Review "Take a Chance by Abbi Glines (Rosemary Beach #7, Chance #1)"

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

Review
I really like Grant, yes he must have had a massive brain fart for ever dating Nan but I like the guy. So I looked forward to reading this book. I even liked Harlow in the previous book. But I ended up just liking this book, not loving it. And that's because of Harlow. She has major trust issues, and that's hard I know that from personal experience, but I just don't understand why?  What the hell happened to her resulting in those issues. I just don't get it. And her constantly holding it against Grant that he slept with Nan really got annoying. Yes it doesn't speak in his favor but danm girl what more does he have to do to prove that he loves you. Every time something happens or seem to happen she runs, and never ever gives Grant the benefit of the doubt. So when her big secret  came out and Grant was upset, did she give him a chance to process it all. Not she did what she always does.  I mean finding out that a person you love has kept  secret from you ( i understand why) but then not even giving that person a second to process it all and become well agitated with them. No I didn't like that at all. Harlow is a really nice and kind person but she really needs to work on those trust issues and learn not to run and give a person, especially one that you love so much the benefit of a doubt.  So I do want to read the next book because I want to know how their story ends and then move on to the next book. I do believe that Grant and Harlow are perfect for each other. Grant made some choices that weren't really smart to go but he made a big effort to change and he isn't a bad guy, he's a great guy. And Harlow is really sweet but so danm insecure. I hope they work it out, that harlow opens her eyes and start living ( like she claims she does)

What is this book all about
Well as you can guess from my little rant, this book is about Grant and Harlow. Throughout the book you see the other characters. And of course Nan is still spitting fire and drama all over town. Grant is completely smitten with Harlow but Harlow keeps him at arm length. Over time they got together, like who can resist Grant. But Harlows secret changed that. Now they have to find their way back together and talk about things. A major problem in their relationship is that mostly Harlow assumes things and runs. And Grant, well in my mind he really didn't do anything wrong, from the point they really got together. Yeah before that he made some mistakes.

What did I like about this book
I like seeing the change in Grant and seeing him grow. I loved seeing the other characters and I liked getting to know harlow a bit. I really really liked Harlow's brother Mase ( forgot to tell you guys that. ) Mase is Harlows older brother, who was raised by his mother and stepfather on a ranch in Texas.

I didn't really like the change in writing style. It was a bit confusing and it didn't flow.
