REVIEW
I'm having mixed feelings about this one. I'm twisting between giving it three or four stars. I will give it 3.5 stars. The reason i'm having mixed feelings about it is because I really liked Cade. He is handsome, stunningly handsome but that's not just it. He has such a caring and sweet hart, and he really loves his disabled sister and he does everything he can to take care of her. That's the reason he started working in the porn industry, to pay for his sisters medical bill.
The first line of this book really got my attention, when I was reading this I was like come again.
I really looked forward to reading this because I thought hell if the guy is a porn star this must be steamy and the girl is a nurse in training , And I am a nurse so we have that in common. To bad I never had a porn star as my patient. That would have been awesome. But back to the point I was pleasantly surprised by Cade, because of his caring side, and he had such a difficult childhood and on top off that he had to take care of his disabled sister when he was 18.
He started this book of being cocky and confident and witty and as the story progressed you felt like you knew him, and wanted to help him, even protect him a little bit. And danm those sex scenes where steamy.
I also got the feeling that he sometimes was a bit 'desperate' in his relationship with Alexa, that or he was just head over heels.
Well having this said I just really liked Cade
Oke now lets talk about alexa she is a rich, posh, well brought up nurse in training. In the beginning of the story she acted all shy and cute and not like a rich girl but in fact one you get to know her she is not like that at all. Oke this is what irritated me about her.
She met Cade twice, once at the hospital and once in a bar when she was drunk with her friends. Her friend tried to sell her to Cade so that she could lose her virginity and her other friend (which is a male) offers to take her virginity. One if my friend tried to sell me out like that I would kick them in their kneecaps. Oke so cade is acting real mature about it, and not wanting to take advantage of alexa, he gave her his adres for when she, if she would still want to, come over. Alexa does this, to tell him she doens't want to, and she doesn't do it that nicly. She meets his little sister their and want to help. I thought hmm thats really nice. So she goes over to his place to help. When's she gets there and start helping cade's sister I still like her but when Cade get's home and he isn't happy that his babysitter left his sister and act's like that, alexa get offended and rude. But Cade caves in because he is just kind. For me alexa totally invaded privacy and to me it feels like she is acting above it in some way, but in another way she is kind and she means well.
In the relationship at first she is like innocent and cute and stuff but I still had the feeling that she was not understanding enough for his situation and I don't think that she can ever understand because of her wealth.
So after a few bumbs in the road and they get back together she is like, you are only mine and you can't look at other women. I kid you not that is what she said. And she is giving him a hard time for not asking for money when she could have help him. I'm like he is not the kind of person to ask strangers or even friends for a lot of money, leave him alone.
I get that she got upset that, even tho they had sex for the first time and they are together, he is still working in the porn industry and get's mad, but she doesn't give him the chance to explain himself.
So yeah I got the feeling that she acts like she isn't above him and in a way she isn't but sometime, in her behavior she act superior and judge to fast while acting like a 100% victim.
so yeah I hope that my blabbing made any sense to you guys but I don't know how to put it. I really liked cage but Alexa not so much.
