Review "Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer"

Juliet Young always writes letters to her mother, a world-traveling photojournalist. Even after her mother's death, she leaves letters at her grave. It's the only way Juliet can cope.

Declan Murphy isn't the sort of guy you want to cross. In the midst of his court-ordered community service at the local cemetery, he's trying to escape the demons of his past.

When Declan reads a haunting letter left beside a grave, he can't resist writing back. Soon, he's opening up to a perfect stranger, and their connection is immediate. But neither Declan nor Juliet knows that they're not actually strangers. When life at school interferes with their secret life of letters, sparks will fly as Juliet and Declan discover truths that might tear them apart.

Review:
I really like this book. It's not what I normally read but It's really good. The blurb is what got me, it sounded really interesting.
I enjoyed reading this book and it make me think about a few things that happens so much in real life and that's prejudice. I was getting a bit annoyed with Juliet for being a bit mean to Declan and having a opinion ready already without knowing him, just because of rumors and half truths. And then I though, people do this all the time. The reason I'm not liking it now is because we see things from Declan's pov so we know him. Juliet doesn't. So that shows how important it is to keep an open mind. And to try and refrain from judgement until you actually know a person.

What is this book about:
This book is about 17 year old Juliet and Declan. Juliet recently lost her mother and she is still grieving. She continues to write letters to her mom and leaves them at her grave.
Declan and Juliet are on different sides in school. Juliet is a nice girl while declan is a bit antisocial and a convict. They have more in common than they think.
One day someone writes back to Juliets letters to her mom, at first Juliet is pissed but she keeps talking to this person. They really share their darkest secrets with each other, while not knowing who the other is.

What did I like about this book:
I liked the writing style. I really liked how the story flowed and how everything was set up. It was really relatable and it got you to think.
I'm not a huge fan of YA, especially when it's set in high school and is a romance, but this one was really good. It's different from other YA books. The romance especially, you'll see when you read the book.

Rating:
4 I really like it Stars
