Take a Chance by abbi glines

Take a Chance: A Rosemary Beach Novel
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the story of Grant, the sexy playboy who first captured readers hearts in Fallen Too Far

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister—even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her

review
I do like Grant a lot. He doesn't beat Rush tho. I just love that guy, so I'am happy that he and blair were in take a chance a lot.
Back to Grant. I don't know how he ever put up with nan. I mean I can't stand the girl but a very little tiny part of me feel sorry for her. But then again she brought it down on her own.
Harlow is has a wall around her heart that is so big that I wonder if she will ever let someone in and I just can't figure out why. Maybe I skipped something in the book but for the life of me I can't understand why she has the major walls up. I get that you don't trust people easily and you wan't to protect yourself for playboys like Grant but danm she takes it to a whole new level. It's a bit annoying actually. A few times I was thinking oh for the love of god harlow how many times does the guy have to say it. I mean really does he have to spell it out for you every time. And when you THINK, and I mean just THINK that he doesn't want you, or be with nan or what not you would have noticed it. He would have told you. And I get that your insecure and you don't want to get hurt but danm girl you are going to make yourself very sad and miserable and depressed living like that. Yes Grant has a past and made some very stupid stupid mistakes but he is trying and he is trying hard. Cut the guy some slack
Grant is such a smooth talker. The words that come out of that guys mouth is incredible. So sweet and romantic and sexy and how and ahh I liked it a lot.

So I liked a lot about this book but here were also things I didn't like. Like in the beginning of this book there was a lot of jumping threw time it was hard to keep up. Also I did think Grant was a bit of a douche by going back to Nan every time and I disliked Harlow for being so danm insecure and guarded sometimes. I was like just get over it already. And her big secret. I didn't think it was such a big deal. And I found the way Harlow reacts to it, it a bit naive. And I thought it was kind of bitchy to just leave Grant after he found out. I mean the guy was shocked, give him some time and not end it because he didn't except if after two minutes. I understand it isn't easy for you and you were a bit hurt but so is he. It's a big bom to drop on somebody and expect them to just except it and don't see you a bit differently. I mean that is natural.

So i'm going to give it 4.5 stars. Why not 5, well because I liked it a lot but i'm not sure I really really loved it.

I'm excited for the next book because I want to know how the story is going to wait. But to be honest it's not like I can't wait and I need it now. I think there going to be together. Fight sometimes, make up, Harlow making it difficult for Grant, and Grant using a lot of sweet words but they will end up together.

This book is not my favorite in this series but I enjoyed it never the less :D
