Review "The Spell Weaver Series by Annette Marie"

As a nymph living in exile among humans, Clio has picked up all sorts of unique survival skills. But stealing from the most dangerous spell weavers in the Underworld? Not so much.

Unfortunately, that’s exactly what she has to do to earn a ticket back home.

Conning her way into the Underworld may have gone pretty well, but now she’s got a new problem. His name is Lyre and he’s a sinfully alluring incubus, a dangerously skilled spell weaver, and the only thing standing between her and stealing some damn magic.

Maneuvering around him without blowing her cover shouldn’t be that difficult, but chaos has been dogging her every step, monsters hide behind beautiful faces, and Lyre keeps saving her neck even though they’re enemies. Kind of enemies? Either way, her mission is getting complicated fast, and in the Underworld, even one mistake could prove fatal.

Review:
I wasn't sure if I'd like this book but one of my book friends loves this series so I had to give it a try. I must say, I'm glad I gave it a try. I really like this book.
The world was build very well and It was interesting. I really liked how there are two worlds, well three when you add earth, the overworld which has demons which has tons of light, and the underwold which also has demons and is more dark than anything.

What is this book about
This book is about Clio. She is a overwold demon called Nymphs. She has royal blood but has been cast out of the overworld and is currently living in Earth. She is working jobs for her brother who is the prince of their land in the overworld.
On one of the jobs her brother has her go to the underworld. She is to visit Chrystalis, a place where demons live/work. Some demons are giften at weaving spells for other demons. Clio is to go and have a master weaver commission a spell for her. Clio need to get that spell in order for her people to stand a fighting chance into defending their land from being attacked by a neighboring, and ruling caste of demons in the overworld.
In Crystalis she meets a master weaver whom is to work with her and create a spell for her. Although he's nothing like she would have thought. It's a young, very handsome and charming man called Lyre. Lyre is an incubus so ofcourse he's extremely attractive. He oozes sensuality. And to make it worse she already met him. He was one of the reasons she failed to finish her assignment her brother gave her.
Lyre didn't expect the skittish, clumsy stunning woman to commission a spell from him. He is curious to know what makes her want a spell in the first place. He is drawn to her and he really shouldn't be.
When things go south Clio and Lyre don't have any other choice but to work together.

What did I like about this book.
I loved Lyre. He is such a sassy, attractive guy. I could tell there was more to him than meets the eye. He wants to be more. He wants to be free, free from his family.
I liked Clio but I could tell she was very naive. I hope she'll grow a bit because if not it might not end well for her.
I like Clio and Lyre together, their banter was hilarious.

There were something I saw coming, that where a bit predictable but overall I really enjoyed this book. Now that i'm a bit more familiar with the characters and the world Annette created, I can't wait to read the next few books and find out what will happen to Clio and Lyre.

I was also interested in Ash. He seems like such an interesting character. I really hope we see more of him through out the series. I like him.

Clio might be a nymph living in exile among humans. And she might possess the rare ability to mimic any magic she sees. And she might have just seriously ticked off the most powerful family of spell weavers in the Underworld.

But she is not in love with an incubus.

Lyre is the rebellious black sheep of said weaver family, and he's the only reason she survived her recent Underworld "vacation." He's also the sexiest thing she's ever seen. Together, they have to track down a catastrophically dangerous magic—a magic he created, she sort of stole, and they both lost—before his family gets their hands on it. And that means fighting alongside him in a desperate attempt to avert complete disaster.

But she is definitely not in love with him. At least, she's pretty sure she's not.

Mostly sure. Maybe sure? …Crap.

Review:
The story is getting better and better and better. I wish clio and lyre would just go for it though. The suspense is killing me.
Bastian doing what he did is something I suspected from the beginning. I saw that coming but it still was an impact and it fit the story.

What is this book about:
This book pics up where the first one left. Clio and Lyre are on the run. They escaped the underworld but are fugitives. The underworld, especially the hades family and lyre's family want them dead. They send one of their most dangerous assasins, a draconion named Ash to kill them.
Besides staying alive they have to find a way to get to the overworld, to get to Clio's family. She still is upholding the idea that her brother Bastian isn't doing anything wrong and the he was mislead as well.
While finding their way to the overworld Clio and Lyre are getting closer and closer. Clio is still trying to deny she liked Lyre, that she's attracted to him. Lyre is trying to keep to himself, that he is just attracted to Clio because he's an incubus and that he can't be with her, that he's incapable of falling in love.
Will they survive their trip to the overworld? Will they be able to stop a war with a strong and powerfull caste, Griffins, named the Ra family in the overworld. And will the Hades Family stop trying to kill lyre?

What did I love about this book:
I just love Lyre and Clio. They could be great together if they just go for it. They obviously have chemistry, and are attracted to each other. They compliment each other well.
I really like Ash. He is definitely more than meets the eye.
While I did saw that ending coming (not everything), I can't wait to see how it all turns out.

When Clio conned her way into the Underworld to steal magic from the notorious spell weavers of Chrysalis, she thought she was helping protect her homeland.

Instead, she exposed Lyre's most calamitous spell, and now her half-brother Bastian plans to wield it against the powerful Ra family. Clio and Lyre have to stop him before he can unleash it, but Bastian isn't their only adversary.

Chrysalis wants the shadow weave—and they want Lyre dead. And this time, they aren’t trusting mercenaries to get the job done. Lyre's father is coming for him, and no magic can defeat the most lethal weaver in the three realms.

From the scorching deserts of Ra to the darkest corner of the Underworld, Clio and Lyre must chase the shadow weave as both the hunters and the hunted. To make it out alive, they'll need magic more devious and dangerous than either of them alone possesses, and if they fail, the realms will pay the price.

Review:
There was definitely allot going on in this book. It was full of action.
I'm glad we got to see Clio fighting and being the bad-ass she showed she could be in the previous books. She really grew stronger and more confidant.
I'm excited that we got to see Clio and Lyre finally be together. They can really make it work. Atleast I hope they'll do.
I understand that the book had to end the way it did and it made perfect sense for Clio and Lyre but I wished it was different.

What is this book about:
This book takes off right where the last one ended. Lyre, Clio and Ash are trying to survive. They are still on the run from the Hades family and Lyre's family. Lyre's family desperately want Lyre back because they want Lyre's KLOK spell. They want a way to take over not just the underworld but earth as well. And lyre's knowledge and ability to create new spells is the way to do it.
Lyre and Clio have to find a way to defeat the strongest Spell Weaver in centuries, Lyre's father. Will they be able to survive and have their happily ever after?

What did I love about this book:
I really loved Lyre and Clio together. They are just perfect for each other and Lyre is jut amazing. I really like him. He's one of my favorite characters in this series.
I really like Ash as well, he is very mysterious and I can't wait to read his series to learn more about him.
I really liked how Clio developed. She came such a long way from the first book. It was amazing to see.
