Review "Breach, Dissolution, Infraction & Reciprocity by K.I. Lynn"

Existence is more than just a word, it’s a state of being. More importantly, it’s my state of being. Day by day I go through the motions of living—eat, breathe, work, sleep.

When I finally get some help at work it comes in the form of Nathan Thorne. He’s sexy, cocky, arrogant, an asshole, and total bullshit.

I see through the façade to the turbulent man beneath, but I’m not the only one who can see through masks.

One late night the tension between us explodes, starting a lust filled craving for each other. All it takes is that night and his dirty talking mouth, and I’m his.

Now sex is in the mix. Violent and dirty and passionate and everything I need to fill the void inside me but one thing is missing—he can never love me.

It’s not enough for me to leave, even though I know I should.

More than my heart is on the line, and I don’t know if I’ll survive our breach.

Review:
It has been a while when I first read this book. I think it was back in 2014 when I met this author at a signing. Anyhow I recalled loving this series and when I found out that two more books (well one book and one novella) where added to this series I thought it was time for a reread.

What is this book about:
This book is about Nathan and Delilah aka Lila. Both of them have suffered in their past, so much that it left them broken. They work together as lawyers in a law firm. They can't stand eachother and bicker most of the time but they also can't stay away from eachother. The sexual tension is through the roof.
As they grow closer together it could go either way, they either destroy each other even more or if they give it a chance, they could heal and help eachother?

What did I like about this book:
I find it difficult to write this bit because when I was doing my reread I was wondering why I loved this book, series, so much. I found the characters interesting but I missed a bit of a proper introduction. It didn't bother me much perse but it would have helped.
I felt like Lila went from I hate you to I can't live without you pretty quick. And while I really liked the sex scenes I did feel like there was a bit to much at one point.
It was my intrigue in these characters, in what happend to lila and Nathan and their chemistry that kept me going. And I'm really glad I did. The ending and the chapters leading up to the ending really made me want to keep on reading.
Note these sex scenes are dirty, very dirty. So if you don't like a dirty talking alpha male then don't read this book.

Favorite Quote: “She deserved more, so much more than me; an angry, depressed, broken man. I couldn't give her what she needed - love. So, I did what I had asked her to do. I left.”

Review:
This is such a cute little addition to the series. It's very short, obviously since it's a novella, but it's worth the read.

What is this book about:
This book is the last chapter of the first book and a look into the second book from Nathan's point of view. It's short but it shows what he's thinking during the last chapters of Breach and what his motivation for doing what he did is.

What did I like about this book:
I liked seeing more from Nathans pov. I usually like dual point of views in romance books because it gives you more insight in what someone's thinking and why they're doing what they are doing.
It's also fun to see what they think about their love intrest.

Title: Infraction (Breach #2)
Author: K.I. Lynn
Publisher: K.I. Lynn
Format: Paperback
Amount of Pages: 284
Genre: Erotica, Adult, Romance

Date Read: 1st: 2014 2nd: 09-08-2018 - 10-08-2018

Favorite Quote: “He didn’t have me to lose.” My breathing picked up as the emotional pain tightened my chest. “He threw me away.”

Review:
This book reminded me why I liked this series in the first place. There was so much more dept to the story. We really see the characters grow and develop.
The sex was still there, and still very dirty, but it wasn't about that anymore, there was more going on outside of those scenes.

What is this book about:
This book continues where the first one ended. Lila was in a horrible car accident and is trying to not only physically recover from that but also from the emotional trauma conflicted on her by Nathan.
Nathan is trying his best to be there for her and to fix what he broke. He realized that live without her isn't what he wants. Can Nathan and Lila fix their relationship and heal as individuals or is what they had broken forever?

What did I like about this book:
I liked seeing these characters grow. I liked how realistically the author handled their issues and didn't have them be magically fixed. She showed that dealing with anxiety can be crippling and destructive and that it takes time and effort to work on it. I also liked that the author showed how much therapy can help with that and that there is nothing wrong with going/needing a psychiatrist.
I'm also glad that not everything that happened was brushed aside and forgiven.
This book might be my favorite in this series. Can't wait to read on.

Favorite Quote:"I didn't want to love her, but in the end, I couldn't fight fate."

Review:
This is the final book in the Breach trilogy. Lila and Nathan have been through allot in their past and while being together. They deserve a happy ever after.

What is this book about:
In this book we continue to follow the journey of Lila and Nathan. They seem to finally go into a steady happy flow. But for how long? Nathan's past isn't very interested in letting things go, it's always watching and waiting for the time to pounce. Now that Nathan is happy with Lila will the mobster let that go?
Not only does Nathan's past come knocking on their door but so does Lila's. Lila's "family" isn't taking to kindle in Lila moving on an being happy. Both of Lila and Nathan will have to fight once again to survive their past and deal with it for once and for all.

What did I like about this book:
I liked to see how much Nathan and Lila are still growing. How much effort they are putting into working things out and moving forward. I like that. It's realistic.
I found this book to be the most thrilling in the series. Allot of things where going on and shit really got real.
Overall it's a great conclusion on to a great series. Very enjoyable (dirty talking)read.
