The Probability of Violet and Luke by Jessica Sorensen

Luke Price and Violet Hayes haven’t seen each other in a couple of months, not since they discovered Luke’s mother’s connection to Violet’s parent’s murders. But when Luke gets into some gambling trouble with the wrong people, destiny decides to throw the two of them together and they head out to Vegas to try and settle Luke’s debt.

As Violet spends time with Luke, she becomes torn on whether she should be with him. She definitely can’t deny that her life is better when she’s with Luke and she starts to wonder if going back to Preston was a mistake.

Things seem to be going well as Violet opens up more to Luke, but then she gets a call from the detective, not only to give an update on Mira Price and the case, but to give information about some threatening texts she’s been getting. The information is not only shocking, but makes Violet question what kind of people her parents really where and whether she’ll be able to trust anyone ever again

REVIEW
I feel like this books is building up for a big finally of some kind. I feel like this series started with Violet and Luke meeting and getting to know each other. They both have messed up pasts. And that this book is giving us information to build up the plot of the story. It's not an amazing story but I still liked it. It was crazy for sure. The stuff that is happening to the both of them is really messed up. I hope we get some happiness in the next book or this will be really depressing.

So what is this story about
This books picks up after Violet and Luke find out that Luke's mother is involved in the murder of Violets parents. Violet leaves luke to go back to preston ( the really creepy, pervert, drug dealing foster father) Preston of course takes advantage of Violets situation and makes her do things she really doesn't want to but has to if she want's a place to live.
With luke and violet both having self destructive and addictive personalities are going in a down ward spiral.
When luke get in trouble with the wrong people he and Violet meet again. Luke owes money due cheating and getting caught in a gambling game, and violet messing up a drug deal with the same person. There both in trouble and run off to Vegas so that Luke can try and gamble his money back so he can clear his depth. Luke and Violet are staying with lukes uncle.

The murder case of Violets parents get's investigated again and there are some shocking results with Violet is not sure she can take. Not only is Lukes mother MIA there is also another person. And violet knows that person better than she things.

What did I like
I like the overall story. Only liked it, not loved it. There was allot of drama and crazy stuff that didn't leave much room for normal and happy stuff. I liked hat Luke and Violet try to work things out. Well I have a feeling Luke tries more that Violet. There both insecure and not sure they deserve the feelings they have and receive from one another.
I like that there were some new characters. I'm interested in luke's mute cousin Rylar. I wonder why he's mute.
I also like that Luke's father is trying to make things right. I really hope that that works out.

Like I said I have a feeling that this book is meant to give us information for the final installment. I hope that that book will be amazing and have an happy ending.
It is clear that his is straight up Jessica's ally. I do like Callie and Kayden's story more because it had more diversity. I really hope the last books will be as amazing as the first in Violets and Lukes story.
