view. Carter and Arizona met in the fourth grade but they couldn’t stand each other. They became best friends in the fifth grade and they still are. ( I don’t remember their age though). They claim they’ve never hooked up and aren’t interested in doing so.  But that doesn’t mean it might change in the future.
There’s allot of back and forth bickering between the two of them and you can really tell they're  good friends.
You also see glimpses and notes from their past, when they just met and started to become friends.

What did I love about this book.
I liked that is was a simple story that really sucked you in. I just couldn’t put it down. Even though I suspected how it would turn out, it didn’t made this story less enjoyable
I really loved carter and the way he would do anything for Arizona was just so sweet. I don’t think he even realized how much he cared.

WARNING MAYBE SPOILER AHEAD
At one point in this book I really wanted to slap Arizona in the face and be like “girl read his damn letter and just arg!!!”. I know you’re hurting but come on!!!  I was really getting scared I wouldn’t get the ending I wanted.
END MAYBE SPOILER

So I won’t write anymore because I’m afraid I’ll really spoil something and there isn’t much more to write about. Don’t get me wrong there’s allot of things happening and going on in this book but I think I captured the essence of the story.

So If you love a friends-to-lovers kind of book, with romance and the right amount of dirt, like a simple and easy read to get your mind of things. This book will be the book for you.

Review "Maybe this time by Chantal Fernando"

Moving in with my half-brother Xander, I had no idea what to expect.
But nothing could have prepared me for this.
My brother’s friends are wild, protective, secretive, always around.
And drop dead gorgeous.
Out of all of them, there's something about Reid Knox.
Brooding, temperamental, guarded…
And I want him more than anything I have ever wanted in my life.

Review
This was an easy going book. It was very fast phased and a bit all over the place. But I liked it.

What is this book about
The main character  Summer was going to live with her brother Xander after her mother died. She didn’t have a relationship with her father Jack because her mother had a grudge against him and her brother. Besides her father and brother there were some other pretty great side characters. There is Ryan and Reid. Ryan becomes Summers best friend while Reid becomes her love interest.  Ryan and Reid are twins, they both have blond hair and blue eyes. Reid has a scar on his face. Then there is Dash who has dark hair and violet eyes and has a very sexy stopple beard.  Reid and Ryan own a bar. In the bar works Tag, he has a daughter and is a very nice guy. The only other girl that becomes friends with Summer is Jade. She used to have a thing with Ryan and Reids brother. They didn’t start of great but they ( she and summer)became friends in the end.
Summer is a very stubborn girl and she isn’t afraid to tell her opinion. She is also very feisty. I like that she is an independent girl but she can also be a bit annoying sometimes and quick to jump to conclusions. Reid is also a stubborn man and he isn’t afraid to say that he’s messed up allot and he’ll probably do it again, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t want to try having a relationship with Summer. Lots of things will try and get in-between summer and Reid.  One thing that also get in between them is there lack of communications some times and them jumping to conclusions and snapping at each other.

What did I like about this book.
I liked that is was easy going. There was allot going on in this book and it was going pretty fast passed. A view chapters in and the words I love you were thrown around.
I liked this book but I didn’t love it. I just couldn’t fall in love with the characters, I just liked them.

Review "Falling by E.K. Blair"

Sometimes it takes someone else to show us what we are truly capable of becoming.

Suffering from years of violent abuse, Ryan Campbell has learned how to keep people from getting too close. But when you shut yourself off, people get hurt along the way. Never caring much about others, Ryan creates a world in which he doesn’t have to feel.

When Ryan meets Candace Parker, all of his walls slowly begin to crumble. Not sure of the truth of who she is, he feels his mind is playing tricks on him. Unable to force out the thoughts that consume him, Ryan is haunted by visions that torment him every time he looks at her. He finds himself swallowed by guilt and blame, but he’s unwilling to turn his back on the one person that could possibly save him.
You’ve heard Candace’s story in Fading, now hear Ryan’s.

 Review
I’ve read the first book, Fading which is written in Candace point of view, a while back. I never got the chance to read the book in Ryan’s point of view. And I must say I loved it so much.  Ryan is such a selfless caring guy and he was so patient and loving towards Candace. He really melts my heart.

What is this story about.

This story is the same as in the first book but in my opinion you don’t have to read that one to read and understand this one. Although the story is the same, there is so much more to it in my opinion. This story is in Ryan’s point of view. Ryan is a 28 man, and he’s just perfect.  It wasn’t described, in this book what he looks like and I don’t remember but I pictures a man with a very hot body, tall, dark messy hair with blue/green/grey eyes.
Ryan has a tough childhood. His father was an abusive drunk and because of that Ryan is scared to get involved with girls, like a  relationship, because he’s scared he’ll turn out like his father. Ryan owns a bar near campus which is quite successful  One night he hears some noise near the dumpster behind his bar but he thinks nothing of it until he hears a girl scream. He runs out to see what is going on and finds this girl being beaten and raped.  He doesn’t know who this girl is and neither the police or the hospital contacts him about anything related to the attack so he doesn’t know how this girl is doing and who she it. That night really messed with his head.
At his bar he needs a new band to play, and that’s how he became friends with mark and Jace. Jace is plays in the band that he booked for his bar.  One morning he sees this girl working in a coffee shop and she reminds him of the girl that was attacked near his bar but he convinced himself that she couldn’t be. It turns out that this girl is very close friends with Jace.  Ryan is really intrigued with this girl and wants to get to know her better.  He didn’t know how hard that would be. Candace is very hard to read, doesn’t trust people easily and doesn’t really open up to anyone except Jace.  Ryan doesn’t let that get in his way and he finds himself falling in love with her. Candace has her secrets and Ryan want to get her to open up to him, trust him, need him. But he doesn’t know he knew her secret all along. And that secret, the secret they both kept, is what might stand between them.
There are allot of amazing side characters in this book.  There are Jace and Mark of course. Then there was Max, he’s the head of security for Ryans bar. Then there’s Mel and Zane. Mel also works for Ryan behind the bar.
Then there are Ryans mother donna and his cousin Traci. Besides tracy Ryan has more cousins and they all have children but I don’t remember all their names. There are allot more side characters but I really don’t remember them all.

What did I love about this book.
I just loved Ryan. He is such an amazing caring guy. He went through so much himself and he still manages to put that aside and give everything he has for Candace. I see allot from Candace in myself, so I could relate to her in some way. I understood the things she did, and why she acted some times and I wanted to hate her for putting Ryan threw the things she did but I understood her. I didn’t like seeing Ryan so hurt but I understood where she’s coming from.
I really loved the story, it showed me you can trust people. You just have to find the right people to trust. I showed me that people are willing to fight and wait for you, but you have to give them a chance. You have to let them in.  Even though you’re scared shitless you have to try and push through it and try.   You don’t have to let the pain you felt in the past, keep you from living in the present.

Quotes

Pain is a reminder you’re still alive

"You are the only reason there’s light in my life. Before you, there was nothing but darkness."

"You’re not gonna get drunk, slap my ass, and tell me how sexy I am,  are you?"

Review "Beautiful Bitch by Christina Lauren"

Just when Chloe’s career starts to take off, Bennett wishes it would all slow down long enough to spend a wild night alone with his girlfriend. But after he refuses to take no for an answer, Chloe and Bennett find themselves with two plane tickets, one French Villa, and a surprising conversation that, predictably, leaves them wrestling under the covers.

Review
I’m not sure if I like this book. I found it very confusing, and in order to explain why properly I have to spoil some things so here is your warning.

What is this book about
I thought this book would take place after the events, including the epilogue in beautiful bastard. But this wasn’t the case.  The book starts with Bennett thinking about the moment after he and chloe rekindle at her presentation. It tells you that Bennett and Chloe where broken up and separated for two months, but the book doesn’t tell you why exactly. It only tells you that they had a rough time transitioning from hate fucking to loving each other. Apparently Bennett messed up, was a jerk, and Chloe left. There were also tons of new people in this book that chloe apparently knew her whole life.
Bennett wants to take some time off before he and chloe are moving to New York to open an new office for Ryan Media. Chloe doesn’t work for Bennett anymore but she still works for Ryan inc. At least that’s what I think, I’m not sure. Bennett and Chloe are very busy and they don’t see each other that much. Bennett wants to take a vacation to France together but Chloe doesn’t think it’s a good idea due having little time. In the end Bennett gets Chloe to say yes but they go on separate days. On top off all of this Chloe can’t get to France because there was a strike at the airport, causing her to be a view days late. In France, during a sex session, bennetts asks Chloe to marry him. No he tells her he wants to get married. It turns out that Chloe was also going to ask Bennett to marry her. This confused me because Bennett already asked Chloe in the sweetest way in France in the epilogue in Beautiful Bastard.

What did I think of this book
Like I tried to explain. It seems like this book was a bit random, just to give us more of Chloe and Bennett. Don’t get me wrong I like seeing more off Chloe and Bennett but I missed debt and background story in this book. It felt like Christina Lauren forgot some things from the first book while writing this one. I hoped this book would show how Bennett and Chloe were doing after the epilogue or show us what happened at the end of the book and the beginning of the epilogue but it just didn’t match. I also would liked to see some more information on what the hell happened and what was going on. We just didn’t get much of that in my opinion. So I someone reading this review and is like but I know what the hell happened or something, please let me know.
So overall I just like this book. It was oke. It wasn’t what I wished for and I’m sad that it wasn’t. There was so much potential in this book and It just didn’t meet that potential. It felt like the books or series wasn’t planned that well.
I did love seeing Bennett being the one to try and fix their relationship and try and spend some quality time together. He was really trying and put in allot of effort.

Review "Unchained by J.Lynn"

Between the pissed off creatures that want demon-hunter Lily Marks dead and the fallen angel who just...wants her, Lily is about ready to trade in forever for a comfy job in a cubicle farm.

The fact that she and Julian are civil to one another is enough to have her thrown out of the Sanctuary, but she can't shake her not-so-angelic stalker or how he brings her dangerously close to ecstasy.

Her forbidden relationship with Julian provides the perfect fuel for suspicion when a traitor is discovered to be working within the Sanctuary. Lily quickly finds herself hunted by well, everyone.

Her only hope is to discover the real traitor before she loses everything--and she'll need Julian's help. That is, if Julian is really there to help her...and not destroy her.

Yeah, being a Nephilim isn't everything it's cracked up to be.

Review

I have read this book many times and I still love it. Yes I’m not shocked anymore when I found out who is betraying information but the story still thrills me.

What is this story about.
This story is set in the world of the nephilim. The nephilim are the children of (fallen) angels and humans. The nephilim are responsible for fight the fallen angels, minions ( nephilim turned dark because of the fallen persuasion) and dead heads ( humans who’s bodies are possessed by another soul that isn’t willing to move on)
The main character in this story is Lilly, she is one of the view female nephilim and a very strong hunter. She has long auburn eyes, creamy skin and stunning green eyes. The main male character is named Julian. Julian is a fallen angel so you can imagine him being perfect.  He stands over Six and a half feet tall while Lilly is only five foot four…. In heels. He has sandy blond hair that comes to his shoulders. He has striking blue eyes and has sizzling features and of course a rock hard body.
Then there is Luke, Luke is lily’s best friend and they’ve know each other for a long time. Besides Luke the is Nathaniel, he is the head of the organization, named the sanctuary, that Lilly works for. Another important character in this book is Michael. Michael is an police officer that stumbles in the nephilim world, only he doesn’t realize it was his world all along.
Other than fighting the minions, dead heads, and fallen, lily is also fighting her attraction for Julian because it’s against the rules. She is supposed to kill Julian, not kiss him. But Julian is impossible to ignore and very fast and strong. Also he saved her live eight times and maybe many more times that Lilly doesn’t know about. On top of all that there’s also a moll in the sanctuary and lily is desperate to find out who it is, especially when she becomes a suspect.

What did I love about this book.
I loved the trill and suspense in this book. I also love the setting of it, I liked mythology. I loved the characters. I loved how strong and passionate lily is and I loved the sexy and strong Julian. I loved that this book shows you that there’s always a choice and that you shouldn’t judge a person on what their race or job is. That there’s always more to a person than what you might think or expect.

I could tell that this is one of the first books that Jennifer has written because her writing style has changed. The way she builds a world, characters and tells a story is still very strong and I love that.

Review "My Sweetest Escape by Chelsea M. Cameron"

The past will always find you.

Jos Archer was the girl with the perfect life; until the night it all came crashing down around her. Now, nine months later, she still hasn't begun to pick up the pieces. Even transferring to a new college and living under the watchful eye of her older sister, Renee, isn't enough to help her feel normal again.

Review
I liked this book, it was okey. I read my favorite mistake a while ago and I liked it.  In this book the characters where a bit controversial, and that’s okey but I didn’t expect it. Also the main character was 17 and that’s a bit below the age group I read about lately. Overall it was a okey book and I enjoyed it. It just wasn’t as good as some of the books I’ve read recently.

What is this book about.
This book focuses on the little sister from Renee, Joselyn aka Jos. Jos was a prim and proper girl until something happened causing her to chance completely. Jos is sent to live with her sister Renee. Renee lives with her boyfriend paul, Mase and Renee and Taylor and Hunter ( Taylor was the main character in the first book).
Jos has gone through her wild phase hard, causing her to drop out of her old university and transfer to another one. She is very closed off and doesn’t want to be helped. It doesn’t help that her sister has taking on the mother/big sister/ and prison guard roll and having all the other people in the house watch her like a hawk as well.
In the hospital ( when she had to tag along for her sisters shift), she met dusty, a guy with green eyes, dark hair and a bit of darkish skin. Dusty is a friend of hunters. During her second class she meets a this girl called Hannah. Hannah has allot of blond hair and a burn scar on the left side of her face and arm. They hit it off immediately.
This book is very similar to the first one. Both Jos and Dusty have a secret that they don’t want to share. Little do they know that there secrets are very similar.

What did I like about this book
I liked that this was an easy read. You didn’t have to focus much and it doesn’t take you on a emotional rollercoaster.
I liked the characters but I just didn’t love them. I just couldn’t love this book and I really wanted to. If I didn’t read some excellent books before this one, I might enjoy it more.
I did like that this book was about redemption and letting go of your past. It shoes that sometimes it’s worth trusting someone with you secret.  And that is great to have a close group of people that love and support you.
I also like Hannah very much. She was a very funny and strong girl and her sex metaphors where just hilarious.

Quotes that I liked.
Just smile. The world isn’t that bad. Besides, you have to have the bad parts so you recognize the good ones when they come along.

Tasty, Tasty man cake covered in sex frosting.
