Shayna Renee’s Spicy Reads ~ “Beautiful. Inspiring. Ridiculously entertaining. I loved EVERY SINGLE SECOND of this! With a strong Sex and the City vibe, Torre takes us on a fun, entertaining, and angsty journey of self discover and love. Passionate, outgoing, hilarious, and very well written, LOVE, CHLOE is one of Torre’s best work! People aren’t always what they seem, and Chloe Madison is about to get her wake-up call.”

Jessica Sotelo (Angie & Jess’s Dreamy Reads) ~ “Alessandra Torre takes a huge leap outside the box with Love, Chloe, a captivating, romantic story of self discovery that follows fallen socialite, Chloe Madison. Chloe, born into wealth and privilege, unexpectedly finds herself homeless and unemployed after all of her family's assets are seized by the government, just before she discovers her longtime boyfriend's infidelity. While her situation seems dire, the story that evolves is a fun, surprising one, wrought with magnetic, snarky characters and humor ridden dialogue all swathed together by Alessandra Torre's sharp writing style. This book chronicles Chloe's newfound view on life, on love, on people, on New York and her voice, as well as her perspective, is deliciously consuming.”

Mara’s Bookshelf ~ “Love, Chloe is a refreshingly sassy sexy read and I loved and enjoyed every little bit of this book. Yes, even the desperate ex, the un-parent-like parents, but most of all, Chanel! Alessandra Torre is an exceptional writer and she shows it with every story she publishes. Love, Chloe is a must read for everyone who is going through a tough life. Let Carter and Chloe inspire you with their journey in life and love and give you hope that everything will turn out for the best.”

Review "Her forbidden hero by Laura Kaye"

She’s always been off-limits…

Former Army Special Forces Sgt. Marco Vieri has never thought of Alyssa Scott as more than his best friend’s little sister, but her return home changes that…and challenges him to keep his war-borne demons at bay. Marco’s not the same person he was back when he protected Alyssa from her abusive father, and he’s not about to let her see the mess he’s become.

…but now she’s all grown up.

When Alyssa takes a job at the bar where Marco works, her carefree smiles wreak havoc on his resolve to bury his feelings. How can he protect her when he can’t stop thinking about her in his bed? But Alyssa’s not looking for protection—not anymore. Now that she’s back in his life, she’s determined to heal her forbidden hero, one touch at a time…

Review
I'm really into military heros or story's lately so I enjoyed this book. It wasn't a masterpiece or incredable but I enjoyed it non the less.
What is this book all about?
Alyssa and Marco knew each other their whole lives. Alyssa was the younger sister of Marco's best friend. Both he and marco are in the army. Marco is an former special forces soldier and he didn't come home from the war unharmed. PTSD is a real nasty thing and the after physical injuries don't help either.
Allyssa isn't doing that well at the moment either. She came back to her home town to try and get the one guy she loved all her live, marco. Other than that she really needs a job since her as is as broke as they come. The is just a view days short from being totally broke. She can afford to sleep a night or two in a cheap hostel and some nights in her car and then it's over with .So how can Allyssa hide the shit she's in and get the guy but also deal with his problems. And how can she get him so see her other than his best friends little sister.  One things she doesn't know is that Marco doesn't see her as just the little sister. Oh no he noticed her alright. But he feels like he can't expect her to put up with his problems let alone trust her with them. He doesn't want her to see him as broken. So lets see how long will it take until they can put their secrets on the table and get on with it.

What did I like about this book
It was an enjoyable read. Ofcourse we can all figure out which way this story will end but that didn't stop me from enjoying this book. It was a fun and easy read.

Review "Foreplay by Sophie Jordan"

Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs.

Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…

Review
This book sure was something different. It isn't your usual story about girl meets boy, they fall in love etc. No not one bit. Let me tell you what this book is about

What is this book about
Pepper has been in love with hunter as long as she can remember. Only she doesn't know how to grab his attention as a woman and not his sisters best friend. It doesn't help  her confidence that she is a inexperienced virgin. Her friends decide to help her get a one night stand so she does from a scardy cat to a goddess in bed. She doesn't end up having a one night stand but she does meet a guy that's going to teach her foreplay. Yes you heard that right. When Reece gets ask to teach a girl foreplay, he's not sure what to expect from the tiny girl that reminds him of a mouse. He doesn't expect to be so attracted to her. He doesn't expect to grow close to her at all. And he definitely didn't expect to care for her and maybe fall in love. But will his feelings become mutual or will hunter always be on the pedestal Pepper placed him on and will she fail to see what is right in front of her.
What did I like about this book
I liked that the story was a bit different. I really liked Reece. If i was Pepper I wouldn't hesitate and fight it at all. I think she's so hung up on Hunter because of what he and his family did for her when she was younger. He is safe.
I didn't find Reece's secret something I'd run away from. Yeah it wasn't a good situation to be in and I understand that it hurts him but it's not unforgivable or that terrible in my opinion.

Review "All of you by Christina Lee"

Avery has just met her hot upstairs neighbor. He's irresistible. Tattooed. And a virgin.

Nursing student Avery Michaels wants nothing to do with dating—she's perfectly happy single. Privy to too many of her mother's bad decisions and even worse taste in boyfriends, all Avery can handle is a string of uncomplicated hookups whenever the mood strikes.

When she meets smoking hot tattoo artist Bennett, she wants him—for just one night. But he won't accept a no-strings-attached arrangement. He lives by a straight-laced code of values based on his own troubled upbringing.

Bennett sees something special in Avery and he wants more from her. Way more. As Avery wrestles with her emotions for Bennett, danger and tragedy force them to open up to each other. And Avery must face the terrifying realization that she wants more from him, too.

So she needs to make a choice—let Bennett go or finally let him in

Review
I liked this book. It was a tad different, in a good way. The hero and heroin aren't you're typical characters.  I've read this book because the author was coming to Apollycon. I've had a great time chatting with her.
What is this book all about
This book is about nursing student Avery. After overcoming a hard past, leaving her being unable to trust. She doesn't shy away from sex, after all a woman has needs to. One night she meets Bennett but he doesn't seem that into her.  He is not one bit interested in a one night stand. After all Bennett is a virgin and he wants his first time to be with some one he cares about. Now guys a virgin doesn't mean a saint, keep that in mind ;)
What did I think about this book
I liked it. I wasn't the best book I've read but it was enjoyable and easy read.  If you're looking for something easy to read but isn't superficial or shallow that go pick up this book!

Review " Pushing the limits by Katie McGarry"

"I won't tell anyone, Echo. I promise." Noah tucked a curl behind my ear. It had been so long since someone touched me like he did. Why did it have to be Noah Hutchins? His dark brown eyes shifted to my covered arms. "You didn't do that-did you? It was done to you?" No one ever asked that question. They stared. They whispered. They laughed. But they never asked.

So wrong for each other...and yet so right.

No one knows what happened the night Echo Emerson went from popular girl with jock boyfriend to gossiped-about outsider with "freaky" scars on her arms. Even Echo can't remember the whole truth of that horrible night. All she knows is that she wants everything to go back to normal. But when Noah Hutchins, the smoking-hot, girl-using loner in the black leather jacket, explodes into her life with his tough attitude and surprising understanding, Echo's world shifts in ways she could never have imagined. They should have nothing in common. And with the secrets they both keep, being together is pretty much impossible.Yet the crazy attraction between them refuses to go away. And Echo has to ask herself just how far they can push the limits and what she'll risk for the one guy who might teach her how to love again..

Review
Love, love, loved this book so much! It is such an amazing YA book. It has great depth and character development. I've told the author this when I've met her in Apollycon this year. She talked with such passion about this group. It was amazing to talk with her about this story. She told me what with this story she wanted to tell people that things will get better, you have to get through it and fight for it. Things can be very ugly for sure but things can also be very great! And well I totally agree with her!
What is this book all about
This book is about Echo and Noah. Well stable loving homes and childhoods aren't something Echo and Noah are to familiar with. Echo was a populair girl until a horrible night changed everything. Echo is covered in scares and is very closed off after that. The one thing that makes is worse is that she doesn't remember what happend and that after that night she can't see her mother anymore. The only parent she felt truly loved her. Her father remarried her old babysitter, and has a baby on the way. He is very over protective and it annoyed  the hell out of me.  And the new wife comes across as overly bubbly and is trying a tad to much in my opinion.
After noah parents died in a fire he was moved from foster home to foster home. He is know as the stoner, bad guy because he punched one of his foster fathers in the face. No one knows that said father was abusing his own son and noah tried to help him. No one knows that noah wants nothing more than to get his two younger brothers back. Noah's brothers were also send to foster care and Noah can't believe that they have a good home. He is sure that it isn't what his seems.
After Noah and Echo get together for study sessions they grow closer to each other.
Can Noah and Echo overcome their own trauma's and trust and love each other. Will the truth about the night that changed everything for Echo be told and what other secrets are noah hiding? Is her right and is nothing as it seems or can somethings be just good?
What did I like about this book
I just loved this story. I love seeing characters overcome their demons, slay them and thrive. I love seeing the development and depth in characters and really get to know them.
It's a very good story. The author has a great talent. I'm sure I'll read more of her in the future!

Review "Thicker than water by Brigid Kemmerer"

On his own.

Thomas Bellweather hasn’t been in town long. Just long enough for his newlywed mother to be murdered, and for his new stepdad’s cop colleagues to decide Thomas is the primary suspect.

Not that there’s any evidence. But before Thomas got to Garretts Mill there had just been one other murder in twenty years.

The only person who believes him is Charlotte Rooker, little sister to three cops and, with her soft hands and sweet curves, straight-up dangerous to Thomas. Her best friend was the other murder vic. And she’d like a couple answers.

Answers that could get them both killed, and reveal a truth Thomas would die to keep hidden…

Review
I really liked this book. It was nice. It was kind of predictable but hell I enjoyed it.  I don't read to many YA books lately but this one I liked! I read this book because this author was at apollycon2016!
What is this book all about
This book is about Thomas and Charlotte. Thomas doesn't have it easy. After his mom got murdered in their home, he is their prime suspect. It doesn't help well kind of does that his step-father is a police officer. At the funeral he meets Charlotte. Well it doesn't really help his case because all of her brothers, she has 3 or 4 no maybe 2... anyway, and he father are police officers and they are sure that Thomas killed his mother. Add living in a small town to the list.  Yeah not looking good. Thomas just doesn't know how to prove that he didn't kill his mother! Charlotte seems to be the only person in town that believe's he's innocent and is willing to help him. Only Charlotte comes from a very very overprotective cop family, adding diabetes to the list doesn't help either.  Thomas and Charlotte have to find a way to prove thomas innocence and figuring out their own feelings without making things worse for Thomas. And yeah when  the whole town and overprotective family is hunting you down is something you really don't need in your life.
What did I like about this book
I liked that this book was a bit different. It really took a big turn that I didn't see coming. I'm still not sure that the story needed that. I think it could do without but I say well done to the author for trying. I did have a bit of a hard time understanding at that point but I got it eventually. Like I've said many times before that might just be because I read really fast and tend to skip over things haha. I know bad habit.
Overall this was a nice read! The author was really nice, I'm glad I've met her!

Review "Up in smoke by Tessa Bailey"

Never start a fire you can’t control…

Connor Bannon is supposed to be dead. Dishonorably discharged from the Navy SEALs, he's spent the last two years working as a street enforcer in Brooklyn for his cousin's crime ring. Through a twist of fate, he's now in Chicago, working undercover to bust criminals. But when a cute little arsonist joins the team—all combat boots, tiny jean shorts, and hot-pink hair—Connor’s notorious iron control slips.

Erin "she's getting away" O'Dea knows two things. She hates authority. And… Nope, that's it. When she's forced to operate on the “right” side of the law, her fear of being confined and controlled blazes to the surface. The last thing she expects is a control freak like Connor to soothe her when she needs it most. Worse, something behind the sexy ex-soldier's eyes ignites a dangerous inferno of desire. One that invites Erin to play with fire. And one that could get them both killed

Review
Hot danm, there was smoke alright, probably coming out of my ears hahah. This book was steaming HOT!.  I never read anything about this author. I bought this book at Apollycon because she was an attending author there. I don't regret it one bit! Only sad this is that I didn't read it before hand so I could tell the author that in person.

What is this book about.
Well this book is about a group of misfits basically. They don't follow the law well. Their only option was going to jail (again) or becoming part of a special police lead group.
In this group alpha ex navy seal with a soft heart Connor meets broken feisty sassy fire starting Erin. Erin didn't have a easy past and she has major issues. But her issues seem to be less terrifying when she's around Connor. But can she live with his need to touch her, with his alpha male ways?  And can he be with a girl that can't stand to be touched, that has a massive wall around her heart? Well you have to read this book to find out?
And if you thing this is only about steaming chemistry, love etc no it's also a nice mysterie/police book. They do solve a crime ;)

What did I like about this book
Well as I said the chemistry between Connor and Erin was of the charts, so ofcourse I like that. I liked that they actually solved a crime, so it wasn't just insta love/lost etc.
I liked learning more about the characters and figuring them out.
Overall I really enjoyed reading this book! I've order the other books in this series as well.

Oh when I finished this book I found out that this was book two in this series. It didn't bother me at all and I had no trouble reading it. But now I will order book 1, 3 and in the future book 4. I like to learn more about this group!

Review "Lev by Bella Aurora"

From the moment Lev Leokov spots the young woman hiding behind her hair in the middle of the gentleman's club, he can't take his eyes off of her.
For the very first time in his life, he is affected. Having been told his entire life that he can't process or understand emotion, he considers it a big deal.

When Mina Harris gets caught red-handed with a wallet that isn't hers, she falls apart. She's tired, lonely and hasn't eaten in days.

Lev offers her an ultimatum... A nice warm bed, a hot meal and a job, or the cops.

Mina takes her chances with Lev.
After all, a person with nothing has nothing left to lose.

Review
How much did I love this. Is was amazing! This is the second book I've read by Bella Aurora. It was very different than the first book (Raw) I've read by her but I loved it just as much.

What is this book all about
This book is about Lev and Mina. Mina is a homeless girl who is pretty close to starving to death. On night she decides to go to a club and steals a wallet. Lev, who is the brother of the guy who's wallet she stole, saw her and was intrigued by her. He catches her and offers her a job.  After he drops her of at 'home' and catches her in a lie, he takes her home with him. He gives her a place to sleep, something to eat, something to wear and a job. Ofcourse mina is a bit apprehensive by the mysterious and very handsome guy but he isn't like other guys. There is something off about Lev. He doesn't seem to know how to read people well and isn't all that tactful.
So what would you do if you had to choose between cops and/or starving to death or accepting a meal, clothes and a roof over your head?

What did I thing about this book
I am really really in love with this book. Something about the way it was written, the characters, the story, just spoke to me. I'm becoming a big fan of Belle Aurora. She really has a great talent.
I just had a great time reading this book. It wasn't to bad that I got to read it while laying on a beach in Miami ;)
