My story isn’t a love story … not the typical kind anyway.
As a lawyer, I’m used to discovery, but I never saw this one coming. 

Every day, River gives me ten reasons to stay away, and then eleven reasons why I can't. Our relationship was to remain strictly business, or at least I tried. 

Four years of marriage, and everything with Cole has changed. I never knew two people who lived together could be so distant. But I’m not ready to give up on him.

This is my second ARC ever so I'm very excited to read it!!

What is this book about
This story is about Marley. Marley is a 32 year old lawyer. She is very good. She and her husband Cole have a law firm together. Marley and cole's relationship is far from what it was. Marley wan't a child really bad but it seems like her husband isn't that into it. He is all for getting his own pleasure and needs fufilled but Marley's not so much. Cole is away on business trips allot leaving her alone all the time. They're not really in a relationship anymore. They're more like two people living in the same house, running into eachother casually, saying they  love each other etc.
Then there is River. River isn't what you'd expect. He's covered in tattoos, has light brown hair and the lightest blue eyes. He is intense, very intense. When he want's something he'll get it. And he wants Marley. River gives marley everything she wants. Someone that talks to her, wants her, be there, they fight and push each other. Everything Marley wants with Cole but isn't getting. She is trying her hardest to keep River at arms length but how much longer can she do that.

What did I like about this book
This book isn't your typical love story. It isn't a story I'd normally read because the characters are older than I normally read about but I loved it! It was a really good story! There are some things in this book that I don't condone, I won't say what it is but I didn't like that part of the story.
I loved the chemistry River and Marley. They are so good for each other because they are so different. It just worked. I don't think much of Cole. In the beginning he was just a character that was kind of there but after reading the book I really hated him. What kind of selfish bastard does that to the woman he claims to love!! I mean where you dropped often as a child or something!
What river did wasn't good either but I kind of understood but it could be avoided easily by just telling the truth. I understand why he didn't, why he was scared so I forgive him.
