Review
Well this book is about love, ambition and going after your dreams. It's also about appreciating what you had and not everything being what it seems. It's a story about a UK actor wanting to make it in Hollywood and his best friend that is secretly in love with him.
What did is this book all about?
This book is about Miles and Clare. Miles is a very shy actor from the UK that gets a chance that comes once in a live time. He gets the chance to go to Hollywood and star in a big movie production.
The movie he is starring in is called Dazzled and is about an angel falling in love with a human. Did you see what the author did there? I didn't love nor hate that idea. Anyway Miles's best friend Clare is in love with him and Miles doesn't know it.
When Miles goes to Hollywood , Clare goes with him for a while to help him out. Their relationship is quite entertaining seeing as Clare says what she thinks and miles is quite shy.
Anyway as miles is becoming a big start and gets a relationship with his bitchy co-start. The relationship he has with Clare fades a bit although he does try. He just doesn't get that Clare loves him. Miles has to figure out if his girlfriend is really like he things it is, and if it's worth all the drama. And what's important to him in live.
What did I like about this book?
I really really liked the concept of the book but for me it just didn't deliver. The plot seemed a bit weak and all over the place. Sometimes it was a bit fugue and I had trouble to understand what was happening at times.
One thing that really irritated me was when Miles "decided" he was also very much in love with Clare. He never gave any indication that he felt like that and from one sentence to the other they where having sex and he loved her. It just didn't feel that real to me. Maybe that's the thing it, the whole book didn't feel realistic to me. Just the way the characters where described in this book just didn't do it for me.
I feel really bad for giving this book a bad review ( yes this is bad for me) but I want to be honest. Don't let my review keep you from reading this book because you might love it!
I really wanted to love this book but overall it was just oke for me.
