Review "How to date a douchebag by Sara Ney"

Zeke Daniels isn't just a douchebag; he's an a**hole.

A total and complete jerk, Zeke keeps people at a distance. He has no interest in relationships—most a**holes don’t.

Dating?
Being part of a couple? Nope. Not for him.

He's never given any thought to what he wants in a girlfriend, because he's never had any intention of having one. Shit, he barely has a relationship with his family, and they're related; his own friends don’t even like him.

So why does he keep thinking about Violet DeLuca?
Sweet, quiet Violet—his opposite in every sense of the word.
The light to his dark, even her damn name sounds like rays of sunshine and happiness and shit.

And that pisses him off, too.

Favorite Quote: “I’ve had time to recover and grow and move on with my life, but—I never do. Never. What I’ve done is adjust. Bend. Amend. Change. Learn to live without the things I once had. That’s what you do when you lose people you love. They say that once someone dies, they’re always with you in spirit; it’s something I know to be true, because I feel my parents every second of every day. That doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt. It only hurts less.”

Review:
I was interested in Zeke's story. We didn't see that much of him in the first book but he behaved like a total asshole when we did see him. I wanted to know whether or not there was more to him than meets the eye.
I'm happy to say that yes there is more than meets the eye, but boy he is such a huge jackass. He really took being a douchebag to a whole other level. You could tell that he was struggling allot with emotions and letting people in. We get some background on why he does that, and it's understandable why he doesn't want to let people close. He has major abandonment issues. But I wished we got more detail, more of a background story other than it just being mentioned in passing.

Violet is a sweet girl. A very sweet and innocent girl. She didn't have it easy growing up, her parents died when she was young and she was send to live with her aunt and uncle but they couldn't afford to take care of her so she was put in the foster care system. I wished we got more on her background. If we did maybe I could have connected with her more.
She never mentioned being in contact with her family, and that she misses them, and that's odd to me. If they are that close they could atleast call or text?
Anyhow, Violet really took allot of shit from Zeke. I'm not sure I'd be able to take that much and still keep going.

Overall it was an enjoyable story, I wished we got more background, some more dept to the story.
