Review "Take a Chance by Abbi Glines (Rosemary Beach #7, Chance #1)"

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

Review
I really like Grant, yes he must have had a massive brain fart for ever dating Nan but I like the guy. So I looked forward to reading this book. I even liked Harlow in the previous book. But I ended up just liking this book, not loving it. And that's because of Harlow. She has major trust issues, and that's hard I know that from personal experience, but I just don't understand why?  What the hell happened to her resulting in those issues. I just don't get it. And her constantly holding it against Grant that he slept with Nan really got annoying. Yes it doesn't speak in his favor but danm girl what more does he have to do to prove that he loves you. Every time something happens or seem to happen she runs, and never ever gives Grant the benefit of the doubt. So when her big secret  came out and Grant was upset, did she give him a chance to process it all. Not she did what she always does.  I mean finding out that a person you love has kept  secret from you ( i understand why) but then not even giving that person a second to process it all and become well agitated with them. No I didn't like that at all. Harlow is a really nice and kind person but she really needs to work on those trust issues and learn not to run and give a person, especially one that you love so much the benefit of a doubt.  So I do want to read the next book because I want to know how their story ends and then move on to the next book. I do believe that Grant and Harlow are perfect for each other. Grant made some choices that weren't really smart to go but he made a big effort to change and he isn't a bad guy, he's a great guy. And Harlow is really sweet but so danm insecure. I hope they work it out, that harlow opens her eyes and start living ( like she claims she does)

What is this book all about
Well as you can guess from my little rant, this book is about Grant and Harlow. Throughout the book you see the other characters. And of course Nan is still spitting fire and drama all over town. Grant is completely smitten with Harlow but Harlow keeps him at arm length. Over time they got together, like who can resist Grant. But Harlows secret changed that. Now they have to find their way back together and talk about things. A major problem in their relationship is that mostly Harlow assumes things and runs. And Grant, well in my mind he really didn't do anything wrong, from the point they really got together. Yeah before that he made some mistakes.

What did I like about this book
I like seeing the change in Grant and seeing him grow. I loved seeing the other characters and I liked getting to know harlow a bit. I really really liked Harlow's brother Mase ( forgot to tell you guys that. ) Mase is Harlows older brother, who was raised by his mother and stepfather on a ranch in Texas.

I didn't really like the change in writing style. It was a bit confusing and it didn't flow.

Review "Simple Perfection by Abbi Glines (Rosemary Beach #6, Perfection #2)"

Woods had his perfect life mapped out for him. Rise up the ranks of the family business. Marry the rich girl of his parents’ dreams. Pretend that wealth and privilege was all he’d ever wanted. Then a girl named Della breezed into town, a beautifully imperfect stranger who captured his heart and opened his eyes to a new kind of future. Woods is ready and willing to sacrifice everything for her when the sudden death of his father leaves him with his mother to care for and a business to manage.

Della is determined to be strong for Woods, even as she’s quietly falling to pieces. No matter how far from home she’s run, the ghosts of her past have never stopped haunting her. Struggling to hide her true feelings from Woods, Della fears she can’t be his rock without dragging him down into the darkness with her. But is she strong enough to let go of the last thing holding her together?

Review
God, I remember not liking this book that much the first time I read it becauseI felt like Della left Woods for too long but I freaking love it the second time around. I ofcourse didin't like seeing woods so hurt but Della really needed this. I really want to aploud della's friend for doing this for her.

What is this book all about
This book starts where Twisted Perfection ended. Della continues to have night terrors and Woods is kind of smothering her. It is obvious that he loves her and that he is willing to do everything to protect her but it's not always the things we need. He needs to support her(which he does) and let Della learn how to protect herself, to heal herself.  Woods can protect her all he wants, tell and show her how much he loves her all he wants, but if Della doesn't see it, doesn't feel it, doesn't feel like she's enough for him, it won't work.
Basiclly this book is about Della finding her way in life, spreads her wings and learn to love herself.  She wants to be the strong one for once, not to have woods worry all the time and feeling more secure and worthy.

What did I love about this book
I love Della, god I love that woman. She is so strong and she doesn't even realize it.  I'm so glad she got to see what everyone was seeing. I'm so glad she saw it in the end. And I love her and Woods together. It was an learning proces for Woods too. He wanted to safe Della to much, protect her to much. I love that about him but it wasn't what she needed.
And there sex, dear god those who have some very steamy sex.
I can't wait to see more of them in through out the next books. Next up is Grant and Harlows story.

Review "Twisted Perfection by Abbi Glines (Rosemary Beach #5, Perfection #1)"

Life outside of her house was a new experience for Della Sloane. The dark secrets of her past weren’t something she ever intended to share with anyone. They would never understand. No one would ever get close enough to find out. There was always a chance she’d go crazy sooner than they expected…

Woods Kerrington had never been one to be attracted to fragile females. They seemed like too much work. He wasn’t in it for the work just the pleasure. A night full of naughty fun had been exactly what was on his mind when he’d laid eyes on the hot little number that didn’t know how to pump gas and needed some help.

What he didn’t know was she was as fragile as they came.
The carefree girl who spoke her mind and didn’t care what the world thought of her was more breakable than he could ever imagine…

Review
I've forgotten how much I love Della in this book. She is such an awesome and inspiring person, she just can't see it and that breaks my heart. It really does. I really hated Woods father and his stupid fiancee. What kind of woman cares so little that she would be happy to force a man into marring her. How little respect for yourself do you have.

What is this book about
This book is a spin off from the Too Far series. It's part of the Rosemary Beach series. It has the same characters, and some more, than the Too Far books but it focus on Woods and Della.
Della has a horrible past, and I don't think she even revealed all of it. It left her with an incredibly low self esteem and self doubt. She doesn't feel like she's good enough for anyone. She believes she's going to face the same fate as her mother did.
Woods, what can I say about woods. Woods is basically being his fathers puppet. He wants the club and thinks he'll do whatever it takes to makes sure he gets it. Even if that means marrying that god awful woman Angelina. It isn't until he met Della, he feels like he wants more. That being unhappy for the rest of his life, being a puppet, isn't worth as much as he thought it was.

What did I love about this book
I just adored Della, she was so strong and the way she's trying to look at live is amazing. The things she had to deal with in her live are just horrible. I really want whats best for her and it's frustrating that she can't see what we, the readers, and all the other characters can see. But I understand it that you have to believe it for yourself. It doesn't matter how much anybody else tells you, you have to believe it yourself.
And woods, dear woods, he is one possessive, caveman, alpha loving piece of man. Those two really fell in love fast. I love how Woods is willing to do anything for Della, really keep her safe. But on the other hand, if it was me, it would be a bit to much. I hope that Della stands up for herself and sets her boundaries. Not let Woods need to protect her, drag her down. But I do believe that Woods can really help Della heal, it just comes down to Della herself.

Review "Forever too Far by Abbi Glines (Rosemary Beach #3, Too Far,#3)"

Review
This is the final book for Rush and Blaire's story. I would be sad that this is the end but I knew we'll see them in the other books so I'm happy about that.

What is this book about
Well Blaire and Rush are finally happy. Blaire's pregnancy is going well. But ofcourse there is always something going one. Again it's Nan that is causing trouble. Ever since she found out that Kiro ( a member of the slacker demons) is her father, she is raising hell there. Especially since she found out that Harlow, Kiro's other daughter, existed and that Kiro took care of Harlow and not her. Rush is called by his father to help and take care of things. You can imagine that that won't be easy. Nan still hates Blair, so that's not making things any easier.  There are allot of things we'll find out in this book.  Rosemary beach is never without drama.

What did I like about this book
I love seeing how Rush and Blaire's story ended.  Yes they still need to work on things but there getting better. Especially when Nan is a bit out of the picture, things go well for my favorite couple. I'm excited to read more about rush and blaire in the other books. Now I can't wait to find out about Woods love interest Della.

Review "Never too Far by Abbi Glines (Rosemary Beach #2, Too Far #2)"

He had held a secret that destroyed her world.

Everything she had known was no longer true.

Blaire couldn’t stop loving him but she knew she could never forgive him.
Now, she was back home and learning to live again. Moving on with life… until something happened to send her world spinning once again.
What do you do when the one person you can never trust again is the one that you need to trust so desperately?

You lie, hide, avoid, and pray that your sins never find you out.

Review
I was so excited to continue reading about Blair and Rush story. I was anxious  find out what's going to happen next. There still having a pretty hard time. Blair has problems trusting Rush and Rush has trouble balancing taking care of Nan and being there for Blair. He really has problems with coping and dealing with problems. It isn't that hard to understand why though.  He never had to.

what is this book about
This book takes of where the first one ended. Blair left and Rush is a mess. A turn in events causes Blaire to move back to Rosemary Beach, only until she can get her life back on track. Rush ofcourse see's this as an opportunity to get Blair back. He say's he's willing to do what it takes, but is he. And will Blair be able to forgive him and trust him again. Not only that but feel more secure.  After all it takes two to be in a relationship. Not only that but having to deal with Rush's hateful mother and bitchy sister isn't helping. Both of them need to find balance and figure out how to deal and talk about their problems without running and having to apologize over and over again. They both need to learn to work and be together to make their relationship work.

What did I love about this book.
I really enjoy reading about Rush and Blaire's relationship. I really wanted to know how things worked out for them. It has been hard and it won't be easy but I really want it to succeed. Like I said before, both of them need to learn how to be together. Rush needs to find balance and needs to learn how to deal and cope with issues. And Blaire needs to lean how to depend a bit on others. How to be in a relationship, romantically or not. I can't blame her, and him for that matter. They had a hard past. Hard habits are hard to change.

Review
I've read this book a while ago but it turns out I've never written an review. So since I haven't read the last view books in this series yet, I've decided to re-read everything and update my reviews.

What is this book about
This book is written in Blair's point of view. Blair is a nineteen year old, blond bombshell from Alabama, that wouldn't be complete without a gun. After her mother passed away, blaire had to sell everything to pay off her mothers medical bils. This leaves her no choice to call her father. Take in mind that Blair's father left her, and her mother five years ago, to never return, not even for her mothers funeral.  So after calling her father, and arriving to the a address he gave her. Blair arrives in Rosemary Beach, at a big mansion. It turns out that her father is not even there, so once more blaire is left on her own. The son of the women blaire's dad married, owns the house and he isn't as welcoming. But blaire being the strong women as she is, keeps her head up high and deals with the shit life throws at her. It doesn't help that Rush, the son of blaires fathers wive, the only son of a rock star, is very very handsome. Rush has short dark hair, with hazel silvery eyes, tattooed covered hard and sexy body.
At one point Blair has a feeling that live is turning around for her.  She has a job and made some new friends. But there allot of drama in Rosemary Beach, not only does Nan, Rush extremely bitchy and hateful sister, hates her for no reason, but there are some major secrets being kept. And this secret might be closer to Blair than she wishes. This secret, once it comes out, will send Blair running, with no idea if she'll ever return

What did I love about this book
Well it's a dead give away that I just love rush. Who doesn't love a bad boy rock star son who's sexy as hell. He didn't have a normal or easy childhood, he had to grow up fast and take care of her bitchy highness Nan. Under all the layers of bad ass is a caring, passionate sweet guy.
And ofcourse do I love blaire. She is such a strong character, she makes the best of what she has.
I like the side characters and the world Abbi has build. This book was really hard to put down, and I had a hard time waiting to read the second one to take a minute to wright this review. Even though I have read this story, it still makes me hyped to continue reading!

Review "Emma Hart: The Holly Woods Files 1&2"

I’m an Italian-Texan woman in a family full of cops. I’m passionate and shoot before I think. You only f*ck with me if you’re stupid.

Photograph cheating spouses. Hand over the evidence. Cash my check.
That was my plan when I returned home to Holly Woods, Texas, and became a private investigator.
Finding the dead body in my dumpster? Yeah… Given the choice, I think I would have opted out of that little discovery, especially since all three of my brothers are cops. And my Italian grandmother is sure the reason I’m single is because of my job.
Of course, my connection to the victim is entirely coincidental. Until I’m hired by her husband to investigate her murder and shoved bang-smack into the path of Detective Drake Nash. My nemesis, a persistent pain in my ass, and one hell of a sexy son of a bitch.
Shame he still holds a grudge from that time I shot him in the foot twelve years ago, or we could have something. In another life.
So now all I have to do is avoid my nonna’s blind dates, try not to blackmail my brothers into giving me confidential police files, and absolutely do not point my gun at Drake Nash. Or kiss him. Or jump his bones.
All while I hunt down the killer.
Sounds totally simple—until a second body proves that sometimes things that start as coincidences don’t always end up that way…

Review

I really really like this book. I haven't read anything in a while from emma hart but I'm glad I've re-discovered her and I love her. This book was amazing. This book is very thrilling and very exciting, and hot. One character  I definitely didn't like was our main character, Noelle's grandma. She was so annoying, trying to find Noelle a boyfriend and setting her up. And that god awful accent and temper. Not hating on Italian accents but it didn't help me like the grandma.

What is this book about.

Noelle is a Italian Texas women, so you can imagine she has a bit of a temper. Noelle comes from a family of cops, her father and three brothers are cops and so was she. But she quit the job and became a privet investigator. She is very good at her job, the best there is. Only this time a body was found on her grounds and ofcourse very sexy, hot, alpha detective Drake Nash. He and noelle do not get along at all and the attraction and spark between them aren't helping at all.

What did I like about this book

I like the mystery in this book. It really kept you wanting to find out more and more. Not once did I thought I had a clue who the killer was and why he did what he did. So bravo for emma, very good.  I also liked the strong female character. I really liked Noelle, she was strong and she wasn't afraid to stand up for herself and get what she wanted. I really respected that. I did keep wondering how the hell that woman wasn't fat. She was inhaling cupcakes on a daily basis.  It drove be kind of crazy, only because it made me crave cupcakes ahahaha.
I loved how Noelle was dealing with drake. She didn't put up with his shit and dear god did he hate that.

One date with the sexier-than-sin Detective Drake Nash. Simple.

Until you take into account that my brother finally proposed to his girlfriend, so Nonna is on a warpath—and the crazy old bat has Cupid by the balls.

The upcoming mayoral elections has everyone running on full speed, and while I couldn’t give any less craps about the corrupt Holly Woods mayor’s office, a dead body in the middle of a campaign speech has me thrown right into the middle of it. The victim is close to the mayor, but all he cares about is minimizing the damage to his campaign, so he hires me to work alongside Drake to close the case as quickly as possible.

Bad news for our tentative relationship.

We disagree far more than we agree, but being at loggerheads won’t get this murder solved… Or deal with the arrival of someone from his past.
The mysteries behind the murder aren’t the only things unraveling, and despite being knee-deep in lies and corruption and bonds so tangled they’re almost indecipherable, I have to figure out if I’m willing to fight for Drake the way I do justice…
Or if he’ll be my one who gets away

Review

I still loved this book but it was a little less thrilling than the first one because it wasn't as new. I'm glad to see some development in the relationship between Noelle and Drake.

What was this book about

Once again there are some new murders in Holly Woods Texas, and again it's getting to close to Noelle. Which ofcourse means that Noelle has to work with Drake again, now more closely than before.
Noelle isn't working on these murders but as a member of the Holly Woods police team. You see the mayor has personally hired Noelle to help the police. As good as Noelle is that doesn't mean that everyone is happy that Noelle is helping.  And it really doesn't help when all Noelle and Drake seem to do is argue and fight. And ofcourse there is still that lingering attraction between them.

What did I like this book.

I liked reading about Noelle and Drake, and seeing there relationship grow. I still didn't like the grandma at all, she was getting more and more possessed with the matter as the story continued. I really didn't like that woman at all, she really needs to learn boundaries.
I can't wait to read the last book so I can find out how their relationship is going and I'm a bit curious what's going to happen next in the o so quiet town of holly woods texas.  And ofcourse I want to know if drake's annoying ex fiance is taking backing down or not. My guess, not.
